2010 Garden Photos - Part 13

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not sure. If I had to pick one time, it would probably be fall.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I know Michele & I would love to see it in real life

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Doesn't exist in real life. ^_^ I will have you guys over.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Your gardens are very serene looking, Miles...do love the fountain. Jumper, your iris are beauties. Victor, do you remember the name of the white geranium? I need one.

I don't, Robin. Sorry. I'll check for a tag, but I doubt there is one.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

holy cow i can not keep up with this thread!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Nice shots Victor, we all have to organize a bus trip to see Victor's gardens... no, make that 2 buses! (lol!)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee. I'll be out in 15-20 with good behavior. ^_^

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

we already know... you can't be good!!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

More pretties. Nice! I got more pics today to share. Seems like there's something to photograph every day.

Thanks, Marilyn, on the poppy. I don't know what variety it is, but I sure like it. Looks like a crepe paper flower. Very large, too. I love that purple sib of yours.

Thanks, Victor. Love that cotinus 'Grace'. I have an orange iris like yours. Maybe it's the same one. Is it kind of a short one? Mine is short, though the flower is large. I need a Duchess of Edinburgh clem!

Bill, you have a lot going on at your place. Looks nice, though your beds are too sparsely planted for my taste. I like to cram a lot of stuff into my beds. Don't like to see much empty space.

WC, I love that Scentimental rose. So pretty!

Miles, your patio and fountain are wonderful. Your arbor garden is great. Like Tex, I love that natural looking arbor, too. I'm going to get rid of a couple of burning bushes this year. The last ones I have, and I won't be sad to see them go. Something better will take their place. Your Nellie Moser does look very nice. I have one, too, and it's a favorite of mine. Oh, and your Japanese lantern is fantastic!

Hmm, Lucy, I'm not sure about my lavender iris being Persian Berry. Maybe. Mine seems to have more softer, subtler tones and veining in the standards that looks airbrushed.

Jumper, sib 'Here Be Dragons' is going on my wish list!

I just love this iris! I think it might be Navy Chant. I'm not sure if it was blue like this....

Karen

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Or more purple, like this....

ok like that one too!!!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I took both pics with 2 different settings on my camera, one balanced for sunlight and one for shade/overcast light. I think it was more blue, personally, but I will have to check on that tomorrow if I remember.

Thanks, Allison.

They're both the same iris, though one pic if with the light head-on, the other is with the light behind/to the side.

Been having trouble with my internet connection tonight.
