JB, why are you cutting a big field of baby trees???
LOL, JB, it must be funny reading our posts from the night before when you have had a good night's sleep and are sane and clear headed in the morning.
Talk about misery, I was reading another thread where everyone was so negative I had to get off of it and mark it as unread so it wouldn't show up on my menu again. Then I read another thread about gardening in strawbales, I have been on it for years, and one of the nicest people had all of her plants die all at once in her strawbales. I can only believe that she got some bales from a farmer that had treated the field with herbicides for weeds. I feel so bad for her. I didn't know her when she first decided to try gardening that way and I sent her a lot of seeds. So, these were her nice healthy plants she grew from those seeds and then when she planted them in the bales, they all died!!
So, there are all kinds of misery out there if you just go looking for it. LOL
Plant propagation part XV based on my own experience
Hey, good afternoon Jen, I am mowing the grass between the rows of trees. When we mow we call it cutting.....I guess because we used to cut hay, grass is same oh what the hell do I know. All I know is it is hotter than blazes and I must get out and get moving. I had to run an errand and I stopped at the road side garden stand down the road to ask a question about yellow leaves, etc. and they had local strawberries for $4.00 a qt. Jersey Fresh. Yup. I of course brought some home for desert tonight.
I know nothing about growing in straw bales. If you have time, please explain to me how it is done. That poor woman. I feel so sorry when people work so hard and love and care for their plants, then something like that happens.
Are you having bad weather up there just now? Be back in a few hours. I must hit the tractor NOW. Love and Hugs.
hmmm hit the tractor... hammer ball bat???? could not resist sorry D
That is no joke.....my friend had this old Dodge truck and we would have to start it with a piece of pipe by knocking it somehow. We would go to McDonalds for breakfast after we fed the animals in this old truck and when we were finished eating we would get out that piece of pipe and I would sit in and give it gas and use the starter and she would beat the heck out of it with the pipe. What a fun time we had.
I hit the tractor with only chunky me sitting on it for over an hour. I now have had a shower and I am waiting to order dinner for us because both my daughter and I are tired of cooking so we are eating take out tonight.
You guys behave yourself tonight. I am out of here. Hug.s JB
sorry could not resist. i have had my share of finiky machines in my days. its always good to treat yourself every now and then. have a great evening
LOL JB, she was hitting the starter. When they are having trouble, they get hung up in one place so you hit them to knock them loose. Yup, been there done that.
JB, what are we taking out tonight? I'm hungry. Will be there in about an hour. + 24. LOL
I hope the woman with the straw bales gets a lot of advice over there, they are so helpful and supportive, from my little experience over there a couple of years ago. Sad to think if someone's pets got a hold of the straw that killed her plants.
Some bales are prone to molds too, and fungus, if they got them cheap, it could have been that as well.
I really think Mr. Dave needs to go lay down with a nice beer or a soda and snacks and oh yes, a remote.
I doubt that it would hurt them, after all they are spraying it on hay that feeds the cattle, horses, bedding for chickens, etc. 2 4-D is used for a lot of things. I remember my folks using it when I was a kid and that was a looooooooong time ago.
Wrong on the molds etc. We try to get that type of straw or hay. It has already started it's decomposition. Also, if they get the fungus which shows up in black mushrooms/toadstools, that shows they are doing good. Yes, I am sure there is more than one fungus.
Yes, she is certainly getting all kinds of advice. Probably more than she needs.
Dave, I have been sent that hail storm from all over the world. Fox news. It looked like if you were an animal or human, you would have been knocked out. Thank God it did not hit your property. Thank you God over Oklahoma. I know how bad hail is to a landscape and that hail was enormous. Keep up the good work and ignore all the ZZZZZZ"experts" they have not......
I was so worried about that hail storm. I checked into night to make sure you were not affected. Great News. My DH has been out if the hospital and back home three times but I was really concerned about Dave in Oklahoma.
We have high wind warning tonight, which are higher than hurricanes in Florida. There is a front moving in with a high of 65 degrees temperature. They said our temperature may not get above 67. My Coleus will not like that so I have to scramble. Can you imagine going from a high of 93 to a high of 67. And we have a high wind warning. DUH. Florida Hurricane. level 2. Welcome to the desert of the South West. Mother Winter... will be getting up tomorrow to look toward the winds and blow as hard as I can against the direction. Enjoy. Good Night.
I think that is the same one we just got finished with. Our temps got down into the 20s, lows. Plants do not like it that cold. I had to bring all of them in. Yes, the wind was blowing good. Lost our power for about 3 hours. That is how long it takes them to get a crew out and find the guilty tree.
Dave ~ So wonderful that Kim is home safe and sound and resting....I hope your weather is calm. Get some rest too, OK?
Sharon ~ Wow! A hailstorm after 90°...I hope all your plants are in. I once had a foliage garden in Santa Monica, and the hail demolished it. (Coleus, Begonias and other tender lovely leaves.) I called it my "Leaf Garden". After that I reconsidered my efforts in that area. So, did you get your plants in?
Dawn ~ How is your weather now? It rained all day here. Again! I am so used to the sunny weather, and will complain about the heat and everyone else getting rain, but not this year. Will my tomatoes get a horrid fungal infection?
Jeanette ~ That happens with us in the winter time...power out for sometimes 3 days, like this past winter as many tree limbs took down power lines. Now all the crews have been on the roads every day I have traveled to town...they are actually doing the trimming this year that probably budget cuts prevented them from doing it before. Once they get the "state of emergency" funds, then they can prevent it for the next season, hopefully.
What should I do to protect the tomatoes, as they are outside and so small? I could put the ones still in pots under the row cover, but won't it just make them more tender and vulnerable? I have not had this problem before as usually we get the extreme heat too soon. Then there are different problems. The lettuce looks nice. It is loving this weather. Peas, too! I never thought to plant the cool season crops so late in spring, but so far I think they will do well. The potatoes seem to like this weather as well, as they were planted late too.
JB ~ Have fun on the tractor. (Watch out for the straw bales...LOL!)
Evelyn we just keep having this miserable 25 mile and hour wind, daily. It has been going on for 2 months it seems. We are supposed to get rain Sun or Monday and next week too. Which sucks for us since we are headed up your way and are trying to figure which will be the safest route, not to get in a Spring blizzard for our Anniversary.
I guess I should be happy that my newest planted Lasagna garden is popping up shrooms right and left.
I am up and at 'em and you all are sleeping soundly.......unless of course the weather is disrupting your snooze. In all my years , in all the places I have lived, this weather seems really unusually nasty this year. I have been in some nasty storms, etc. but this wind and cloudy weather is constant, there is no letup. It is not just a breeze off the ocean, it is a @@@@$#%$#^&*(^%miserable gusting all the time it seems.
Will someone please explain the hay bales to me? How do you plant on them and it would seem to me that they would get really moldy. We always had to watch not to have modly hay because it made the horses collic big time. I can remember when we were selling hay for $2 a bale. Now the price is up big time. The $2 bale was a big bale too.
OMG, what is a lasagna garden. I love lasagna. LOL Have a good day when you all get up. I may be able to talk later if I survive the planting, etc. Oh yes, I must wash the dog too. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooH what a day.
Hi Everyone,
I am off to an incredibly late start. It is almost full blown summer here and I still have seeds to sow. Hubby is busily converting my aviary to a greenhouse and I have been trying to help him a little, but my strength is still limited and my lungs are still whiny.
On a much happier note, I have finished my teaching commitments for the year and now I am free to garden. I just need a list to keep me reminded of what I need to do.
My daylilies are starting to bloom, but so far it has only been the stellas and a single autumn red. I can't wait until all of the others kick in too.
Just wanted to say hi again. I miss you all, but hopefully soon I will be able to keep in touch more often.
Have a wonderful day, Linda
Linda, Honey, Hi, I am glad you are feeling better but take it slow and get well soon. Lungs on many of us are a mess with the mold spors, etc. what a terrible allergy season this was or is. I used my breather a few times because I am a prime candidate for bronchitis and when I feel just a tad like it could be starting I use the little breather. Thank God for that. Otherwise I am fine except for the arthritis in every stinken bone that makes me miserable but with the help of the chiropractor I keep plugging away. I am so stiff today from the past two days the hours on the tractor, my back feels like it belongs tosomeone else. Tomorrow is my day to get fixed. Every Monday Yahoo, I feel so good when it is done.
We just planted some tomatoes, pickles, cukes, squash and I forgot the peppers so I must pick those up tomorrow.
Out to the GH now to work on some little stuff that needs attention. LOL
Thanks JB, it is nice to feel normal. This has been a really difficult 8 months. I have been trying to work in the garden a little,, but like you every bone and joint screams ( bad words) when I do. Unlike you, I tend to give in to the pain. ( i'm a wimp at times.) I hope to be listing some daylilies, plumeria and epicactus soon. Maybe then I will feel normal.
Linda, it is extremely difficult NOT to give into pain. There are times when I wonder where it all comes from. Every joint seems to hurt, then I have days when I feel like a new person. I have been taking a liquid vitamin to help my joints and I swear it is working. I only take it once a day on good days. If I find I am really hurting sometimes I take it twice.
They are the liquid vitamins made by Life Force Intenational and horribly expensive. Then what vitamin is not unless you want the kind that you swallow and they lay in your gut for three days until you have a BM. I learned that the hard way. My doctor told me to test them in vinegar and water. I did and it is amazing how long it takes for them to dissolve, so I switched to gel caps or liquid. That is your lesson for the day , my friend, and I do hope you find something to help you tolerate the pain. Don't kid yourself, a wimp can not put up with what you do and still function. YOU ARE NOT A WIMP. HUGS. JB It gets lonely here during the day, all the roudy bunch is just now getting going when you and I are all worn out. They have a blast here at night when we are asleep. LOL
Rowdy Bunch!! LOL, JB, you are so funny!! To be called a part of a rowdy bunch at my age is a blessing. LOL, still laughing.
So lady, tell me about these liquid vitamins. What are they, and how do they help your joints. And why are your joins hurting? I guess I am worse at giving in to the pain than Linda 'cause I had my first hip replacement before I was 40 years old. and 9 since then. (6 hip, 1 knee, 1 foot, 1 neck) I could not stand the pain any longer.
Chiropractors just shook their heads and took my x-rays to their conventions to be the hit of the show. Radiologists told me I should not be walking. Now I take pain pills. I'll be if I am going to hurt to the end of my life.
Sorry the rest of you, I know this is not a Dr. Phil thread. No more for me. But still interested in JB's magic liquid vitamins.
Jeanette
Janette do you have some terrible arthritic disease, which causes this to happen to you? Wow! I used to work in Physical Therapy and Chiropractic therapy offices for 16 years, so I am familiar with the amount of pain and therapy that goes on in these types of situations. Poor you. OMG! You truly are a walking miracle. Can't believe you can garden.
Have you guys ever checked out the Accessible Gardening Forum, it is very interesting and people are quite creative at figuring out how to do something they love, even when the odds are against it.
Hay and Lasagna gardening are some what similar in make up but Hay Bales are temporary ways to garden, quickly and in a moist environment for a variety of reasons people plant directly into the bales. Lasagna gardens are gardens that you can start anywhere and used where the soil is too much work to plant in that location. You just start decomposing straw, mixed with any composting garden/yard/kitchen scraps, cardboard, old phone books, junk mail etc. Plus some soil mixed in preferably. You water it and if you want it to break down faster, as in hay bales, you add some Ammonium Phosphate and it is ready to plant in within a few months. People do it on top of concrete drive ways.
Yes Dawn, Both Osteo and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I do it by taking pain pills. Besides the bales I started a lasagna garden this year. I haven't planted anything in it yet, but am about to this week I hope. We'll see how that turns out. The thing for me is getting the garden up higher. Thus, the bales. Also, I do have a perennial bed which does not take much work since I laid down newspapers and mulch. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO DO THAT!! 4 years ago and it is still good.
And containers on the decks. That's it!
edited to add: But Dawn, I doubt my medical issues can touch a candle to Dave's.

OK, it sounds like we are a bunch of old coots! After falling down my staircase twice and then tripping in my driveway on the cement, smashing my face in this January, I decided to quit all of my pain meds or I would die. The last fall was the scariest as it was face down on cement and that is scary. I thought I was dead, but no...I guess it was not my time yet. I used to roll at these kinds of falls, but there were things in the way and I protect the shoulders more than my face now...I could not go through any more of those operations...oh, no...
I sleep hardly at all as sleep meds are gone too...just anti-inflammatory patches on shoulders. I first had the right knee replaced, then right after left shoulder arthroscopic the doc says, "You have no rotator cuff, we need to replace it", so I said, "Can you do it now?", "No, we don't have one handy...", Then right shoulder arthro, then left shoulder rotator cuff - the worst ouch, worse than the knee...no operation for back, just the chiro...don't want back operation and the neck is really bad, even hard to work on seedlings for very long...
So after all these operations, I took these meds for quite a while, and some before the operation, ambien...etc...soma...well, it seems as you all are familiar with the drill...while I was working full time and trying to garden - I hardly call it gardening as it took all year for me to get it in order, then I had to start all over again, and some years it got so hot right away, I could not pull the weeds so DH weed-wacked my garden area (whimper..), as we don't use chemicals and he does not weed. I weed everything by hand.
I always wondered why "old folks" always talked about their health, or lack thereof...aches & pains...and now I know why...they hurt so much!
My DH, Steve, says, "Why do you pick a hobby that is so hard for you to do?"....now we all know the answer to that one, right? Well....?? I am just getting back into gardening this year after 5 years of operations and PT. 2005-2010...so lots of weeds, and many things to do.
Oh why did I think I could start so many things from seed??
And then the crazy weather to top it off! All this snow! What gives??
Oh, Jeanette ~ I know you are having so much pain...at least you are able to take your meds still. It does give a bit of relief, but there is no such thing as a pain "killer".
"Doc" said, if it really killed the pain, we would not be here...
Sorry all, to carry on so. I know that all of you all have your aches and pains and it seems as when we are allowed to no longer work, we are not so able any more...
And all of you, it sounds as we are in this "pain-boat" together...
Oh, it just started to hail! HRUMPH!!! GRRR!!!! :-(
You guys win. I won't even try to whine. lol Sorry guys.
OK JB, have a cup of coffee for all of us rowdy bunch. Wonder where Dave went to?
Wow! I never heard of anyone having so many hip replacements!! Do the replacements wear out, or were they done wrong to start with? It sounds horrible!
Well guys, I have no pain except from my falls. I cannot understand why I am still alive. I have fallen backward three times and really slammed my head on concrete. It all began with a morning walk about 3 years ago. I was walking at dawn but the sun was not up yet. I kept turning o see if it was coming up because I get a absolute charge watching the sun rise. Well I turned, no sun yet, turned back and down I went, slamming my face into golf cart path. Broke my glasses, bloodied up my face and thought I had broke my nose. That was the beginning of my balance problem. They found vertigo, got rid of vertigo but I still have the balance/falling problem. Last fall was about 4 weeks ago and again backward, injured my shoulder and again hit my head but shoulder took the brunt. Well I did not realize how many things you do on a daily basis using your shoulder. My pain is now 95% gone. So you all have my prayers that some of your pain will just take a hike. I am currently wearing my sunglasses because my regular glasses are being fixed because they were bent badly in the last fall. I think I actually fell sideways more than backwards. The problem with falling, is you are usually down before you know what is going on. I will be 68 in August. I thought this was suppose to happen when you are in your 90s. I am up early because of high wind and we are suppose to top out in mid 60s today. 25 degrees below normal. As you all said, crazy weather.
He's probably sleeping as we should be doing...uh, guess what? Yeah, it is SNOWING, AGAIN! I can not believe this! Maybe I should just get some asphalt and plastic flowers and eat the unripe tomatoes from the market. Sorry, I am in such a lousy mood....I am usually a positive person, but my limits have been stretched. At least I put some of the unplanted tomatoes under row cover. I don't know how the planted ones will respond to snow, as they are quite small. Not yet robust....maybe it will melt by morning...it really was the hard freeze that I was more concerned about so it might not be so bad, as right now it is only 35° according to the back porch thermometer...the front porch one says 40°. Well when I woke up at 6:30 there was only a dusting. I will check on the tomatoes later and see how they faired.
Wow, Sharon...we are close to the same age...I turned 68 in November. I am sorry to hear of your falls. Yes, I understand about being on the concrete before you know it, and I thought I would have no nose left as well. Although it still has redness since January, I don't look like I did then, or I'd be scaring people...including myself. When my nose went "crunch", I thought it would go to the back of the skull...but I guess it is only cartilage rather than bone.
If you fell backward, how did you hit your nose? Did you have your head turned around that far? Wow! You are so lucky that you did not injure your shoulder too badly, but I bet you still have pain in your neck...
I agree with you on the falls...we are both too young for this...

My God, if you took the good parts out of all of us we may have one whole well person. LOL What a group of pains.............I have lived with Vertigo from Labrenthytis since I was in my 20s. My Inner Ear is affected by the pressure dropping and when it is going to rain /snow, I really have a problem walking like I am sober. I went to all sorts of specialists and the only person that helped me was a chiropractor. He is so good, I am off all the meds I used to take to keep my dizziness under control. He uses a cold lazer at times when it is not my inner ear affecting my balance and then when it is my inner ear he uses what I call the popper. I can see instant results and now I go once a week for maintenance and I take no meds, plus I take nothing for my osteoarthritis because he also works on my back and sciatic nerves. I stiffen up at times, like when I am on the tractor for several hours, but with this weekly visit I am great.
O.K. my magic vitamins. They are made by Life Force International, a West Coast business. They are all natural. I started taking them about six months ago and since them my cholesterol went down 37 points and my BP is much more stable because my anxiety is getting much better. Also, I no longer take any pain meds for the arthritis.
I take three things from them. Body Balance That takes the place of the daily vitamin. It tastes great when it is cold and I drink it in the morning before lunch. Flkexoplus you put in your tea, coffee, water, however you want to take it. That takes the place of all the pills I took for arthritis and bone and muscle pain. The last is TrueBoost,I take that mid afternoon instead of a snack. it has Niacin in it and that is what helped take the cholesterol down. I had been on crestor for ages and it was down to about 228 and three months after I started taking the TruBoost it was down to 190. This past time is was 201 (I pig out on cheese at times) so that is my excuse for this time. www.lifeforce.net if you want to see the Supplement Facts. I still have to take CoEnzyme Q10 because I still take the statin Crestor and that depletes your natural supply of Q10 in the body.. I spend as much on these 3 as I did on all the others put together but that includes shipping. I get a months supply at a time. It works for me and my doctor approved it before I started it,as did my pharmacist. I still drink lots of water.
So much for the medical stuff from me. It is cloudy and rainy and you can imagine how my hear feels since I have not been to the chiropractor for almost a week. Tomorrow is the day. YIPPEE!
Paperwork day and hopefully some rest. Hugs Rowdy ones. Stay loose.
Snow, My God, I would go to bed with a fifth of gin and never get up again. I hate snow, especially the end of May. Oh My, that would put me over the edge.
Someday I will tell you about me falling in the garbage can and tripping over the plant wagon handle and falling face first into the greenhouse.
I am going to be 82 in August 26th. I am older than dirt. Bur not as messy. LOL
avainut you asked about my 6 hip replacements. Well the first 2 were a new procedure called "resurfacing". Where they just sand the top of the femur and glue a steel cap on it. Did both hips, so there are the first 2. He couldn't sand the arthritis out of it so used a slice off of the neck of the femur to cover that, so then of course that was weak and broke. Had to replace the whole thing then, that is number 3. Won't go into how, but I broke the other one 3 times. That makes 6. The last time, the prosthesis is almost to my knee and wired together with donor bone and wrapped with titanium wire. That was 1993.
I had dislocated that hip 9 times. ER every time. So, I try to be so careful that I have become almost useless.
No wonder we don't hear from Dave. He probably doesn't want to be associated with such a bunch. LOL, But Dave we try our darnedest . Really we do.
Nah...it was just a dusting. After sleeping well, though short, I fell better today, especially since the sun is shining and the snow is melting. It will be soggy today, so I will concentrate on taking care of my seedlings today as well as re-organizing, as I tend to get messy, especially in the indoor potting area, since it has been so cold outside lately.
We had snow in the moutains last night, about 4 miles away and our low was 53. I walked the landscape and everything looks fine. I do not think the cold was as bad as the 50mph gusting winds we had last Wednesday.
Jnette, I have a very dear friend that was one of my best clients. She was a Realtor and I was the Mortgage Banker. We did business together from 1976 until we both retired. Myself in 2005 and her in 2008. She is what I call the bionic woman. I do not think she has any original parts left. she has osteoporosis very bad. She at one time was 5'10" and she is now 4'10". She recently fell and damaged the hip that now probably will not be able to be fixed. She is now in a wheelchair and trying to find a doctor who will operate but all are refusing. She is a year older than myself. We both use to run at full speed in everything we did. We just laugh and ask ourselves, "What Happened".
Looks like we might have rain today. Have friends in Oregon that would love to see the rain come our way.
JB my bd is 8/28
my my so much I'll be back later tonight to get caught back up with everyone.
Janet
LOL, Janet and Dave, when we are off of our pain kicks. I think Dave could put us all to shame in that category.
Ok, you guys, we are done, come on in.
Howdy... Miss me???
well with kims run to the hospital evrything fell behind. I had a huge box of hostas come in so they got planted today... finally.
Last wednesday night we had a real bad run of storms. they were talking about 4 different twisters but most played with the cows in the boon docks. We had a graduation party to go to on saturday and we got an eyefull on the way. we went through a part of one of the path's from the bigone that was a few weeks ago. we saw 3 trailers that were turned upside down and in a pile. It looked like someone took a bulldozer to the trailer and piled it all up and then put the frame and weels on top of the pile. It was pretty bad.
Its been either rainy or beautiful at about a 50/50 of the days the last couple of weeks. hmmm how long have I been away?
Well the garden is doing great. evelyn I thought it was suposed to be warmer than I am in zone 8??? I am guessing it a micro climate thing with the mountains and all.
Oh yea thats why I was gone so long... I had to get 2 teeth pulled quickly. abscessed ... I know how to deal with the body pains but the teeth....ouch. Oh and the good news ... the oral surgeon said he would be seeing me a lot because of the meds I have to take.... great another fun fact in the ongoing world of as the stomach turns.
Yes we are the walking wounded group. most people do not understand or believe the proceedures we have had to endure. and the daily pain would cripple a normal person who is wondering what the big deal is. the truth is we cant explain it untill someone has gone through some of it.
Lets see was it evelyn asking what to do for her tomatoes already in the ground? we get lots of the fun upside down days and I have learned that it may be necessary to drag out a light blanket heavy towels drop cloths just about anything to keep the nip off the tender tips of everyone growing
I will say my veggies are doing quite well. the tomatoes are 4' tall, the cukes are blooming as well as the squashes. I did learn that a little lettuce goes a long way. we did a set up at the house well kim did most of it I just helped a little. I went out and cut the readt lettuce and ended up with a gallon bag and a half of lettuce and spinach. I had green leaf, red leaf, romaine and spinach, its just about gone now. with all the waky stuff and activities going on its a wonder we even managed to get a decent meal in.
we are on the 10 day count down to graduation for the oldest niece. tuesday it a trip to visit one of the sattalite schools for one of the major state universities. Its off to dorm life and all the fear of real life as she tries to balance school scheduales, work and the dreaded da da da ,,,boyfriend....
I will get some pics together of the garden as I am amazed at how nice it looks. my day lilies are starting to bloom. I think I have decided to sell off the daylily cross seedlings I am growing. I have so many and I need to get the space cleared for more productive stuff.
I have 7 boxes going out tomorrow so the selling is keeping me guessing as well. Most of its been the hostas. i don't know why but it seems to be the year of the mini or dwarf hostas (little hosta to be politically correct in reference to little people) twisted humor.
whew ... I guess thats about it for now here is a pic of 2 part harmony (I think)
Have a great evening ... huggs to all my rowdy friends
Dave
LOL, watch out Dave. I think JB was giving you a pass on the rowdy bunch, but now that you are back you will be included on her list!! Ain't it great to be considered "rowdy"? I haven't been called that since I was a teenager. Many moons ago.
Maybe now since we have all aired our ills, she will rethink her name for us. LOL, Love her. Can't wait to hear the remake. I hope it isn't reflective of our ailments. That might have been a mistake girls.
Glad to see that you are back on Dave. Hope you are feeling a lot better. At least better than Evelyn and the bunch.
You guys are really making me look forward to growing older. I already think I am falling apart. It is not good when you are 47 and get out of bed and your feet won't bend so I walk like I am 80.
Dawn, what do you mean your feet won't bend? Well, you are well on your way girl. LOL
I go to stand on the floor and my toes, feet and ankles are stuck, locked in the position I was sleeping in. They don't move until I keep walking around. NOOOOOOOOO!
Right, Dave!
I forgot about the "space blanket"...I had better check WM next time I am in town. I put the ones not planted under the row cover and covered one group and not the other. We are not expecting a hard freeze, so probably not necessary anyway.
How is Kim feeling now?
I'm tired of all this weather, so I had better go to bed early tonight. I can never sleep past 6:30AM these days, and I rarely go to sleep before 12.
I hope everyone feels better tomorrow...every day is a new day.
CHEERS! ☺
