Actually he is my DIL's sister's baby. Definitely a mouthful and a half.

Thomaston, CT

Well, he'll be the only one in class with that name! I'm astounded at some of the names in school since I retired.....one little girl was Topanga.....Glad your Hayden is reading, also, Pixie, & isn't that Bella a hoot?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

That is SOME name.

My mil heard a lady calling her daughter "Latrina...come here!!!"
Sorry lady but you named your daughter after a toilet

Funny Celeste!

Sophie (5) and I were talking about being married...she threw me a curve and asked if girls can like girls. Of course I answered her and said yes and for now that satisfied her...yikes at 5 what is she going to ask me at 7!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

How bout 3 years old and asked Mom how they took Charlie out of her belly? HMMM.....HOW MOM??
I left the room!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

My little one asked the older brother how God puts the baby in Mommy's belly to begin with!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Not looking foward to those questions

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hee hee he! Out of the mouth of babes. ^_^

Thomaston, CT

Thank God that my son was totally not curious about those things when he was small....the only thing he said at age 2 was "Don't ever bring a baby into this house". Someone must have brought one to his babysitter's & he didn't like it!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

LOL!! I'm lucky now, like Celeste I can say, ask MOM!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We were watching a nature show recently. A mom was nursing. Little one asks if people moms do the same. I said yes. He wanted details. I referred him to his mom!

I needed a laugh and I remembered that this was one of the best places to make it happen. My youngest grandson is the one with the most original material. When he was feeling stubborn and said that he wasn't really my little boy anymore, I said that I would have to get another one for myself. He told me that I was to old to get one of my own!!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

You gotta love 'em. :)

Thomaston, CT

Too smart!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Hey my post disappeared!!!!

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Were you censored for saying "bad words"? At my DD's house, my grandson collects 1.00 from anyone who says a "bad word" in his presence.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

No I think I only said "hee hee" or that's funny...or something to that effect

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

LOL Teri!!

Thomaston, CT

I was waiting in line at Kmart's with my son yesterday, buying dog treats...I told him it wasn't pleasant walking behind the dam because of the muck......this little kid in front of me said, "Miss, you said some bad words". I had to think what I said, & then laughed hysterically. Meanwhile, the little kid's 6'5", 400 pound father with large tattoos, was giving me dirty looks!

My daughter yells at my son, you broke my Ipod(no she doesn't have one!) my son goes "what is an Ipod anyway?"
My daughter replies "something for your eye"

My daughter loves music and singing and she makes up words to songs all the time...
We just bought Open Season 2 and at the end they sing the song "Close To You"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00mUgvhp79E

After it was over she was singing " ooooooooo, close to you, but not close cause I don't really like you!!!!"

Thomaston, CT

Oh, how cute Jen!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

The stalker song!

Several years ago I was visiting a friend who has 4 kids. The oldest were a set of twins, about 5 at the time. They were so excited because they were getting a new pink carpet for their bedroom. I was at the house when the contractor came by to measure. He also brought a sample of the color. The kids were bouncing off the walls over the prospect of a new carpet -until he put the sample down on the floor to show them. In unison they both burst into tears. We were all so perplexed until one of the girls finally wailed, "it doesn't fit!"

Thomaston, CT

Oh, they thought the sample was the size of their carpet....LOL...I'd cry, too.

All 7 of my grandsons were at my son's house for the weekend. The youngest missed his mom and insisted on sleeping with his aunt instead of his cousins. The older boys asked him how he liked sleeping in the big bed. Wasn't it like a cloud. Jamesy said, "no, it was dry and didn't have all the wet stuff in it like a cloud".

heehee

The clasp broke on my daughter's bathing suit, my son says" cheap Chinese crap!!!!"

Do I have them trained or what?

Thomaston, CT

LOL! Saw my gkids when I picked berries today....the oldest asked me what I'd do on a rainy day....told her I'd make puppets....her Mom's going to kill me!

Was on vacation with my 4 year old grandson and his parents. My DH was tired and crabby so I made some impatient remark at him, then went in a store with my grandson while DH sat on a bench outside. I had to eject my GS from the store because he wanted to touch everything. When I was walking him out to the bench where my DH was sitting, Jamesy said "she doesn't like me either, Papa, so I guess we'll sit here together".

Oh, how smart!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

On our birthday card to Henry, our grandson, I had written. Xoxoxoxo for hugs and kisses
As he was reading it (because everything is very literal in his mind) he read it as. Ksahksahksahksah - you know the sound of the letter x and the short vowel sound of an o

It was too cute!
