Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Nice cool weather on tap for the next few days with some rain to help my transplants, Yipee!

50°, cloudy

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Up early today, still dark out. Temp is 39 degrees with light rain. Not much sunshine the next few days but as WC says the rain is good for growing things.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

47 now going to 64.. rain here too

South Hamilton, MA

43° Just a few raindrops, more expected.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

had some spots of snow on the ground this morning - gone now.

There was none on the ground but some slush slid off the roof.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We've had some light rain. 45 and overcast.

Been dealing with a major computer problem since yesterday morning. After one of those Windows updates ran, the computer was wiped. Been trying to restore for a day. Carbonite restored most files, but not all. Still can't get my bookmarks going, mail contacts, etc. Incredibly maddening.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

yes it is - good luck getting back up to normal running speed.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

ugh... sorry to hear it Victor

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Rain has stopped for now but chance of showers all day. Overcast and cold with the temp at 38 degrees right now. Light wind at least does not make it feel any colder. Thought I would appreciate a bit of a rest but I am already wanting to get out there again today. Was just getting in the grove of digging and planting again, oh well a few days of clouds and rain then back at it next week.

Just saw your post Victor. That really is rotten. Hope you get things back to normal soon.

46°, wind ESE 7mph, cloudy

Victor I just got a 9 update update from windows yesterday morning, a big one that took about 10 min to finish, no problems so far. Good Luck in getting your system back to normal!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks. I did get it back. Between being busy with the fence yesterday, and being both panicked and pissed, I forgot the obvious first thing to do - System Restore. It finally came to me before. Now the question is what did it and how do I prevent it from repeating.

South Hamilton, MA

I wouldn't even know how to 'restore'. & update cycle yesterday but seem to go all right.

Very gloomy outside. temp in the 40s. Since I have permission to weed (wearing my goggles) it is rather discouraging.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

65 and rainy. Calling for 48 as a high tomorrow.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Oh Victor I would have been freaking out. Glad you got everything back.

Snow??????????

Rained real early this morning now the sun is out.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I was freaking. Lots of expletives launched. Cats must have thought I was nuts.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Victor - glad you got your computer mess sorted out....I'm still cleaning up the mess on my Blackberry from the update last week. Even the store guy said he couldn't help, so I now have to call tech support. Not thrilled with any of those updates. Now my Berry has tons of crap on it that I don't want and not much of the way I had it set up. I also have a computer annoyance still hanging on from an auto update. Something called "Tray Apps" couldn't install, and I can't get rid of it except by having to do the ctrl-alt-delete thing with all of those steps every time I boot up now. Very "swear-word worthy"!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, these things are very frustrating, Louise. I'm hoping mu new iPhone will not give me these headaches. So far, I really like it.

Very raw out.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I would have gotten an I-phone if Verizon had had it as an option. I hear that they will be offering one at some point, and by then I'll be able to switch my phone. Does anyone have a Verizon net book? We're looking at what our options are to get rid of our Wild Blue internet satellite in NH. We have to see what our cell signal is at the house when we get back before we can make the call. We had a good signal 2 years ago; then last year we had a very puny signal and supposedly it will be stronger when we return. That's what it all rides on in terms of Mi-Fi or a netbook for the house. Of course with the netbook, you still need a cell phone, but Verizon has a current offer of each cell phone line being $10 when you buy a netbook. So many choices out there!

South Hamilton, MA

temp went dpwn from the morning 43 to afternoon 37. Raining as well. the warm weather stops in central PA & NY. Of course we are west of all the volcanic ash.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

oops - forgot to say that it is 85, not much breeze and we're heading for rain tomorrow and Sunday, the evening of our neighborhood picnic on the River. Hope they don't reschedule it...we'll be outta here before next weekend! The picnic is lots of fun and a good send-off.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Heading for rain/snow showers for the next few days. Raw here......not looking forward to this. :(

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

45° and 'raw' like everybody has been saying, rain predicted for Sat, Sat night, Sun & Sun night, ...perfect! Wonderful free water! ☺

South Hamilton, MA

39° Rained all night.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

46 now going to 55... raining again

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

I am in Boston working in the pottery studio. Figured it would not be a good weekend to work outside Dank. But no windows in the room I am working in, so it doesn't matter. Good day to be a vole.

I had some minor computer trouble the other day, but after a second reboot, it got going again. I was fearful. Hate it when things up and disappear or move or freeze on the computer or in the garden! But with carbonite, I feel a little better about saving major stuff at least on the computer. Now if I just had a magic fix for the garden. Patti

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yeah, I rubbed my eyes twice when I got up. Poor daffs are hanging their heads in despair!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Pretty good rainfall overnight here as well. Drizzle on and off right now with more showers on the way but not the total all rain all day they had forecast for much of the last few days. There may even be a little sun here and there tomorrow. Kind of cold dank day at any rate. Temp is 39 degrees with a light SE wind. No nasty white stuff here thank goodness. Hope you all up north don't have to look out at it for very long. Next week looks pretty nice with seasonable temps and mostly sunny days.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

that will melt fast celeste - still hate to see it - might get some here later today

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Rain here, sunny earlier but clouds are rolling in again, very windy. 57

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)
