Wow, nice pics Wc and Tex.
I have one echi in bloom so far. Peonies, wisteria, clems, irises and roses going strong presently. Hollyhocks have buds, waiting to see what color they are; These are the volunteers from dropped seeds.

Onewish (Allison? correct me please if that's not your name) - your red and white rose looks like 4th of July. It can be Candy Land too. Is it a climber?
I love the colors on those TB irises especially the 3rd one. It compliments the aliums in the background very well.
I just ordered a bunch from an iris co-op. Getting them this July.

South Hamilton, MA

Superstition is a dark purple, almost black iris. It is behind many of the best black irises.

Woodstock Valley, CT(Zone 5b)

Tex...great pics....I'm a big Austin fan too, your Golden Celebrations are gorgeous...mine (2) are about to bust! I also have a Graham Thomas and Gertrude Jeykle doing well, plus a Dark Lady...have a couple Glamis Castles I moved in leaf...not sure if they will make it...don't like those as much, get blackspot and they don't grow as vigorously, if you have anohter White selection you like (with scent), let me know....

I can't agree more about the shrub roses...so much better than Ts and the floribundas are hit or miss...love climbers too, I have about 8 of those...I'll post pics later...took some good ones yesterday...

Victor...all my climbers and shrubs do pretty well...The Knockouts can be nice (I have two single red, three double red, three pink, one rainbow) but not necisarilly better than the other ones...I do spray neem once in a while and I have to spinosad in the spring or the saw fly larve will eat all my leaves, even on the knockouts...but not too bad....

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

The roses are beautiful.
Its hard to grow them here so I just admire other peoples.
Rosa Rugosa will bloom soon. There are 2 other reds NOID.Pix when they bloom.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Tex yes it is Allison... the rose is Candy Stripe... it's a tea... I do nothing to it... only gets a couple hours of sun.. never really thrived.. but still living

Iris... I have quite a few from a co-op that will be blooming for the first time this year... don't feel shy to tell me a name is wrong when I go out and get the names later... it won't be the first time they were incorrect... the tags were stapled to each one so if they are wrong.. it was from the vendor

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

We inherited the roses we have.DD is good with plants but doesnt have a lot of garden time. As the "mother" here I wont go into her territory so the roses got prunned and manured last fall and are showing much improvement.Lots od buds on the red climber.

Allison Since we mainly grow median irises, I am not an expert on the TBs. But we do see a lot of them on tours & at convention.

Hard to keep up. Roses are looking amazing especially Scentimental, but I love all the striped ones. Boojum just posted a picture in Cubits of one called Life Lines which is a Climbing Rose that I must get next year from Brushwood.

I also have never have pinched my Montauk daisy's but I think I should. Good idea. They are very old and huge, though I did finally divide a couple of them last year.

Not many pictures yesterday as I was snapping all the excavating work going on and trying to get everything we had to move back in the ground as soon as possible. Not moving very well today! Too much digging.

Here is one collage. I will do better today. I should too have more Iris open. Wha, Nice patch of Sibs, Patti

nice iris patti
i have the same problem sherri
victor i did have it staked for three years - took the stake out this spring on most of my jm's - i noticed i was not watching them close enough (or they were growing faster than i realized) and was damaging some branches with the ties too tight.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

... interesting how purple registers as blue with some cameras!
- Nice big irises wha!
- I like the yellow one in the bottom left corner Patti!
- wish I had that many lupines!

You know who this am
- Another one on the same bush, different from the others I've posted, it came out more pink than white.

I like these also, some little wild ones that smell real nice, but they're extremely thorny.
