My last post was:

Well, most people will be getting here Friday, so I'm thinking the quilt shop if people arrive early enough.

Then Saturday is the tour/talk at Joan's, then lunch at Panera, either eaten at Joan's or at Panera. Then, looks like most people want to do JJ's after lunch. When we get back here, we'll have dinner and Stacey's baby shower. Much laughter and talking at all times will be demanded.
:-)

hot dang we is gunna have fuuu'uuun
ain't we's
i will come in the morning on friday and help if you need me ?
got to hit up my neighbor to see if my kids can sleep at her house sat night . We will see how it goes. Two nights away from mommy may be a tough one ? for a first time .

Joyce-I think you should move your post about the things for Jaye over here too:)

Raleigh, NC

Fairy - if your tummy can take it, ya gotta ride the Maid in the Mist - that was one of the coolest things I've ever done on a vacation! The sheer overwhelming power of that water - WOW - and the marvelous chilly mist! oh so cool.

besides, about 20 years ago something happened to the falls, and the American side is kinda hard to see from the American side, unless ya get on the boat!

Fairy is going to go nuts in Joan's garden - it's full of fairies! And Jaye, there are many shady benches. but no, Fairy, it's not flat. oh no, not at all. maybe on one side a bit flat. many strange clematises, too.

BTW - Jaye, Randall may want to go down ocean-way for his birthday, July 9th. How close did you say you were to Calabash?

I think Joan need to give us her Fairylicious rock ? !
Cookie did you get much storm ? hope the kingdom is doing well after it .
I M OUT OF COFFEE FILTERS !!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

bon-I was thinking that it wouldn't have a lot of steep hills for climbing and things like that-I figured being in OH the land would be flat. And as for the falls-I get severe motion sickness and am DEATHLY afraid of heights, so I figured the odds of me ever going to the falls was not likely. I was sick the whole time we were at Alcatraz after the boat ride and for a while once back to the pier:(

Sue-try a double layer of papertowel if you have a good sturdy brand...

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

That's what I was going to tell her, Stacey! I've used a paper towel on more than one occasion!

Sue, not sure how much rain we got, but we got a LOT of wind! Both the green chairs were IN THE POND! Lots of little branches down, and one not so little. Figures, I'm having some girlfriends for lunch today (they should be yummy... LOL). I wanted the gardens to be finished, but alas, NOT! Oh well, I did get 9 wonderful hostas in the hosta swap, and two other perennials that I got planted, so all is well.

I'm really not sure how I ever had time to work!

They turned me away at plasma donation yesterday. :o( They said my last blood sample came back with protein in it. I don't really understand, but they took another sample for further testing and I can't donate until that comes back so probably 10 days. Dang...I was counting on those $$!

Ok, Fairygirl, I'll go get the post about Jaye. Be right back...

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

See? That didn't take long!

I said:

My mom has volunteered her walker that has a seat on it for the garden tour for Jaye, and yes, I believe that JJ's has those carts. There are several benches at Joan's garden as well. So I don't think we'll be letting her use THAT excuse!!!! :-)

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Stacey I'm afraid of heights, get motion sick, have absolutely no balance, and do not like rapids at all. I've already decided that I'm packing at least 2 of my 5 bottles of Dramamine and I'm gonna do it, no matter how scary it is.

The first time I visited my dad he took me to one of those huge shovels they used to use for mining, called Big Brutus, he got me up in that thing and the walkways were the metal slats that you could see through, I went really slow, and there were windows all over the place; with the see through walkway and being about 10 stories up in the thing I was petrified but I knew my dad wouldn't take me in anything that was unsafe, so I went through it really slow and it wasn't bad at all, I would love to get Dave through it.

If you look At the picture on the home page, you can see people standing on the ground and the tracks are taller than the people! I have pictures of it somewhere...

i went to Kroger to get my coffee filters. LOL i got 5 packages so i won't run out for a while. 200 in each pack so i should be good LOL

Fleming Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Did someone in this group post that they collect vintage aprons?
If so, could you plse d-mail me. I have some that I'm looking for a good home for.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Taynors that sounds like something I'd do! Got to have them though!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Jean, I do believe Jaye (Heavenscape) collects them.

Fleming Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Thanks Marion

i sure wish i kept my grandma's aprons. uhg. i just didn't know any better back then.
one was turquoise with white polka dots with ruffles it was so cool. YOu wore it around your waist and it had a big band to do a big bow in the back.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Aw....how pretty...

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Crissy-all the power to ya and no way would I be caught on the brutus thingy!!LOL Joyce-if you are supposed o get the weather we are this weekend, you had better stay indoors. In the mid 90's with 90% humidity can be VERY dangerous to be laboring in.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Stacey!!! We got rain yesterday!!! Just enough to make everything wet, perfect!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I love it when you can see the rain coming out of the clouds and can hear it in the trees right up the road but you stay dry.

We had rain all around us but not a drop here--out watering early this morning then to a doctor's appointment. Everything is fine--just annual physical. Yuck!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Pretty clouds Crissy, just think you'll be over the clouds in 1 week almost to the hour..you'll be fretting wondering if I'm at the airport..lol

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Betty! I have window seats so hopefully I'll get some shots of Niagara Falls from the plane. I always sit next to the window on the same side of the plane coming and going so I get to see the whole thing. I'll be fretting wondering where to find you, but by this time we'll be having ourselves a hay day! I'm getting very excited!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ooh thanks Maid M!!! Jean dmailed me about the aprons. Hope your doctor's appt. goes well.

Bonnie, I'm an hour's drive from Calabash. You got my number!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Doctor visit went fine--waiting on some test results but the doc didn't think I have anything to worry about.

You are very welcome Jaye for posting you like antique aprons for Jean. Sometimes my "elephant" memory pays off and other times---welllll

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Betty gave me her input, but am wondering....Auntie Giggles-do you think that we should bring Mom's PT Cruiser, or my Murano????

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Stacey you better bring the Murano, it's bigger and will carry more, and I think you're going to need all the room you can get. If you know someone with a Suburban you might look into bringing that! LOL!!

Yay Marion, I'm so glad you're ok!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Well, glad Chrissy answered, cause I don't know what a Murano is!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Crissy I have been lurking as I have been busy lately.

Tink, maybe a freight car might be better for taking everything home. LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Glad the results were good results Marion...

LOL ... there is always UPS Stacey..

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL the freight car is definitely a good idea, or UPS! LOL!!! Just bring the whole darn train! LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Crissy I had a panic attack this morning, was putting things on the spare bed as I think of them, thought after my last episode of having someone elses's passport when I crossed the border that I'd better check my waist packet purse where I keep it, drats, wasn't there, looked/looked and all the while thinking, now what would I do...finally it came to me, I've a secret little place, only one I can remember, looked and there is was...
pffff...started to breath again..

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yea I can't forget that either! Dave keeps all of that stuff in a file somewhere, if I kept it, it would get lost!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Well, the Murano can fit 2 full size Xmas trees in it, so I guess that will have to do-LOL Crissy-I tell you they started making the Murano smaller so now it seems almost the same size as the Rogue-pity..... I started to make my list too so I wouldn't forget anything like say my camera or cord for downloading into my LT at the hotel.

Had an argument w/ DH as he didn't see the need to register for the baby-he said we didn't for the wedding so why would we for the baby. I said well duh, we already had everything when we got married since we'd already lived together for 4 yrs, but we don't have baby things yet. I tell ya-men. So I decided to register on Amazon-easy and convenient, plus free shipping for over $25 on most baby stuff too. Plus no limiting to what a particular store carries as Amazon has it all. He still doesn't get it....oh well. It will be easier with so much family not living too close to us

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Good for you Tink. It is easier and then you don't run the risk of getting some many duplicates of items you don't use or need many of.

Oh my gosh, time is flying.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

-----are we celebrating early Christmas @ Cookie's too?
That's a great idea!!

Betty, now that you've found it.. put in the fridge.. you'll never lose it there!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Stacey I think it is the same size as a Rogue, just an upscale version with bigger engine, leather options, and some other neat-o options they don't have for the Rogue.

Be careful Judy! Don't huot u wittwe head!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Yeah Crissy-that is what I thought. My SIL has a rogue-about 2 yrs old and I know my Murano is bigger, but the newer ones look so small:( Whenever I get mine serviced at Nissan, they always ask if I want to trade it in yet-I guess 2003-05 are in big demand as 06 is when the design changed and they got smaller...

Auntie M-my thoughts exactly, plus there are things that you want to pick out for yourself ya know??

Tante-I said it could fit 2 full size trees, not that I was bringing any-LOL

ladies sorry been MIA
