Best/Worse and what did I learn today?visit with friends...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am back home, and tired. I will catch up in the morning!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Betty!!!!!! That's hilarious!!!!!!

LOL Mary, they just made my blue/purple cake into a plain white one, they didn't use any coloring at all, then found it very cute so they stuck some silk pansies in it to decorate it some. I asked them what happened to my magazine picture, no one knew what I was talking about and the lady that took the picture from me in the first place was not there.

Mary I'm not flying to Buffalo until Thursday the 24th.

Betty you're on vacation this whole week, aren't you?

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Mary-I LOVE ren. festivals-especially the "turkey leg" (which is actually a hamhock) but I can never eat the whole thing. We always watch some of the shows and the joust and do some shopping. We have one here every year in Holly which is like 1.5 hrs away I think, but we haven't had the money to be able to go since we moved back here...

OOPS-sorry Susan-I thought they were single family-stupid me:( When we were looking for a house, our realator was showing us things in the top of our price range and after 2 full days of looking, I decided to go on the internet and look for myself. Found several and emailed her the #ers so she could set up viewings. Don't think we would have even seen this house if I hadn't found it...

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

That's ok - I'm not a fan of attached homes, but I realize they save on utilities so they Definitely have their pluses! I'm not going to get one however ^_^

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Let's all join in and sing "Happy Birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Liz, Happy Birthday to you!" now Liz don't we sound wonderful...enjoy your day, may it be filled with sunshine..

Susan, how long do you have to wait to hear from the potential buyers, does it take long to get rental land agreement o.k.? Let's hope today is the day!!! Guess you need to catch up at the office now that your back..feeling better today?

Multi tasking...now I know we all do it, so I'm asking, who has a better multi task story...I went to bed late last night, up before dawn, didn't stop for 2 seconds..found my self multi task, in the washroom, using the facilities and getting dressed at same time..how's that for making the most of your seconds..lol..

Figure if I go to bed late both tonight and tomorrow, get up again before dawn I just might have everything in order...the house cleaning can wait until I return..might have to give Crissy furniture polish and a cloth and let her go at it...

Only thing on my to-do list that I didn't get done was the firepit..ahhh maybe I can squeeze that one in tonight..

Jeff just called, said he had difficulties getting into work..a small plane crashed in his parking lot, right where he parks the car..this is the 2nd crash in less than one week..fatalities in both..

Crissy still working on schedule, it came to me, depending on what time it is Sunday, we might spend the night in Toronto at Jeff's and not make the 100 miles trek home and then back the next morning to see the sights...now if it rains Monday-good time to do the sightseeing, if it calls for rain on the Tuesday then we'll go my way for Monday and the city Tuesday..playing it all by ear....NOT on vacation until Thursday Crissy...I'll leave here at 4:45 and have to be at Mandarin Restaurant for 6:30 with the rest of the family, then to mom's to sleep..I never sleep much when I'm travelling so who knows what time I'll cross over to USA..probably early so I can beat the area traffic - highways are heavy about 6:30 - 9:00pm. if I leave at 5:00 there should be no problem..

Didn't mom say last night that seeing I would be taking you back on Wednesday that maybe she could come for the ride...yikes, her blood still isn't the best, guess it would be a quick trip back to Canada if she had problems..we'll see...think she is forgetting that Canada Day is Thursday and that Jim might have Friday off as well and would be up at the cottage for 4 days...she's been busy doing her cross stitch quilt..it's almost finished and the church group who did mine will do hers..she is excited about that...

It's been a hectic morning here..wow...left at 1:00 on Fri.morning came back to 14 messages so had a lot of callbacks...

Gab later

Tubby, how was your night, did you manage to get more than a few hours sleep?

Stacey, we have turkey legs at the fairs as well..yummy/yummy!

Morning everyone!
Happy Birthday Liz.

Tubby, so glad to hear your sleeping good.

Victoria Harbour, ON

nice to see you've your sense of humour back...got to go find a 'joke' just for you..

Victoria Harbour, ON

A hip young man goes out and buys the best car available: a 2008 Bugatti Veyron 16.4. It is the best and most expensive car in the world, and it sets him back $1.24M. He takes it out for a spin and, while doing so, stops for a red light. An old man on a moped (both looking about 90 years old) pulls up next to him. The old man looks over the sleek, shiny surface of the car and asks, "What kind of car ya' got there, sonny?"

The young man replies "A 2008 Bugatti Veyron 16.4. It cost $1.24M.

"That's a lot of money" says the old man, shocked. "Why does it cost so much?

"Because this car can do up to 320 miles an hour!" states the cool dude proudly.

The moped driver asks, "Can I take a look inside? "Sure," replies the owner.

So, the old man pokes his head in the window and looks around. Leaning back on his moped, the old man says "That's a pretty nice car, all right!"

Just then, the light changes, so the guy decides to show the old man what his car can do. He floors it, and within 30 seconds the speedometer reads 320 MPH.

Suddenly, he notices a dot in his rear view mirror. It seems to be getting closer! He slows down to see what it could be and suddenly, whhhoossh! Something whips by him, going much faster!

"What on earth could be going faster than my 16.4?" the young man asks himself.

Then, ahead of him, he sees a dot coming toward him. Whoooooosh! It goes by again, heading the opposite direction! And, it almost looked like the old man on the moped! "Couldn't be," thinks the guy. "How could a moped outrun a Bugatti?"

Again, he sees a dot in his rear view mirror! Whooooosh Ka-BbblaMMM! It plows into the back of his car, demolishing the rear end. The young man jumps out, and good grief, it is the old man!!! Of course the moped and the old man are hurting for certain. He runs up to the dying old man and says, "You're hurt bad! Is there anything I can do for you?"

The old man groans and replies "Yes. Unhook my suspenders from your side-view mirror!"

WRONG E-MAIL ADDRESS

This one is priceless....A lesson to be learned from
Typing the wrong email address!!!!

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.

Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.

The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston , a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack.

The widow decided to check her email expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted.

The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: October 16, 2010

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in.

I've seen that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then!!!! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

P. S. Sure is hot down here!!!!

One more and that's all folks...lol...just can't resist 'tubby'

An older couple is lying in bed one morning.
They had just awakened from a good night's sleep
He takes her hand and she responds, 'Don't touch me.'
'Why not?' he asked.
She answered, 'Because I'm dead.'

The husband asked...'What are you talking about? We're both lying here in bed together and talking to one another!'
She said, 'No, I'm definitely dead.'
He insisted, 'You are not dead. What in the world makes you think you're dead?'

'Because I woke up this morning and nothing hurts.'
