Don't count on it. Need 2/3 to override a veto.
Money Matters - Part 3
times are a changing if not soon then in 2 more years
Jen, you'll be going nuts with the 1099's.
I'm trying not to think about it until it goes thru.
Already through. Just not in effect yet.
Well yeah that what I meant
Incredible! How long until they want this here too??

The government announced today that the recession officially ended in Jun '09. Maybe they can also pronounce the Mets the WS winners.
or the cowboys super bowl winners!
Don't be greedy - you won enough times!
not recently - besides need to catch the steelers!!!!
Hmmm the UK move is scary...
- I've never seen so much campaigning & propaganda by any incumbent admin.
i agree crazy we are still need deep in it regardless of where the stock market is.
Started Dec '07 and ended June '09.
So now they taste like chicken?
That's terrible! ... I'm voting everyone out of office!!
Oh great! now they're going to give the US ideas
Yep, banks are also starting to get flak from the politicians and community activists who criticize banks for not lending to businesses who are high risk/ have bad credit. duhh...
Yes - we saw this movie already and the ending sucks.
Went to an auction Sunday and I have never seen things go so cheap. The auctioneer could hardley give stuff away. I got big boxes of brand new Cannon towels/ washcloths for 5 bucks. I got 9 - 60" bolts of material for 5 bucks.
I just could not belive what I was seeing. My husband got this for $375. I was shaking my head as I didnt even know what it was. Must still be the economy.
me neither? what is it - for a second i thought it was a wood splitter or some sort of a log cutter.
Oil is above $82 a barrel. Highest in five months. Gold is at an all-time high. Weird. Commodities are never high when still recovering from a recession. But nothing makes sense this time around. Those high prices are not good for helping a recovery. Last thing businesses need is more higher costs. They're already facing that with taxes and healthcare.
You know you're hurting when:

Maybe people are making their own
but they better watch they'll get taxed on that!
Yes they do as I bought a cigarette machine today. I can now roll my own around 11.00 per carton verses 54.00 all ready rolled......
I posted this August 7th, look above - We have saved around 1000 bucks rolling our own now. Yes we are taxed on that, but look how much they have lost in taxes. I can hear whining coming and they will increase the tobacco taxes again. They will do it till people cant afford to buy a pack of butts and the tax revenue will plumet and they will just tax something else.
You'd save a lot more, including your health and later years, if you QUIT!
i agree victor - nasty habit - think my mother is still angry that i make her go out on the deck when she visits.
I know, but that should be your point!
They already do soda and candy here, I'll need to double check on the latte... oh yeah any take out food is taxed so if you buy from Starbucks or DD you are getting taxed for that.
