Best/Worse and what did I learn today?visit with friends...

Cardiff, ON(Zone 4a)

Judy, I'm so touched that I made your 'best'. It's so good to be back.

The kids have just four more days of school. I'm so excited for the summer vacation. I LOVE having my kids at home. Keith will have to go out on the train next week. He's going to buy us a minivan. With our newest addition we no longer all fit in our car. It's not a big deal up here but while we're travelling this summer we'll need it.

Other than that, I've been getting rid of a lot of stuff. If/when we move I don't want to have to deal with a bunch of clutter so I want to get it out now. We also found out that we can't just put the U-Haul on the train/barge so the fewer boxes, the better.

Betty, Keith has applied to the Bluewater board which takes in the Owen Sound area, nice and close to where you are. He hasn't heard back but we'll see what happens.

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG I'm crossing my fingers, wouldn't that be fantastic..you'll be packing light and starting fresh..wouldn't you think they'd let him know if he has a new position so arrangements could be made to replace him...surely they don't wait till mid-summer...

Hope Keith finds a good minivan, when you were down the last time I believe you rented a van for your travels...does Keith have to go for upgrading again this year? you'll visit with your parents while he does right?

Judy, as always you are in a whirlwin mode, with all the work that has been done at the cottage this weekend you should be able to now put your feet up, relax and read your book, tell Steve to go fishing lol

Finally got to talk to Cathy about coming to watch the furries, she said she wouldn't mind, lordy I feel guilty always asking her, almost every month I'm off going somewhere...told her to look at her schedule for the 30th. just maybe she could ride with me to take Crissy back to Buffalo..

Spoke to mom this morning, her blood tests she gets daily haven't had good recordings..she did though seem in a better frame of mind..she did break down though when she told me her eldest friend Mary Bradbey passed away yesterday..she had dimentia and mom didn't get to see her much as she was in a home some distance from mom...

Ahh, speaking of death, three teens went out for a boatride 2 days ago in an aluminum boat, they are from Christian Island - Indian Reserve, lake was rough, they found 1 but the other 2 are still missing...poor families..

This afternoon I got the bright idea that if I kind of used 4x4's with a topper and plant a few trees I just might hide my neighbors junk..called timbrr mart and asked them to deliver the materials including 4 bags of cement ..was suppose to be delivered tomorrow morning, come home, Cathy and her mom were here with Sailor and didn't they deliver the order..you would think I could have waited but no, dug the holes, made the arch, cemented it in..hopefully by morning I can take the support boards off and go looking for some shrubs/trees...

Melanie dropped in to pick up Noah, teen dance in Midland tonight and he wanted to go, she did have time though to sit and talk..Darren next door was working hard, I said to Melanie 'that poor man never stops' and her reply 'wonder what he says about you? guess much the same..lol..

So now I'm in for the night, mosquito's were carrying me away, going to put my feet up and rest - tomorrow is another day right?

it's hot/muggy here so just put on the a/c

Hope you all enjoyed your day..

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All;

YES BETTY! You are 'onto' me... I am definitely trying to tempt you to visit LOL!

So nice to have someone to check on things while you are out. It has been a year since we put Indy down...and 2 since Opey....and I am thinking of getting another dog. THe only thing that holds me back is that I would have to board him when traveling...
I know Sailor is glad to have someone check on him...

Judy - DS didn't want fast food either. We put some pressure on him last week and all this week he has worked in landscaping for a family friend....which in 105 degree heat is definitely WORK...

However he definitely had a LOT of pride in each day and brought home a nice check today. I can tell working makes him happy/proud/fulfilled. Hoping this new attitude continues...

Maybe Breenie can get something at a daycare... I passed a sign early this week...told youngest about it... and "lo and behold" she called them and they hired her the next day...

I can tell she is learning a lot from it already...and it's perfect for her because she is starved for constant attention..... LOL!!!

Betty - I love the idea of the grandsons competing to stay with you! Might be nice to have some one on one time with them. I'm sure being around you comforts them... MUCH more than just the chinese food !

Crissy - I'm afraid of heights too... and 'closed in' places... SO glad I don't have to take a glass elevator up 6 flights for work every day !

Betty - ALL the 'kids' I worked with got better jobs... Of a sales team of ...12-16...there are only 3 left... I visited with one friend today...she is miserable...it was a GOOD get together though...one of my new co-workers dropped by and gave her a few 'new job' ideas...

I'll pop back in a few...

HUGS!!!

Mary

Am I up B4 Betty today???

Lyndonville, NY

I think you are....or she is out shopping and opening the stores up!

Rough weekend here. That whole "anniversary" issue with my Mom. And got a note from Justin last night, my "other son". He is officially in Iraq and my heart just broke...message was "missing you and love ya Ma" Sent me right over.

So much happening here...trying to keep swimming! Going to be a hot one today....and T storms tonight.

Waving to all.....Mary, I DO understand that good thing of kids working Same here! My older two are boycotting fathers day because he has been a jerk....they are right this time. Going to be a long weekend all the way around.

Miss you all.....
Debbie

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Ha Mary! I work on the 7th floor in the first 'tower' built in Little Rock. The 'tower' is 18 stories, I'm on the 7th, and would LOVE to ride in a glass elevator, but we don't have glass elevators so that's that. It doesn't bother me a bit to work up there, I'm always looking out the window.

Wholly Toledo Stacey, you're up before anyone! LOL!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, you up before me Stacey???? ok was pouring cement at 5:30 a.m. - got an archway done last night, instead of buying cement pavers which is hard to lift I simply dig holes, pour concrete and let set..much easier...so far I've done 2 bags for the archway, 5 bags for ground pavers...now that was before 7am then off to Midland to get supplies for my brakes, needed the job done, brother Bernie (just got to love brothers) had me at his house and did the brakes, saved a few $$$, so Crissy now we'll be able to 'STOP' when necessary..lol...actually he said I could have gone another 25,000 kl but didn't want to be worrying about it, so now car has been service and brakes so other than the unexpected, she's ready to roll!

I'm hungry now so it will be a cucumber sandwich, work a bit in the gardens, rain is on it's way so I'llf inish what I'm up to then come in and work on some projects...

Debbie, Paul must be misbehaving for sure if the boys will boycot Fathers' Day...tell them not to though, I've no father, my kids have no father and what we'd all give, nasty or not, is to give him a big/big hug!

Know it's hard on you on the anniversary of mom's death, go sit by the gardens and remember the good times as she would want you to...

Any news on the licence???? please/please say yes, keep praying each day that you do..2 days of pampering is what you need and Crissy and I are just the ones to do it..

Off to put my scrubbies on and get to work..weeds are calling me...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Crissy not sure all we can get done in 2 days, but we have the CN tower..glass elevator, one of the world's tallest structure...

here's a link, below the skyline you can click on photo's to see a bit of the view...

Niagara Falls & CN tower should be a 'must'

CN tower is in Toronto, although downstown it's easily accessible..

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty now the CN Tower looks cool! That I'll do! LOL! I've been wanting to go to Canada since I was old enough to know where Canada is.

OOOOO St. Lawrence Market OOOOOO Toronto Castles, OOOOOOOO This is definitely not going to be my first and only time visiting, I don't have enough time to see everything, I'm going to have to come back! I want to go to Ottawa too but there's just not enough time! ACK!!

LOL no there isn't..do you mean the 'Casa Loma'? when a child we lived about 5 miles from it...I could almost be tour guide...know we cannot do Ottawa..lol..(just too far away-you've only 2 days remember) but I'll give you a taste of my area so I can tempt you and Dave to come back and visit...

http://www.casaloma.org/

Edited to read...

Actually Casa Loma is only about 20 minutes away from CN Tower... I worked downtown for my SIL's dad - he was in mining, we were on the 20th floor, we watched as they put the last top piece on the CN tower...now a friend of mine Jeff McGrath works at the restaurant at CN Tower..glass floor-not so sure I'd be up to having coffee there??? perhaps if I'm brave...

Imagine I'm in my jammies, just had a bath, it's 84 and humid here today, working outside all but did me in..I'll have to take a photo of what I've accomplished...6 cedars are in, need to purchse about 4 large shrubs then it just might hide the neighbors messy corner..I was laughing to myself, it's lumber, now had I been smart I'd have asked to use it and that way the mess would have been used while making my place better... can't wait for August tree sale at all the nurseries, going to purchase another 10 or 12, figure by the time I'm finished I'll not see the neighbors, teach them for not taking pride in their yards..lol

Sharon my sister called, we've decided as I'm going to spend Wednesday night in the city that we'd all go, mom/SF Jim and both of us to the Mandarin for supper, great Chinese restaurant , buffet table after buffet table, you name it regardless of the type of food, they have it...it's a chain restaurant, perhaps you have them in the USA..so there goes Wednesday night...counting down the days...

Now that I'm in my jammies, it might encourage me to stay inside and work on my projects, must be done by Sunday because Monday I'm out with the girls, Tuesday night Ann comes over for bingo and Wedn. I'm off...keep saying - stay focused Betty!!!! I can do it..know I can..lol

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

OOOO A glass floor, that would be really cool!!! You're braver than I am, I know you'll do it! I've gotten myself so excited I wish I had more vacation time to take off at work :( :( :( :(

Me and Dave both love castles, they are so unique and if the walls could talk. Don't have hardly any real castles here, just Hurtst Castle in CA that I've never been to lol!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Betty it's so hot outside here I went out there, got 3 weeds pulled, sweat was already dripping off of my face and the wasps and bees are abound, said forget it, will wait til this evening. I'm in my jammies too! LOL

Ok, it's 89* with a heat index of 108*.

Oh WOW-Casa Loma looks too cool!!!! I will have to make a stop there sometime when I come up next!!

uck-I think a glass floor would just about do me in-they would have to call paramedics to revive me:(

Betty-I figured I wasn't up B4 you, but was surprised to see that you hadn't posted. I have been getting up between 7-7:30 every am, but fell asleep a little early last night so at 6:15 I couldn't go back to sleep. Mom usually sleeps later than that, so I will be eating the breakfast at the hotel either by myself or with you two;)

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Isn't that neat Stacey! Awesome, Breakfast!! YUM!!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

oh Crissy - you'd love the Calgary Tower - it's taller than the CN tower (pffffffft Betty!) and it has a glass floor too. I went up in it to the top, and it was soooo awesome to see the city below my feet lol
Here's me, but it was so light outside that you can't see my face ^_^

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

and here's a pic of it looking waaaaaaaaaay up lol
There are too many steps to walk it, but if you walk it to the top, you get to go for free.
something like 8,700, or more - I can't remember!

Tubby were you in the hospital? sweetie you sure have been having a time of it...is it your meds again? How is Shirley doing?

Now Susan, you just know, lol, I'm going to check that one out..know that is it Japan that just built one taller..hey, anything over 10 ft. is too tall for me....how are you feeling, did you end up taking Friday off? Love the photo's...

I'd better remember to bring an extra memory card and batteries with me...

Kyle and Noah although they are spending the night tonight are off riding bikes and visiting with friends..I've been waiting for them so we can have supper, hmmmm...oh well not like it can get cold or ruined, it's just put an order next door for whatever we want....

Oh my goodness Tubby! I hope your better now! Wow!

Yes Betty, not to mention any other Canadian food you can throw at me! I'm by far less afraid of towers than arches. lol

Yes, batteries and extra memory card. My camera will take 2438 pictures on this one memory card, don't imagine I'll need many more pics than that, do you?? I better go get another memory card... lol

I think I'm going to start a checklist tonight.

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello All !

Crissy - your excitement is infectious! I'm almost feeling like I should go pack too !

Debbie - Yes - this is a "First" with ALL kids working... DH must be really misbehaving. They should kill him with kindness and make him feel REAL guilty (Unless that won't work).... I saw a car magnet today... it said "Half My Heart is in Iraq". It made my heart sink ... DS still thinking of Marines... I'm still supportive of it... he wouldn't be able to join until March....do you write to him or does he have internet?

Betty - remember you can "Text" them wtih the dinner bell ! DH took DS's text away when we got mad at him last and I'm really missing it... It seemed to help teach him a lesson though... THe teens are constantly texting...

I'll pop back on later... TUBBY - Congrats for coming home... and glad to see you post !

Waving to Susan♪♫ and everyone !
Mary

Baton Rouge, LA

IT"S RAINING !!!!!!!!!

Okay Guys & Gals... You know the Jeff Foxworthy "You know you're a Redneck ....when...."....

I'm gonna start a "You know you are a Gardener when..... "

".......you get up and hug DH and dance around the living room when it starts to rain"....

I swear I tried doing rain dances outside all day... we had thunder, lightning , dark clouds.... NO RAIN!

I just heard it pounding and it lifted my heart! I think I'll go outside and revel in it !

Hugs,
Mary

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

We have an interested party in our mobile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They loved the home as soon as they crossed the threshold, have the down payment, and took the ph# of the City rep with whom they would put in an application for the rental of the property. They rent now, so that shouldn't be a problem. They want the mobile. And they know about the move and how much it would cost.
They're waiting to find out from their bank, on MONDAY to see if they've been approved for the personal line of credit it would take to buy this place outright!
Pray for them (and us)!

I took Tues to Friday off, saw my Dr. this am, and he says my chest x-ray is normal, I started feeling better last night.
My voice is a bit whispery, but I'm feeling better. Went to a friend's 60th b-day garden party today, and had a good time. By the end of it I was tired though. I still have another day to rest.

We're going with our realtor to look at 2 houses Sunday eve, and I'm hoping I'm not being too forward about it.......
To see the homes we're going to look at, google C3429456 (26 days on the market) and C3422574 (been on the market 62 days)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, just had my coffee on the back deck, I'm doing like Mary, revelling in the beauty of the day..more color every day, just too pretty..

Have my day cut out for me, non-stop in order to finish everything I'm doing, will take photo's andpost when I come back from Ohio..wish I could post now but one never knows who is lurking lol..

Noah and Kyle are sleeping, will try not to wake them up until their dad picks them up for Father's Day golfing this morning..nice way for them to celebrate!

Tubby that sounds serious, omg you must have been in so much pain and a fright to Shirley I'm sure.. George who paints with me for going on 5 years now has been in the hospital for 1 week..seems he's not a happy camper and has been trying to get home, his wife Grace called yesterday, she's such a dear, am sure much like Shirley..was saying how difficult it was watcher her hubby of 53 years fighting to regain his strength...

On the not so good news, they found the bodies of the 2 men who drowned last week..so young..one swam to shore, said he looked back and the 2 were behind him, looked back again and no sight of them...poor families...

Mary, bet your gardens will have 5 more shades of green after the rain you had..they called for a storm, must have blown right through because we got about 10 minutes of rain and it cleared..

Mary, plane arrives at 1:00pm in Buffalo Thursday, come on, book a flight, earlier or later, we'll be there waiting with open arms..if only...we can alway wish and dream now can't we?

Debbie, you are in my thoughts this morning..sending prayers and soft hugs..

Now where is LindaKay, bet she's out riding her new wheels....am sure of it????

Crissy, don't think you need to purchase another memory card, we can exchange photo's via e-mail..

bath water getting cold, better go..gab on my next break

Ames, NE(Zone 5b)

Betty

No pain...!!!!!!
Just needed some stiches....
It was a small litle hole in stomach...
Didn't know it was there.....
But I'am alright now....(for now)...LOL
Shirley handled it with care........ ....................I think......................................................................................!!!!!!

But will see if it helps......................................
This morning I have ringing in ears.....DUH
Oh well I will have to wait and see if it gets better......

Crissy-I too have a thing for castles-DH and I have a small love affair with the renaissance period and try to go the festivals every year. Our wedding flutes came from one too;) Have heavy pewter bottoms that are 2 dragons that intertwine to make a heart.

Betty-I don't sleep well away from home either, so the odds of me being up and ready by around 7 are pretty high. Crissy-are you an early riser??

Tubby-glad you are out of the hospital and on the mend!!

Mary-we have had a good amount of rain this year and so many are complaining-not me, if I don't have to pay to water my lawn and gardens, then I am a happy girl!! My water bill for the summer mos is usually quadruple what it is any other time of the year.

Susan-will keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Betty-LK posted on Fri that she'd be in San Antonio this weekend....

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Waving hello to you Tubby from both Norm and I. Boy, if it's not one thing, it's another!!!
Thank heaven you have Shirley. Were you in the hospital very long?
Hope today finds you getting stronger....

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Saying prayers for you Susan. I surely do hope this is it for you.
Crissy - Norm and I were married at a castle 25 years ago in August. Our reception was at a hall named Camelot!! And our wedding cake was a castle!!! I'll have to dig out those pictures soon just to reminise!!!

Lyndonville, NY

(((Betty))))) Thank you....I needed that. Its such a hard day, its supposed to get easier they say...but it just isn't working for me.

Tubby, what the heck my love....your ladies here worry so much about you. Take care of yourself, listen to Shirley...and the doctors....and get better! ((((Tubby & Shirley)))))

How is my handsome Scotty & his beautiful Bev doing? I hope your behaving also Scotty! I know Bev is busy as anything keeping you in line....and the gardens.

Judy & Liz....I miss you two. I laughed so hard that day, and I hold on to that memory.

Crissy....Betty doesn't sleep much. I vouch for that. LOL BUT she is quiet as a mouse.

Betty...I have a deep concern...your not letting Crissy drive are you? ROFL...wear a seatbelt.

Love the idea "kill with kindness" with DH (not dear) but with him, is not an option. He is a person who feels he is entitled to everything...and just walks around with a puffed up chest and ego...I don't mean to sound so nasty...but lets just say a fog is lifting...and things are changing.

Waving to all.....
Debbie

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Blowing a soft wind towards you Debbie.......

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Debbie we must have crossed or something, I completely missed your post. That's got to be hard to have a son in Iraq, big big big big hugs.

Mary, YYAAAYYY for the RAIN LOL me and Dave both run around doing happy rain dances. I found the best way to get it to rain is wash your car. Yea, get on a plane and get to Buffalo!

Susan YYYAAAAYYYYYY for the buyers!!!! Hopefully they'll be able to buy it and won't back down for any reason. Does the first home have two kitchens? The second one has been on the market so long because they need more pictures! I like the outside of the second one better but that bi-level is nice too. The second one is a little cleaner.

Stacey Dave and his first wife used to do the whole Renaissance thing, he hasn't been into it since they divorced. LOL we were married in Caesar's Hotel and Casino in Lake Tahoe, NV, and we had castle invitations. The ceiling of the chapel was clouds, it was gorgeous. We had the reception, lol, at a Mexican Restaurant called Cabo Wabo's in the casino. We had a great time, and don't get me started on my cake. I had this beautiful blue and white cake picked out of a magazine, just a round 3 tier that the coloring was beautiful, gave the people making the cake the picture out of the magazine, when I got to the reception after the wedding I had this solid white 3 tier round cake, with pieces of my pansies from my throw bouquet that I gave them, as I wasn't going to throw it, on the cake. I figure when me and Dave have our 10 year anniversary I'm ordering a cake and it's going to be what I want!

I'll have to find my wedding pics on CD's and load them up so I can post them.

LOL Just as long as I get my 8 hours sleep and coffee when I get up. I'll get up early, don't worry about it. My problem is, I don't eat early. I get up at 6am every day for work and I don't eat until noonish.

Barb we wanted to get married in a castle but in CA there's not that many unless you go up to the Wine Country and it's sssooooooooo expensive we just didn't want to forge the money, we would have had to gotten a loan from the bank for it!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Debbie, I don't drive like that, I can drive like that when there's a pinch. NO I don't like to and haven't driven like that since!! LOL!!

I'm blowing a wind too Deb!

Ames, NE(Zone 5b)

Debbie

Thank you......
I be good........LOL

Tubby

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I hope your good Tubby, we do worry about you. Tell Shirley we all say HI!!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Debbie, know you are often in my thoughts...you know regardless of how long our loved ones have gone, anniversaries and special occassions such as today bring the feelings to the surface..thought this morning as I woke..no dad, kids have no dad..how very sad..but, that is how life goes and I guess we have to be strong, remember the good times ..my sister has difficulties dealing with such days more so than I, talked to her yesterday and she told me she has gone through 2 training sessions to work in a hospice home, says there are 12 beds, looks like a resort, patio outside each room with gardens so patients can see..she put her name to work today so that she could be with the men who either have no family or family live a long way away...she'll read and gab and hope in some way she's giving back to 'dad'...brought a tear to my eyes...she doesn't deal with stress very well, more death than stress so it amazed me that she's volunteering at such a facility..more power to her..

Barb, what do you have planned for today...

Susan, wouldn't it be absolutely perfect is the sale does infact go through..they certainly seem to be knowledgeable with regards to living in a park and even the chance that they shall later have to move..is it an absolute that the park is closing..know sometimes they get these grand ideas and nothing becomes of it...

Across the street there is a large vacant lot, they were doing all the leg work to put 10 homes for individuals who would not be able to ever purchase and everyone was worried about what that might do to the area...I kept quiet, what was the point, still vacant, doesn't look as though anything will be built in my day so all for not....

Praying hard Susan that you'll have one of the above..

Lol about our drive in Memphis with Crissy..ooohhh sure glad I had extra undies..I don't usually tire driving as you know but if I do I'll hand over the wheel..just incase I had a governer put on the car just so she can't speed...

Crissy, they also rent some of the castle for weddings, wouldn't be in my league for rental but would be lovely..

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Susan-Holy crap house prices are high up there!! For the $$ I expected to see relatively new and updated homes. I liked what I saw of the 2nd one better...

There were a couple others in that same subdivision that looked nice too in the same price range.

The houses we're looking at are single family homes.
The links are to attached homes.
Really want a place of our own, without sharing a wall...... But thanks so much for showing these to me.
Actually it's a buyer's market and the prices of houses have come down a lot. In '06, when we moved to Calgary, the price of the houses I showed would have been at least double what they are today.

We've been approved for $275,000, and hope to find a house less than that so our mortgage won't be over the moon! And the mortgage rate we have is 4.19% until the end of July..... I always keep it in the back of my mind "what if there should only be one wage earner, for whatever reason?" I want to be able to afford a place on my own. Once I'm in the place, I intend to keep it!!

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello Susan ! Praying that the interested folks buy your house! Sounds good so far ! I'm so happy for you !

(((HUGS))) Debbie.

Stacey - about 40 minutes from here they have a Renaissance Festival... I think it's www.la-renfest.com . Betty can bring you there on her way here. :)

Crissy - what a beautiful cake ! So they just made a totally different one and didn't tell you? So you and Betty are flying out today ! Happy Times !

Barb - Camelot was my favorite movie growing up ! Mom had the soundrack LP...I think I stil know every word ! (((HUGS))) ♪♫"Where once it never rains...till after sundown....♪♫ (?)

Betty - Yes - was SO happy I got up early (for me not for you LOL) and 'walked the path'...everything grows so fast after a nice summer shower... I swear you can hear it ! LOL.
For some strange reason I've been thinking a lot about Mom today. Totally agree...holidays can bring those feelings out. I wonder if that's part of the healing process.

Poor DH has to work. We'll "do" Fathers Day next week. I'm cooking a Chuck Roast.

IT's another scorcher out there and I want so badly to do SOMETHING outside.

I'll pop back in a bit...
Glad you are better Tubby !

Hugs,
Mary

Victoria Harbour, ON

Mary, no flying for me this time...maybe when a trip to your neck of the woods is scheduled, because you keep showing me all the things I could be enjoying..got to get back to New Orleans do dance on the streets at least 1 more time..lol...I pick Crissy up on Thursday aft. at Buffalo airport, we'll do a bit of sightseeing and eventually end up at Cookies Friday aft. or early evening...am excited...

Susan, you are a wise woman, most purchase homes thinking they can easily make the mtg. payment that is until the interest rates go up...so hoping it's in the cards for you both finally!

Been outside, it is hot and humid, did a cement walkway (stairs) up to one of the gardens, couldn't believe just how much the earth had covered the cement walking stones, do dug up the earth around them...last year I put 16 large pavers to make a checkerboard look near the other garden, well they certainly needed to be trimmed as well...so it's work inside to do the projects then outside, then inside..lol

Waiting for Greg and the boys, big object pick up starting tomorrow so I need to get a few items stored behind the back shed out for pick up..tried to do some on my own, no can do, just too heavy..

tonight I was thinking of getting all the ashes out of the firepit, amazing how quickly the pit gets full...will only do that IF the mosquito's take a break and go searching for better blood...

back to work..
