HOW is Your Garden Weather In Your Area?
In Northeast Louisiana, the temp during the day is running about 95, at night about 85. The humity is 80 plus which makes our heat index soar. It is both dry and wet in our area. It is all according where the heat generated rain storms occur. The garden looks great and is bearing good. Pleanty of tomatoes, squash, chard, lettuce and cucumbers. Onions, radishs, and potatoes are finished. Peppers, okra, egg plant and fennel haven't started blooming yet. Cantalopes are beautiful are full of blooms.
wow Jim sound good except the storm part looks like we will be getting the storms tomarrow whem you get done with them lol for a few days , it seems when the hit these Mt.s they stall and stay for a few days and we get a few inches .so it helps the garden but mowing is a bit ruff. it is going to be 91 to day and 85 humity not good .
So far we have missed the rains. We get .2 and a mile down the road they get an inch. One area got seven inchs in just a few minutes the other day. Glad I missed that one.
Here in North Central Missouri, we have had way too much rain. Just happened to run across your thread and thought I would show you my pitiful garden, was going to send the pic to my nephew. It just cannot quit raining here. I have a carpet of weeds for my garden now, just hope what I did get planted doesn't drown. Not a good year for gardeners or farmers around here. :(
sherlyn,
that is harsh i do feel sorry for you do you have anything left?
Sarge
The plants are still out there so far, but guess what, it's raining again this morning :( I'm sure in a month or so, we will be saying, 'Wish we could get a little rain' :) Have a good one!
HOT -- almost 100 here and 100 in some areas (not typical for this time of year.) Mid humid. Had heavy rain two days ago but even the french marigolds (thanks again Lazlo) are burning up (in pots) in this heat.
