Thomaston, CT

Over 70 already, too hot to work outside today, too hot to walk the dogs......I'm with you Sherrie! This afternoon will be in my A/C artroom.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

How close are you to the ocean, WC?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

8 miles from the Atlantic coast and 6 miles from LI sound..

If I had the ocean it would be a different story!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh, you're closer to the north.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

... yes, where it's quiet & peaceful. - and you don't get flooded! lol!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Jan, let me know if your a/c guy doesn't work out. But of course you'll need to pay hubby travel time.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Thanks, Jen, but he showed up a little bit ago. It's all set and ready. Just peace of mind for me that it's taken care of before I leave. Whew!!!
Thanks for thinking about me, everyone. I am reallllllly excited about this wedding. Maybe moreso because it's more like a reunion!
Up to 73. I picked peas this morning. Hopefully my brother will keep at it while we're gone.

Back from my veggie buying. Picked up some shade annuals too and a canna for the pond. And best of all - apple cider and cinnamon donuts and fresh strawberries!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

hot and humid - only thing good about this is it allowed me to cut and pull up a good hunk of the driveway to square the rock wall - it think you hear foul language that would be me taking down what i already built.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Was wondering what that noise was. Couldn't understand the accent. ^_^

81 and still humid. Wonder if I should plant the veggies I just bought or wait until Thu when it's cooler. The lettuce will fry.

snort

Its hot out there - Still hiding.

I wouldnt plant today Victor. I would wait. But then if you did get real fried lettuce you could patten it.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Well it is nice and sunny with blue skies and lots of hot. Very near to stupid hot already at 86 degrees. Too hot for lugging the last bit of mulch around out front.
Plants seem to be liking the warm and sun though, but I think some rain in a day or two would be very helpful.
Accent? Why would someone living in Massachusetts have an accent? I have never noticed such a thing and I have lived here all my life. After all its not like NY where there are all sorts of accents. ^_^

South Hamilton, MA

We immigrants from states without a Boston type accent notice. Dr. this morning inside this afternoon.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

outside all day and i agree pat - near stupid hot - did not get nearly as much done as i had hoped - although i think i lost 15 pds of water weight at least!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Worse tomorrow. Hiking-yikes!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

yup supposed to be around 95 at lunch and then the front moves in - i have put on the AC tonight - wife is out for a work dinner she will be happy - it was still 90 at 6:30 here.

Thomaston, CT

Only 85 here & now there's a nice breeze. Cinnamon donuts & cider...yum....wish I got my plants someplace like that! And, Bill...I thought I heard an accented cuss word!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

High of upper 60's on Friday! How crazy.

82 now.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

it was not me - to hot to cuss.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It got to 82 in the house with the hole in the wall with our door missing. I was surprised it wasn't hotter in here.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

We hit 95 here today...crazy!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow! 86 was the high here.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

95 here too

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

80 here. Planted the veggies I got, some herbs too. DH watered for me last this afternoon.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

- boy you guys are warm!

63°, Rh 48%, mostly clear

- it's slightly more humid nearer the coast Victor, (cool & damp). Come fall they are in the fog most of the time as the temps change, of course they are also more prone to flooding from storms since they're closer to sea level.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

63 now.. going to 92... chance of strong thunderstorms the next 3 days... have to pray we don't get soaked AGAIN for the Bon Jovi concert tomorrow... the last one my friends and I went to at Giants stadium.... it poured the whole night.. we were wet & freezing.. hope this won't be a repeat

We hit a record temp yesterday and chances again today! Low to mid 90's - I will hide behind the keyboard.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

wish I could today as well

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

60°, wind calm, Rh 54, mostly sunny

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

72 with 72% humidity. Gross. Thinking about not going on the hike.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

will keep the AC on today and hope we get some t-storms tonight

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Will still be hot and humid here tomorrow, with good chance of t-storms as the front comes in. Isolated t-storms possible today.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

75 now, going up to 82-85 today which is 10 degree's cooler than yesterday. I'll take it!!

Not Fair! We aint that far apart!
