Sistah's Reunion at Cookies in Ohio #2

Thank you ladies for the much needed prayers. I am not alone here, knowing I have sistahs that have been through this. Your understandings mean so much.
N yes, we've been through this before. With Kel's older brother who God finally brought him home after 17 years of brain cancer, 3 years ago.
Murdock's will to live is strong, and his faith in our Lord, stronger.
But I can't help it worrying over Kel.
When we thought we'll get some relief, watch out.. another blow.
God doesn't give us what we can't handle, right?

it is tougher on the kids if they love the parent. Mom still isn't over losing Nana at age 97 and she died of old age.

Oh goody....Jaye's coming early and staying late, just like i wanted!! Like I said, that invitation is open to any of you!

Today I was at a garden sale and the woman's garden is unbelievable. I asked if she ever gave private tours and she said you mean like to a garden club and I explained the sistah's and she said yes!!!

So I'm thinking that on Saturday we can go to Joan's and tour her garden. Then have lunch at Frisch's (which is right on the corner by her house) and then head to Jungle Jims for a quick tour (yeah, right...it's huge!) Then back to the house for the shower and food at dinner time. Does that work for anyone?

Sounds great, which day is the shower for Stacey? trying to get my travel plans in order...lol

Well it is Saturday, but it is Saturday evening. The bbq chix will be supper for the shower.

Jungle Jims is an International grocery and so much more! There is a gift shop and a garden center and if you've been missing something that you used to have where you lived before and can't find it....JJ's probably has it! It's really an awesome place. Worth the trip just to look at the thousand bottles of hot sauce!

Actually, Joan has a TON of stuff for Fairy gardens and troughs. Plus the garden at her house is just too amazing for words. I don't think she'll be selling the day we go for the tour though, but maybe she'd make an exception?

As long as there are snacks for me to bring with me;) Like slices of that applesauce cake or whatever;) I kinda have to eat pretty often....

Oh I don't think that will be a problem!!!

Gosh I hope not-LOL My mouth is practically water for that applesauce cake!!LOL And why do we have to shower once we are done B4 dinner on Sat-are we stinky peeps??LOL

Cookie, you just need to lead some people to water to have them drink! I saw in plain words "shower" on your Saturday schedule and knew you meant the baby shower. Sounds like a plan and we will be busy, busy, and we'll have fun!

Yes, so far that's all that have confirmed 100%. I'm trying to get Bonjon to come. She just came and spent Saturday night, all day yesterday and last night with me on her way to Wisconsin. She just left a few minutes ago to continue her journey. I even said maybe Marion would pick her up in NC, since she's almost on the way.... (I did say maybe Marion) she is supposed to go to an RU in Virginia that day (Saturday) but I told her she'd have lots more fun with us! She did get to go to the two places that I want to take you guys, and she thinks you'll love it.

I thought maybe more sistahs from Ohio might make it, and maybe they'll come just for the day on Saturday, not sure. I was thinking Julie, Annie, and Donna. Sandy wants to come and meet Kathy...they started Girl Talk many eons ago. She lives in Springfield OH

Oh shoot, forgot to add Bertie's name above. She lives close and probably will just be popping in and out.

I have a request to make of all the sistahs and nieces attending. I would like you to bring me a hostess gift. The gift I would like to receive is a rock from each of you to be placed around my pond and garden. The size doesn't matter, I only wish for a rock large enough and smooth enough on one side to be able to write your name on it, so that I will have a reminder of those who came to visit me and my garden and the wonderful time I know we are going to have. Sooooo........? Think that can happen? ^_^

put my car in the shop over the weekend. it cost 1,700 to fix it

I have plenty of rocks, but need something that won't add weight to the luggage I would like to carry on the plane so I don't have to pay $25.00 for checking one suitcase. I'm going to try to fit my clothes and all in a zip up bag.
