It is good

Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Visit with friends...
Morning, lordy I've been busy..this morning had to get all I needed for my class tonight, not so sure it won't be a waste of time doing pencil drawing..hmm..give it a try once or twice..will just purchase pencil colors that I need for this project..yikes they say the entire kit is $185.00 (not going that far) I've every medium you can think of, have better ways of spending my $$$$...
Ok..I've been seriously thinking of quitting and finding something part-time so I can enjoy more days off..old gal here is getting tired...my sister-in-law works for a big resort about same distance away from my house to the resort as it is to Barrie...not sure what I'd apply for, but I could work 2 or 3 days, might mean weekends but who cares, I would have all week off...told her to find what is available and I'm seriously thinking of taking something..change of pace...hmmmm I've been too tired to teach on Wednesday nights but if I was home all week I could teach that class and it probably would make up some of the difference...what do you think?
Debbie, sounds as though your life is in turmoil..seems you are affected with the swelling every time it gets humid??? glad Paul is back into his own routine at work..aren't we all trying to find ways of getting extra $$$ these days?
Liz, so glad to see you posting...just knew you were in a funck..hey girl, soon too this will pass you on..just overwhelming at the time...relax, enjoy..life is too short...easy to say isn't it? What a haul, any patterns you'd like to try your hand at?
Greg wanted to do the stained glass windowframe last night, but lordy my hooks were so massive I could hang my house so didn't get it done, left early this morning and picked up same size...tried to find '0' rings for the bottle holders I want to make but neither Canadian Tire nor Home Depot had them so must try to find a plumbing company...looked at the 5 piece sitting set at Canadian Tire that's on for $299.00 piece of junk really so will have to look for another for the boys..love Mother's Day...
Did talk to mom last night, she's still in bed and they think she has pneumonia, nothing is going right for her..he has an appt. tomorow morning to get meds..
It was still raining this morning before I left, all the animals were getting comfy..just as I went in the bedroom Sailor was eyeing my bed, wanted to join both Missy and Riley..lol
Best I press send before I lose my post..
Looks as though the rain isn't far behind..guess Debbie we're getting same kind of weather...yukky...infact, for Saturday they are calling for heavy rain and perhaps some snow..when will it end? much the same for Sunday...told Bernie that his friend Ted must have jinxed me, ever since he brought all the materials for my garden shed it has rained...
Drats, most of the work scheduled for my boys this weekend is outside, wonder if I can postpone Mother's Day?
Good morning all!
Yay, look at all the reading this morning! Got my cup of coffee, getting the kids ready for school...
LOL, yesterday i thought I was going to be in doors all day...But by about 10:45 out came the sun bursting with shine!
So out I went, first to JoAnns. I am making a dress towel for MIL for mother's day. She really loved them and even requested one.
So I hope he like the materials I've chosen for her too. So that's what I'll be working on today and tomorrow.
...Also continue with yard cleanup for company on Sunday. Guess WHat?? I am so giddy, lol getting tired of waiting on DH &S, I decided to wait no more. So drug the lawnmower out and tried to start it. Rip cord came out without a struggle, but no go...So Jake showed me I had to push a little red button several times, I did, and woohoo she fired right up! So, I cut the front and back all by myself! Oh it looks so pretty again...Laundry is completed and house inside somewhat in order.yipeee, I seem to be on a roll.
I had a nice chat with my Brother and my sister yesterday too, they surprised me with the call in the middle of the day.
Tomorrow is my sister Ginni's birthday so she asked me to call her then, LOL of course I was going to anyway. She is so cute and doing very well...loves her little bitty apartment, works a couple of days and getting a new boom box! I am so proud of her, she is doing wonderful on her own...LOL, while we were away she called the kids a couple of times to make sure they were ok...She adores all her nieces and nephews, she once told me she felt like their granny.
I know this kind of seems like small potatoes to some but, I should tell, she has suffered her entire life being paranoid scitzophranic, (I know i didn't spell that right, never could) Anyway after mumma passed and then Carol, We weren't sure how she was going to do.
She entered herself into the halfway house and worked very hard to prove she could live on her own and now she is!! My brothers and niece visit her all the time. She love having them over. And now she has a land line so We get to chat more and more.
Oh My goodness, Mary and Debbie, sending you both big encouraging smiles and Armwraps!! I don't know what it is about Seniors.
My eldest daughter had quite the struggle in HS, we had no choice but to send her to the off campus. Between the school and us it had been very difficult even get her up! every kid has a different story, mine was heartbreaking and we are finally over that hump, but it took years and years to for all of us to get through. Breenie used to pull some of the same things, just because her sister did it...
With the help of major, and I mean major daily tears and Prayers, we got through...It's not easy, but one thing I've learned along the way.
Kids are afraid! They are so scared of Growing up, going off to college not knowing what they want to do in life and people pulling and pushing with everything they do. Being grown up suddenly stikes and i think they get overwhelmed, so who do they strike in return, Mom and Dad, Stick to your hearts, pray alot and Cry with joy on graduation day, believe me, they know what they are doing, some of it becomes a test, just like they tested you when they were younger...All i can encourage is Talk, talk, talk, or actually I should say Listen and let them talk, you provide questions...We used to take very long car rides, this way nothing to distract open conversations...Oh and one other thing, remind them often you are proud of them so far and tell them how much you love them...LOL yippeee, i get to do it all over again next year!
LOL, getting off soapbox, Hang in there Mom's your doing great.
ROFLOL, right now, i am shivering and shaking, Sabrina has the count down going to get her drivers liscence! Birthday in June and wants to know if we are buying a car like we did for Julia! Hahhaha, I reminded her that Julia had to prove her driving responsibility until she was 18 before she got her first used car!
Debbie, So glad to see you posting! I am glad to hear your DH back to work! I am sure that is a releif for you. Does this mean his eye is healed, I sure hope so. Congrats on the roofing job.
Mary, are you all packed for the weekend? I sure hope you have good weather.
Aww, Betty, you know I would love to work in gardens, but no this job is in an office. Doing basically the same as I did before, only on a different scale. it's perfect for me, I'ld have lots of toys to play with again, while still being able to work with everyone! It's for a Mail room Associate. Bit I don't think it is in the mail room, the company a mailing distribution center! Which is right up my alley...I laughed when the description said must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, LOL I used to toss 60lbs boxes like the were 5. So with this I am praying they call me for an interview. This is one job interview, I am so confident in my abitlties, lol they will love me for sure, I hope! Not to mention I have a Killer list of references...I have even started practicing what I will say in the tell me about yourself question, lol they don't want to hear about my gardening experience, hehe, but I got that covered too! Yep, all I NEED is for them to call for an interview and I am praying it comes, They said it could be up to a month because they are bombarded with resumes, poo.
Crissy, lol I know about taking the pay cut in today job market, I am just glad it isn't for minimum wage.
Geeze, i sure hope the doc will bable to do the procedure and she can rid of the pain. Will keep her in my prayers.
ROFLOL, about all ms Cheerfull comes up with, at least you can have a good laugh at her Stupid remarks!
Oh gosh, got a call from a good friend, lol blabbed for over an hour...So not much got done, got to pick up Breenie, Then work on something for a little bit...
Betty, did you have a busy morning again today?
Waiving Hi to Tubby, Bev and Scotty, hope the day is a good one.
i will be back later.
i will be back later, to see what you all are up, Hopefully enjoy a beautiful spring day.
Yes, even Paul noticed I had no time for crafts..he's running radio ads and I've been bombarded, you see I get to talk to them about their financial difficulties, some just want a kind voice so gab with them I do..good at that...lol
It's almost lunch time, still dieting, put on 2 lbs. lately why? because Suzanne is starting to want to go out to eat again..going to put a stop to this...ok..so I'm going to end it with chicken wings...then out to eat tonight witht he girls....yikes...not good!
Judy, stay positive, now how many will have the qualifications that you have, not many I'm sure..so, prayers will be said for you ..wouldn't that be awesome...Judy you should be a professional encourager (?) you have a way with words, what great support you've given Debbie and Mary..myself, it just didn't enter my mind about them being so frightened..only problem I had with Jeff is his mouthing, his dad soon put an end to that..Greg, can't say I've ever had a problem...lucky, touch wood...
LindaKay, you enjoy your trip...now how will you fill your days with no dad around..ohhh to breaking out, nerves can do that can't they? I'm off for lunch but will come back and tell you about my epiglotus (?) sounds dirty doesn't it?....caused by nerves as well...
Just before I head out, this morning I saw both kitties on my bed, went to get my camera and came quietly to take photo, Sailor was just getting ready to climb on the bed, no wonder I've felt sand lately on the bedspread...pets, got to love them
Betty it's supposed to be a gorgeous weekend here, I'll send you some! I hope you have a glorious Mother's Day if I don't get on again between now and then! Look at those rotten animals! LOL!! That room looks so cozy I could just join the animals, having problems waking up today.
Judy Schizophrenia is no 'small potatoes.' That is a horrible horrible disease and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, and it's definitely not to be taken lightly. Awesome for your sister to be so determined to overcome it! That's great news!! The little red button is the choke, it puts gas on the spark plugs and gives it spark, if the spark plugs are dry they won't ignite when you pull the handle. If you push the button too many times you'll flood it, just like pushing on the gas pedal in a car before you start it.
Betty that's awesome, I have that knack too, I have coordinators call me when there having a rough day to get themselves cheered up! Best part of the job! LOL sand on the bed!
I just got the best news!! My dad, who will be 64 in June, just went to the VA hospital today and got his first ever complete physical! He's an alcoholic, has been for 35 years on Budweiser, and the only thing this man has wrong with him is his blood pressure is 150/85, and he was nervous in there so it's probably not even that high. That's great for me because my mom will be 62 in August and has nothing wrong with her, other than her nerve damage, her blood pressure is 120/80, cholesterol is right on target, and weight is right on target. This is such good news!!!!
Hi Bev, Glad to hear you you both are good! great news on the lift, and getting the a ramp built, will make things so much easier for you.
Crissy, Excellent, excellent news! You breathe a sigh of relief, lol dad and mom too.
...Thank you, your a sweetie, I was referring to my sister's accomplishments, not her illness. I guess i was trying to explain why her endeavors seem to be small but not really, They are huge and I/We are so Proud of her. Thank you for being proud of her too!
Also, woohoo, LOL i should have asked you about the lawnmower first, then i could cheesed up a storm at the guys, o well I did anyway.
Next time I will ask you first, I appreciate your explainig that to me.
I hope your day was as good as your news.
Betty, My you must be busy today, no post from you.
Awe thanks for your support on the job...
my gosh, I have been crazy busy today, but yay getting a lot accomplished.
Hey Liz! Woohoo, glad to see ya posting! ROFLOL, ya know i just love to blab with you too...hehehe, left ya alone yesterday, did ya miss me?
Well, boohoo, I am getting sick! not too cool. Well I guess i better not play gardening in the cold weather anymore.
Going to drink some Lizlemmon water and pray it knocks it out.
Ohoh, got to go...Have a good night.
Hello To All -
Wow - I made 'notes' to reply back on the above...and I can't read my handwriting! LOL!
OH! The first one was "Warn in Grade School"... Liz - I'm not quite sure what you mean so please "warn" me! I have a lexapro sample that a physicians assistant gave me... maybe I should try it?!? ANY WAY Glad to see you posting Liz because I dont' think you have in a while...
Taters - Hope you have a good trip... Can't remember if you are flying or driving but that is a HUGE difference in weather... how long is your Dad going for?
Taters (LK) .....how has your recovery from our "freeze" been?
Betty - I'm sure that you "won't be allowed" to find another job... my guess is that he will find a way to keep you even if it is on a part time basis... do you get paid for the craft classes? or is that just for 'fun'? If for fun... I would think you could get a job like you used to have in recreation.... doing the classes and getting paid for it... ?
Judy - Congrats to your sis for being able to do so much... very proud you are....I did start packing tonight...and according to what I've seen ....we should have perfect weather (please don't let that 'jinx' it) LOL
Judy - THANK you for the kind words.... this has truly been a struggle... DS means well... he has a GOOD heart... he is just NOT choosing the path that I ever would have thought my son would choose. THe GOOD NEWS is that Sunday...we are driving to Disney...just the 2 of us...so I am going to follow your advice.... GREAT advice...and hope to draw him out and just let him TALK.....12 hours Sunday to get there....
I hope you aren't getting sick!
HUGS to all...I'll be back on through tomorrow night. AFter that...don't forget about me...not sure what my online schedule will be!
Mary
Good Morning!!
My goodness, where is everyone??
Mary, I hope you have a safe and wonderful Trip. Hey, don't forget to pack warm, warm clothes too! With this crazy weather you just never know anymore lol. But I do hope it stays nice for you and DS.
Betty, lol I wish I was snuggling on your comfy bed with the furries. ackkk, it's so cold out that I am working inside.
Feeling a bit better, got a goodnights sleep.
So, what are you doing? creating a list of what you want done tomorrow? It's suppose to warm up and be a nice day here, so I sure hope it's the same for you...
LOL, Betty, you know you love your job, who will the clients have to talk to if you leave?? Hmmm, I think you need to slow down a bit, take time to re-engergise.
I have been working on a towel dress fir MIL...I am pleased as punch with the Apron! Heres a pic, that material in the back is going to be the Dress, what do you think?
well, i hope you all having a great day and keeping warm.
Waiving Hello LK, saw you posted somewhere! Now, did you take Squeeky with you?
Hello - I hadn't forgotten anyone.
Hello Tubby & Shirley! take care, you 2
Hi Betty - I've been "crashing/burning", now I'm better.
I'm not sure what's going to happen at home - no one's come to see our place, although we've had 2 "nibbles" the realtor says......
Take care everyone
Tallulah
Hi there...We are taken care...
Tubby / Shirley
I want to let you know our area was hit really hard by some nasty storms the last couple days....trees down everywhere. And guess what? They came across the lake....from Bettys area. So I wonder if she is without power over ther? So unlike her not to post.
Praying all is well. We had high winds today also, our neighbors two houses over lost a huge tree...which just missed their home, a prefab which would have been crushed.
Bev, Scotty.....Tubby & Shirley...waving hello.
Happy Mothers Day tomorrow to all of our Moms....and Grandmoms.
Hurts worse this year without mine...than it did last. I think the numb is wearing off.
Debbie
Debbies
Waving back at you
Tubby.....Shirley
Good to hear, Tubby ^_^
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all my wonderful friends...... Love you all, Barb
Happy Mother's Day to all.....
Sorry, computer was down, Jeff got it up and running last night, seems I must have downloaded something I shouldn't have..lol
Debbie, yes we were hit by the same storm, left work early on Friday, we had extended weekend off, winds were so terrible that you could hardly keep the vehicle on the road..yesterday, torrential rain, high winds and yes although I hate saying it "SNOW" so not sure how the gradens will react to that..
Today is much the same, wouldn't you know all my 'to do' list is outside, bitter cold so not sure how much we'll get done, maybe it will be inside again today and enjoy each others company...
Judy, OMG what an accomplishment you sister is experiencing..that it truly amazing and she (and you) should be so proud...hugs and prayers going out to her..tell her to continue walking tall!!!
Mary, what a gorgeous looking young man..bet you shed a few tears of joy...now for a fun weekend, hope that the weather is better in your neck of the woods...
Bev, as always, your photo's just amaze me...look at the coloring..wish I was there walking in your garden, sitting on your deck and teasing Scotty...how are you both doing?
Debbie, glad to see you post, unusual for you and I to get such weather isn't it..hope you are not doing the cooking today, am hoping you get spoilt by those daughters of yours, perhaps DS is cooking you breakfast as we speak...
Tubby, is the family coming today for Shirley's Mom's Day? and how are you sweetie?
Susan, finally you are taking a few breaths and relaxing...hope it's a sunshine day for you..
Yesterday, the boys went to Greg's shop and worked on that bike he's making, ran into trouble with one part so off to Barrie they go this morning to see if the Barrie Canadian Tire has what's needed and then off to pick up my gazebo set - lounge/2 chairs/coffee table..with the rain yesterday they didn't want to pick it up and get it wet...have to decided what to do with the wicker one..just bought new cusions last year at end of season for it so my thoughts are to put it a the curb and I'm sure someone will pick it up..Greg says he has to check the bike shop, not sure it's open today..bought new shaft with shocks and bike seat for my bike, they took it inside to fix it up and the shaft was just a smidge too big, let's hope they find alternative for me..want to start doing the trails..
While everyone was playing yesterday, I took a quick drive into Midland and picked up some material for 2 project swaps..one swap box was already filled to the brim but something was urging me to do something special..it's done, no can show until after my swap partner receives it..I'm proud and pleased with the outcome...not sure who my partner is yet but know she'll know my heart was in the right place!
Just wanted to check in, time to get dressed and start my day, not sure what it will be, if it's something outside I'll have to go searching for gloves and winter coat..shouldn't have put them away so quickly...
I'll be back on my next break...if the boys think I should have one..lol
Hope you Mothers' Day is spectacular, that it's filled with joy and with family...
happy mothers day all
Good Morning....
Happy Mothers Day.
It is snowing! I am not amused.
Kids are taking me out....somewhere. Secret adventure! LOL
Have a wonderful day
Debbie
Betty we got that pounding rain and wind last night. It was so loud!!! But this morning the sun is shing and Norm just made me breakfast. I'm off today to see my #2 son perform in a play. I don't even know what it is yet but he said tickets will be waiting at the door!!! I'm looking forward to it..
youngest is planning on comeing.........oldest is working today
Tubby
Good Morning
Happy Mothers Day!!
Yikes, Betty, just what you wanted to see, snow!
But I hope it warms up for you a bit...So you can work outside.
Sure did miss you yesterday, Thank you Debbie for letting us know about the storms.
Mary, Your son is quite handsome... You and son have a great trip.
Liz, what you up to today?
Well, I've got to prepare for MIL...It's chilly but nice enough to have BBQ chicken.
Will check in later.
Armwraps to you all.
Was a beautiful day yesterday - spent it inside re-vamping Bob's old computer for me. He got a flash drive for me to transfer all my many gigs of stuff onto, to put on his older, much faster, computer. Still setting up hardware.
It's promising to be a nice day again, today.
I won't get much relief from work until likely September when they hire someone........ MAYBE earlier, I don't know. I haven't had time to do my job description so they can put in a Business Case for an additional person. And I have to create a doc with my hours so I can get a new job description, and maybe a raise?!
hi judy,
well trying to do some clean up and it started raining crazy weather!
were going to granny's later one of her care givers amy oh shes a doll just love her to pieces she has been here for three years from the philippines,
so she doesn't cook much so for the last three weeks i have been showing her typical recipes we are having fun with that she diligently sits and takes notes its so cute her name is Amy, so today i will show her how to make stuffed peppers.
what you up to today
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not doing anything, I need to call my mom, she's vacationing in CA right now so I don't know a good time to call her, plus my cell phone needed to be charged anyway. Dave took me out for a steak dinner last night, and it was so yummy! Today I need to go into town here in a few minutes and pick up my prescription, prolly get some milk and other small miscellaneous items as well. I noticed Dave picked up a package of Jell-O Cheesecake mix so I'll get a graham cracker crust and strawberry filling, or topping, for it mmmmmmmm
Betty glad he could fix your computer for you, I can't stand being without a computer, I feel naked without it LOL
Debbie I am so glad you made it ok in those storms! I watch the weather everywhere and was wondering about you.
Bev I'm so glad things are working out for you and Scotty, that is great news!
Liz I've been doing housework ppptttthhhhh, too cold outside to do anything. We got woke up with thunderstorms last night around 3:30am and they didn't quit til almost 5am, and I'm such a light sleeper any noise seems to wake me up. Blah!
Friday it was 92*, yesterday it was 72*, today it's 54*. I thought we were in spring going into summer?!?! Didn't know there was a spring going into winter!
Susan a raise with a new job title is always awesome! That means Promotion!!!
Judy my dad's a retired mechanic and I used to build engines and other what-not with him, I get the biggest kick out of 'spreading my knowledge.' Whenever you want to 'get those boys' you let me know, we will have some fun! I love getting mechanics who think women don't know anything about cars and small engines. I'll sit in the bay while someone is working on my car and start telling them what part does what with which other part, and I go on and on and on. It's hilarious!
I'm going to go to town and I'll be back later this evening.
Brrrr it's a cold one, need to warm up...come join me in a warmer room....hopefully that's the end of cold weather...chilled to the bone I am...
