I just got back from a RU here in AR and boy I am wiped out. Dave's cooking dinner and we're going to go out around 9 for a little while. I would rather sit in the AC but that's ok I suppose, we haven't been out in awhile.

Crissy, the trip was not anything out of the ordinary other than some time with my Mom. We (a house full of women) just kicked back and took things easy for a change. Did take her to some doctor's appointments and shopping one time but all in all just visited. She can't tolerate going very much as it really tires her out now a days.

We are getting some rain but wouldn't you know it--the old thunder bumpers had to come too.

Sounds like good sleeping weather to me!!

LOL if it's in the distance I can sleep through it. Afternoon thunder bumpers, I love them!

The ones we were having the other night would have been hard to sleep through Crissy. They were none stop rumblings--extremely loud and almost could feel the house shake. That is the kine I really hate!! No rain yesterday even with chances at 80%. Hot!!

Okay, Cookie are you making arrangements so we won't have any severe weather while we are there? Just checking. LOL

Well, if I answer that you know what will happen, so I'll just say I'm praying about it!

Auntie Giggles-do you have a basement just in case?? Realistically by the end of June the threat for really severe weather is greatly diminished. Heck by that time we are lucky to get rain every couple weeks. Late May-mid June is our "hot" time for bad weather. We are supposed to get some more weather tonight, but the more severs is supposed to be to the N like in Detroit, so no worries there;)

I am getting excited and can't wait to see everyone. I am also hoping for nice weather since I imagine a lot of time will be spent outside. I am bringing my nail polish collection (which is HUGE) in case anyone wants pretty toes;) I remember last time that was a thing and there is always a little down time;) tee hee hee

Does that mean I should come without my usual "red" toenail polish? LOL

Whatever you want-I have like every color under the rainbow and I like to do toes-I like how cute they are afterwards. I am going back and forth between green and teal for me....hmmmm....

imagine the luxury of a basement. i use the bathtub if i think there really is a tornado. haven't had to use it since i have weather alert. the weather guy calls if there is a tornado near my house. it takes all the guess work away

Well, I can tell you that I'm happy to report that I've only had to go to the basement once, and I only had to stay about half an hour....just a scare.

i lost 65 lbs two years ago and it was fun to finely see my toes again. LOLLL
i remember trying to put on my underwear when i was prego with the twins. yikes that was fun.... not !

Sorry, Sissy. Bertie and a friend came to tour the garden...then I laid 2 yards of mulch by myself and died....

Yesterday was exercise, plasma, and then I got a call from Bonjon and she came last night and stayed with me on her way home. So I was cleaning and I made some gingerbread muffins with lemon sauce...yum. I'll call you today, dear.

We're having lots of water from the sky this morning. So if it clears up later, I'll be digging hostas to send for my swap partner.

Bonjon brought me rocks from Wisconsin. I couldn't believe it when she started unloading them from her truck. Now I can finish some of the waterfall! Oh YAY!

She also shared a couple hostas that she got at Hallson's. So cute! Hanky Panky and Golden Threads and Silver Needles.

gonna be a cool 96 again today. cold front coming tomorrow, a meer 92.
got 2 dr. appt today for the same thing

Betty let's get pedicures while we're out and about! You have to experience that!

We're at 74.6 degrees right now. Headed for a high of 79 today. Tomorrow's forecast is 83 and clear. We're really cloudy today and have had several showers.

I just sent 9 hostas to my hosta swap partner. Hope she's happy!! :O)

Oh I highly recommend the pedicure to both of you--everyone for that matter. Ah, to sit back with your feet in warm bubbling water, have some one message you feet and legs oh my ...take me away Calgon!!

I absolutely LOVE pedicures and I haven't had one yet this year.

I guess I am spoiled!! Kim (my daughter) and I try to have atleast one a month if nothing more than some down time as she is always on her feet with her job. Mom goes for the fun and to "annoy" her. LOL

I have never had a pedicure. I have a thing with people and feet;)LOL Plus all the stuff I hear about getting bacterial infections from unclean foot baths-EWWW;0 I did see on a show once that if you make appts. for pedicures, make it the first one they do in the am since most of them only clean the tubs out at night, so they are clean for the first appt of the day..
