Sistah's Reunion at Cookies in Ohio #2

Okay, my sistahs...time to get serious.

This thread is for all of you who will make it to the 3rd annual Sistah's Reunion.

It's time to let me know how many will be here so I can make food arrangements and sleeping arrangements.

Right now the plan is for the weekend beginning Friday, June 25th and going through Sunday, the 27th, but arriving early and staying late is encouraged.

So please speak up here and tell me if you're coming, If you need a place to sleep, and when you will arrive and depart. If you're flying in, we are about halfway between the Cincinnati Airport and the Dayton Airport.

We will have a WONDERFUL time, I guarantee it!

Yes, there is a Quality Inn within spitting distance.... ;o) I've never been there, so not sure what it's like.

I do have room for a few more here. I have arranged for two air mattresses. One full and one queen. So speak up and you can sleep here and save the money.

That takes care of 6 spots, so I should still have 5 more spaces. I think Judy wants to stay with us, so that would take it down to 4 spots.

I would love to be able to add Crissy, and Taters (LK) to the list of coming...Julie/Jar, you haven't said yet if you're going to be able to come. Sure hope so...

i have had friends who were sick the whole 9 months ! you can get the meds to help it. I love that stuff. ! its a life saver
DOn't worry about being a PITA , we have all been there. I m not good with perfumes either. I hate it actually. Can't do the stank of Whiskey either . But we can do vodka ! no smell in that liquid LOL
always bring a gal size ziplock so we can stock those up for you :)

I don't get the gallon size baggie thing.

The smell of the alcohol itself isn't that bad, it is alcohol on peeps breath and the way they smell they day after that rolls my stomach like a freight train....I know that sounds weird, but I can smell beer in a glass, but if someone talks to me after they have drank that same beer, it sends me runnin or at the very least coverin my mouth and plugging my nose.

Stacey, I was in the hospital 7 of the 9 months deathly ill, well worth it..Greg gave me all the trouble before he was born and is a darling since being born...

I'm staying where ever Betty's staying, and I would LOVE to stay at someone's house, but I have to be careful with air mattresses, if they have the fuzzy velvety stuff on them I am allergic and will break out in hives all over my body, and I learned the hard way that it doesn't matter if the mattress is flipped over with the slick side up or not. I've tried it twice and ended up in big itchy situations.

Stacey I've heard that when you're pregnant you can smell EVERYTHING!! You're not going to be a PITA, don't worry about it.

Tink, no way are you going to be a PITA!!!!! You are ours and most of us have been pregnant and understand what you are going through. Might add most went through it and still got pregnant a second maybe even a third time. LOL The important thing is we love you and want very much to see you.

you can barf in a baggy anytime , anywhere , they fit in any size pocket. I hear you on the breathe thing. I don't like a stank of booze . I was hallaciously smell sensitive when i was prego. I feel your pain.
crissyr can you put a hypo allergetic cover on it ? i do that wiht my kids pillows. Would that help ?

It doesn't do any good, I'm allergic to the velvety fuzzies that rub off of the mattress onto the sheet.

Judy I met Debbie when her and Betty came down to Memphis last summer. She is the nicest sweetest person!!

Judy-I think that's the cake-I had it at Betty's when I visited. And you won't need any extra arms-I am pretty much just the same chubby thing I've always been. I've only gained a few pounds. The main difference is that when I press on my lower belly it feels more firm than it did B4.

Don't worry about the mattress, we can stay down the street, it's not that big of deal. I think I'm going to be PMSing that weekend so it would be for the best, trust me LOL!!!

Sounds like we have a party going on! Wish I lived closer, too, but I' 1 1/2 hrs. away and that is too far to drive every night so Stacey and I will be at the motel.

Joyce, let me know when you have your menus together so I can see what I need to bring. I will be bringing some Texas Bean Dip. One of Stacey's favorites and it makes a good salad or snack.

Here's the info for that Quality Inn, every time me and Dave travel we try to find a Quality Inn, their beds are comfy, rooms are good, and some of them have a free full hot breakfast, which I'm sure is included with the price of the room as a hidden charge but that's ok, we just don't think about that :)

The Quality Inn is cheaper than that if you have an AARP/Senior or AAA card. I saw rooms for $53 using the AAA. Yes, I know my Fairy likes Texas Bean Dip..but I have to sleep with her too!

The funny thing is I have been a tooter with this baby anyway-nut rarely are they stinky-LOL-so bean dip or not, there will be some wind breakin' ;)

FIL's tests results were quite disappointing. Docs said there are new activity where the old cancer cells were.

FIL is in my prayers Jaye as well as you and Kel. You two need to be able to keep up your strength in order to help FIL. I think maybe a bit of mind-clearing is in order. I know mine is still spinning.....

So sorry to hear of Murdock's report Jaye. As Barb can attest to and I am sure you know already, this is one of the worst "roller coaster" rides you will ever have to endure. Prayers for all.

Sorry to hear about Murdock, as said before, it sure is a roller coaster ride, that's the best way I can describe it..emotions run rampid, still after all these years I still feel it's effects..getting away is what you need..so looking forward to meeting you all...and re-visiting with those I've already met..
