2010 Garden Photos - Part 13

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Lovely pics, everyone! I just can't keep up!

Rama, that Betty Boop rose is gorgeous. How is it for disease resistance? Is it a shrub type? I won't do the hybrid teas. Too much work. Your daughter with the puppy looks very sweet. Red Riding Hood penstemon sure is pretty, but I sure don't know why they call it 'red'.

Patti, I love your Hot Topic and Summoned Spirit TBI. Wow! I just read your post about the pruners coming down on your nose and arm. How are you healing up from that? Reminded me of the time I was pruning stuff and pulling vines down. Pulled down a big, dead branch right on top of my head. Got a big bump. I was okay, though. Could have been worse.

Tex, you have some gorgeous roses. I don't do many of them. I love that Sky's The Limit and have been wanting a yellow climber. Is it disease resistant? I only do easy roses. Gorgeous backlit macro of Granada!!!!! Since you say DA roses are impossible to kill and very disease resistant I may have to start collecting them.

Allison, that Superstition TBI is fabulouso! Or whatever it might be.

Karen

Here's an oriental poppy I just love. NOID.

Thanks. That specific honeysuckle?? It's not the native one. It's Lonicera sempervirens Manifich.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

No, not the same one, has yellow flowers...

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

Victor - Can I have a Slice of that Orange? Gorgeous iris. I think that's the first time I've seen an orange iris. I used to hate and never planted anything that got orange flowers. Don't know why? By I've changed my perspective and I'm now adding it to my garden.

Everybody's pics looks great.

Brook - Lifeline is a miniature rose. I just want you to be aware of that in case you didn't know. I got that too this year. Brushwood got other 'striped' regular climbers. In the next few weeks visit their site as often as you can. They have a new nursery in Georgia and the plants they grow there are ready for next season's sale. THEY WILL DISPOSE OF ALL THEIR CURRENT GROWN PLANTS IN PA. So watch out for sale prices. Not that their prices are expensive, but if you can get them cheaper, why not.

Allison - see, I knew partly it was one of those roses with a 'Candy' in it's name. LOL!
