...but blushing so becomes you!
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞189
morning ladies,
judy's son just informed me there stranded from that ash cloud,
hoping to get a flight out tomorrow.
Thanks for the notice Liz. Praying the get a flight soon! So many stranded overseas!
Oh No! I was worried about her getting out of there.
AAWWWWW Cookie we didn't mean to make you blush :) :) :) :)
Morning Everyone!!
Susan, I also have my house on the market. Been on since the first of March and no hits yet. People look on-line, a few visit but no offers. Things are really rough out there. My Realtor says no one ever sells at an Open House, but it makes the homeowner feel better. I get a report from her every Monday with how many people have looked on line, called, etc. I also know what is available in my neighborhood as competition and what their prices are. Everything is down by at least 30 %! of what it was two years ago.
I wish us both good luck. I don't want to be stuck with two house payments but I am and I hope not for long. I can't lower my price under what I owe since I can't afford to pay someone to take the house off my hands but am reluctant to rent it. I hate being an absentee landlord. The only other option is short sale or give it back to the bank. Not a pretty picture.
ooooooooooooooh - to have two houses! I would hate the bills for that, and 'sides - we couldn't afford it.......
Rod (realtor) refuses to let my DH & I be "house-poor" or without a house at all........
Good Morning Ladies,
AW what a wonderful weekend I had. Doug came up Saturday afternoon and stayed until this morning. Yesterday we worked out in the yard. He mowed while I weedeated. Got a lot done yard looks really good. Mom stayed in bed and worked on her bowling banquet stuff. Doug fixed us BBQ chicken and topped it white wine sauce. Mom cleaned her plate!!!! the best she had done in days since she got sick. So must have really liked it. Doug was telling her this morning that he is going to bring his heavy duty weed eater up and take care of some real tall weeds. Mine takes forever and I get tired before I even get started good.
One more week of babysitting Taylor and it's suppose to rain so I will get more sewing done. Ok gotta go now the NASCAR races are on.
TTYL
Morning ladies!
Coffee is on and I do hope breakfast of buttered wheat toasts and country sausage will suffice.
Janice, Susan.. I hope your homes get sold soon.
It's a buyer's market here in the States, but the economic downturn cause the number of future homeowners to decrease.
Sad..
Cindy, I am truly happy that Doug is standing by you and making you happy.
You finally found someone who is not afraid of hard work, and willing even to cook.. and he cooks good too!
Still keeping Taylor in our prayers.
Have a wonderful Tuesday ladies!
Morning Jaye, thanks for the breakfast! And what are you doing up so early?
Good Morning Ladies,
Jaye, Taylor is doing much better. My daughter just wants to make sure she is over this before going back to school. Doesn't want her to have a relaspe.
Busy day for me. Beings my mom is sick I have to take care of all the bowling leagues today and then again tonight. So I gotta hop in the shower get some coffee down and wake up!!!
Cindy that is awesome he's there for you, and no other friends or anything in the way! I am so happy for you!!
Quiet over here today, I've been busy and won't be on tomorrow much at all, prepping and doing that conference the rest of the week, so I'm going to enjoy myself at the moment.
Great NASCAR race, Dave recorded the race for me so I could watch it when I got home from work last night. What a wreck and Tony Stewart has definitely changed his attitude over the years, I'm so proud of him!!
Crissy, I somehow couldn't get into Nascar.
Did a few sewing, getting those kitchen towels ready for the fair.
I hope by now, sistah Judy's able to board a plane. Too long at the airport will exhaust all the money they have left.
Time for church's revival.
You ladies have a good evening.
Yea Crissy, wasn't that a great race!!! When I saw Gordon get out of his car I thought he was gunning for Stewart. The finish was pretty good.Glad my JJ got ahead of that punk Busch. LOL, I do NOT like the Busch brothers or Biffle!!!
Taylor is still not over this fever thing. Took her for more blood work yesterday because she ran another fever. If they can't find out what this time, they will send her to U C Davis, if they can't find out what it is they will then send her to San Francisco to the children's hosptial. They still think it is mono but are saying that if you don't get the blood work at a certain time during infection then it is hard to tell.
Sorry to hear she is still sick! Poor thing must be tired of being sick all the time? Praying they find what is wrong soon!
Cookie, I am so disappointed!!! I just knew I was going to see the peacock when I came in June. Burst my bubble dear one!! LOL
That is very nice! What is the red hanging basket, on the right side of the picture?
I'm pretty sure it's verbena. I didn't go over there, but that's what it looks like to me.
Thanks, It is all very pretty!
LOLOL!!!!
Cookie!!!!! I do have P in my garden!!!
Beautiful pictures! What are those pink blooms? There I've said it!!
Look like something tropical.
Now to be wedded under that canopy of living flowers and hoping the roof holds!! Watch out raining dirt.. roots.. and leaves!!
Now if that peackock had been a giant frog....
Thanks Cookie.
Cindy, we're still praying for Taylor. Hope it's just mono and nothing else complicated.
Tonight will be the last night for church revival, and there will be a nice supper served first.
Again, we'll be bringing Chicken Teriyaki sticks and some diet soda.
Taking the easy way out there. I can cook, but don't have time to cook for at least 120!!
Now, if Cookie needs me to help her in June.. I'll be glad to help her chop the garlic.. onions...
Morning Maid M.. LK.. what's on your list to do today?
Mine will be more sewing...
After I recover from the shock of Jaye saying the "p" word, I plan to finish putting my containers together and hopefully I will get to the sewing machine.
I have finally designated an area of the yard to be my "secret garden" of sorts. Can't put up an screen or such so I am using hydrangeas to form a blooming wall. I have this idea in my mind that I hope will come to fruition very soon. I have been looking for a black planter as I have this beautiful burgundy/red plant that I want to plant. For some odd reason I think black would really show it off especially with the addition on some white flowers. I guess since I have had absolutely no luck, that I will be cleaning on of my old containers and spray painting it. Could be worse, I could not find any black paint! LOL Thanks goodness I have plenty in stock to use up on the planter.
Well off to see about getting that done.
(((((((((((((Janice))))))))))))))) sometimes my memory plays tricks with me, and I forgot that you're selling your home too. Good luck to you, m'dear!
Blessings on all who are troubled, and sick or caring for sick ones.
Take care, and be well!

Can't believe she said the P word! Goodness! ^_^
Marion, I think the black planter will be very pretty red plants. Take a pcitue if you get it done please?
I think I will get the sewing machine back out. it has been put away for a few weeks now, and needs to be used! More pants for Dad before he goes to Washington, and blocks to sew.
Thanks LK, I had no clue a black container would be so hard to find.
Marion, I hope the black container won't be in very much sun.. since black absorbs sunlight, the container could get really hot and kill the plant. (Not that I'm talking from experience or anything ROFL!!) Yea, right :)
Definitely show off pics when you have the secret garden set up..or even as you progress..it's fun to watch things take shape.
You are so right Chris!!
I remember now that MIL had thrown away a bunch of black containers for they killed her tropicals....years ago.
Pretty to look at.. but make sure they're well insulated from the heat.
ahhh black containers!!! Now I know why my Brugs didn't do too well last year. All of them are in black containers. I lost all but two of them because of the big freeze. I will transplant those into the ground in my new garden. Learn something new everyday ^_^
Thanks all for the reminder but I have a problem with shade--LOL not sun. Will try to remember to take pictures as I progress with the area. It has been a long time coming mentally so I just hope it isn't as long physically.
I have some young brugs in those nursery black pots, Cindy.
They are doing well, as long as they're in the shade and roots are well watered. Think Maid M's referring to planters.
I've seen black hypertufa planters that are so beautiful.. look so Middle Eastern.. but I got too much sun here!
Jaye, once again you are right about the planters. The black nursery pots are not as thick I think. I use those also but spray them with the texture spray you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. They don't look so utilitarian then.
Ahhh.. another project for Kel!!!
Whoops! Please don't tell him where you got the idea. LOL I still would like to remain friendly with him. :-)
Hehehehe... I can assure you that he'll still think of you as the magnifient Diva!!
AH, I am not sure that is a good thing. LOL
Anyone interested in getting into another "Raise My Baby Swap"?
Here it is. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1089787/
