Money Matters - Part 3
I like it, but I think this 'bicycle' is broken beyond repair...
More great things awaiting us.

DH is ready to stuff a mattress.
I though about that! But then the money doesn't earn interest to pay the taxes on the surcharge of the taxes...
You didn't hear about the new mattress tax??
^_^ I'll tell him and then watch him go ballistic!
Heard on the radio this AM that Fannie/Freddie, in which we have so far sunk 200 billion dollars, is offering mortgages for as little as $1000 down! We don't learn. Same crap that got us in this mess continues unabated. And Fannie/Freddie reform is NOT part of the new financial overhaul bill. Amazing.
Also, foreclosures continue to skyrocket, with one million projected repossessions for this year.
- Yes we were still banging the drum for stimulus spending at the G20 summit, while the majority of nations were for cutting back spending.
Wow those are some salaries
A trillion here, a trillion there...

The British PM flew commercial here the other day! And not even first class. Gotta love that.
That's good, sets a good example, would be nice if our guys started doing that!
If we would have hoarded all the comic books that we could buy when we were kids we'd be rich now!
Nice find.
And baseball cards!
Hubby's nasty grandmother threw all of his away
More miserable job numbers. Lost 131,000 jobs last month, and only gained 70,000 private sector jobs. At that rate, it will take forever to recover the 8 million lost jobs. Not surprised though. With so much uncertainty in the recovery and new taxes, rules and mandates, what employer wants to take that chance?
ugh.
Did you see the article on yahoo, they are estimating a good housing market for 2014...ummm really?? how would they even know???
wow, they even want to regulate a time honored practice of childhood. how dumb is that!
Times change.
How about quitting and saving even more $????
Not to mention adding years to your life and not ending up struggling to breathe.
DH was telling me he heard on talk radio that they are now blaming the middle class for slowing the economy because noone is spending money and going into debt. How stupid is that!
They needed to blame someone
Not surprising.
First they complain that we spend too much, rack up too much debt and don't save for our retirement.
It was the banks/Financial Inst. that let the middle class over-borrow, when they knew the payments couldnt be made.
One wanted to lend Jim money and was calling 2-3 times a week and sending letters. Jim could of got a ton of $$ he wanted. To get it we had to put the house/land up.
I said " NO WAY is the house going towards a lein for a loan" Finally I got nasty with them on the phone. Then Jim got laid off - no more letters or calls anymore even now Jims back to work :-)
More to it than that. The banks were only willing to do that because the Feds, through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, were guaranteeing those risky loans. Also, there were groups that were 'picketing' banks that would not lend more to low income people.
And on that subject, the patients continue to hemorrhage.

Very interesting
Read this a few weeks back. The Census Bureau spent $23,000 on a totem pole in an effort to get more Alaskans to send back their forms. And the outcome?? Lower participation than in 2000! Incredible. Typical, but incredible.
