South Hamilton, MA

63 & sunny sea breeze which is making it feel cooler.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

63°, wind W 4mph, sunny

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Same here, sunny & 63..beautiful!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

GORGEOUS!!!

South Hamilton, MA

Low 60s & very good weeding day. Got a small bucket of shepard's purse out of the garden & it didn't start shooting its seeds until near the end of the session.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

45 now going to 60... and the monsoon has begun

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Partly cloudy today with high of 65, the monsoon will arrive here tomorrow.

Sunny out highs in the 60's. The monsoon gets here later in the day.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Cloudy, 50 degrees with a SW wind. Rain just on the doorstep should start any minute now. Same deal for the next few days.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Overcast. Spitting a bit at the moment, but not enough to call it rain, yet.

Had a relapse and spent most of yesterday sleeping. Not feeling great today either, so I am sort of glad the day is an inside day. Plus I got a bit of Poison Ivy on my hands, not bad as I caught it early. DH just told me that he found that one of the trees we saved is a native Shad, Amelanchier canadensis and it is now blooming. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

48 and wet. I am suffering with PI also, Patti. Driving me nuts.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

48°, wind NNE 0.5mph, rain

I've never gotten PI, I hear it can be very irritating.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Certainly can, if you are sensitive to it. The itch comes and goes, but when it does, you want to rip your skin off.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Jezz, that sounds terrible! (I'm staying away from forests and hanging out near the beach!) lol!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

- Hope both of you feel better soon!
(must be tough sleeping with that...)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks - it can be.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Light rain overnight. Cloudy and damp today 50 high of 58

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

53*F light rain, that was needed and will also help the seed I've planted in the last few days. Accumulation of 1 1/2"s expected pver the next 2-3 days, should be a good slow soaking..
Victor, Have you tried Domeboro? It helps dry mine pretty good. I use it as a solution and mix fresh each day, some make a paste. Whatever works, right? You may have to ask at the pharmacy counter for it. I get PI from the dormant vine. I've taken the shots and oral treatment, it may have lessened the intensity but I still get it. Ric

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No, I have not, Ric. Thanks.

Thomaston, CT

I had to have a cortisone shot & a Zip pack already because of PI on my face...didn't scar, but arm is a mess. Patti & Victor, hope you're both on the mend. Raining lightly but steadily here....the gardens were bone dry....Iris, I also got the shepherd's purse out in time this year....I hope.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh - bummer, Robin. The Tecnu paste helps, but would have been better if I caught it the first day.

Thomaston, CT

I read somewhere that Tecnu acts as a barrier, and so does IvyBlock....will have to get some.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Have not heard of its use as a barrier. I do know about IvyBlock, and have it, but have not used it yet.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

52 and rain today. It had stopped, so DH and I went and got some plants. Of course it started again when we headed home.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Rain just started coming down really hard here.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thunder & lightning here

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

great day here - sorry to hear about the PI!
