Hey Betty, lol How does one go about painting on a rock?? I mean what kind of paint???

I seal the rock surface Judy ..you can use any sealer, I usually mix a bit of water in it, don't want glass that's for sure..matt or semi-gloss would work, then paint on girl with your acrylics...then coat with finish, I always use Flecto-satin diamond finish, you can also purchase this product in a spray can...

This reminded me of a course I used to teach ions ago where you took a photo, emmersed it in a solution, after it dried put it into water and gently, gently rubbed the backing off the photo..left with the membrane of the photo, then added to a base coated area on the rock, let dry and then gave it a finish..think I still have some laying around done like this..

hey ya'll! Cookie, I'm spending WAY too much cash here in Madison. Having a BLAST. have met in person 4 of the top 5 hybridizers in the the USA today. went on winery tour and cheese factory tour the first full day here. bought plenty edibles+spirits. Bring crackers - party in our room tonight! have already bought 1 miniature dwarf bearded iris at auction and got 2 free louisiana irises as doorprizes. have been warned NOT to go straight over to visit iris growers in Kalamazoo next because Obama is going to be in their town same day as my visit.

I'm having a bad morning. My 400* hair iron wouldn't iron the frizz out of my hair this morning, Dave was up and got me all disoriented and confused, my friend was texting me which is always ok, and now someone is misbehaving...think I'm going to check into a tiny microphone...hhhmmmmmm

just ran over the garden hose with my new lawn mower, and the hose is stuck around all 3 blades, now it sits in the back 40 cuz i can't move it,
called hubby and told him he needed to come home, said he will try to come in the morning. he can't know cuz he's in a pow wow with the state.

Well, since I last posted on here, I've met, eaten with and clowned around with six more hybridizers. Am learning LOTS! had winning bids in the silent auction for 3 new 2010 introduced irises from 3 different iris growers, one each in CA, TX and OR. Tomorrow is last day, awards banquet. I've got to go up to my room and download and check my photos, see who I'll vote for.

Chips would be fine, little fairy girl. You really don't need to bring anything, I'm sure we'll have plenty of food. You might bring something that you could snack on if your tummy says NOW MAMA!! ;o)

I certainly hope you are going to be using your very bet china(et) for the weekend. The wash so nicely in the round container that goes out.
