Still mostly cloudy here and only 42 degrees at present. Sun is trying to burn off the clouds and should succeed eventually. Light NW wind and an expected high of around 60 later today. A nice stretch of seasonal temps ahead. Just hope we don't get a nip of a late freeze now that everything is growing like crazy. Cooler temps will help the gardener do more work and also help the bulbs' blooms last better.

It was actually a gorgeous day today, only 55 but sunny and great to work outside. Had to go to a birthday party, but didn't want to leave the garden. I moved a few things and weeded tons of maple seedlings with tons still to go.

My Magnolia has flowered about 3-5 days after mother's day for years, this is the first time it has ever flowered in April, one month ahead of time. Thunder & lightning in the distance here from the North, (which would be Conn from here). This is also the first time I have ever seen so much pollen coming from my evergreens.

Got down to 34 degrees over night. Could have a frost tonight. Hope it will not be too severe. Temp already up to 51 under nice sunny skies and light NW wind. Should get to low 60s for a high.
