My daughter calls it "peanuts" too...sooo funny.
Kids say the darndest things
With so many kids today with peanut allergies...
My little guy had a great one the other day. He must have been still thinking about his First Communion. He asked me, in complete seriousness, how is it that Jesus said that whoever ate the bread never die, but then he ate it and died? ^_^ A classic.
victor, people really do need to be clear when speaking to these smart little guys!
A future theologian!
Yes, they do think more literally, don't they?!!
Yes, they do think more literally, don't they?!!
I can remember my own kids saying "But that's not what you said!" (I know but I meant....!)
In the car with the kids yesterday, and my little one says, 'Daddy, today I was REMINISCING with my friends on the bus.' I immediately cracked up and said to him - 'You're only eight years old, what can you POSSIBLY be reminiscing about?!!'
He said 'Pre-school.'
Incredible. I certainly did not know that word in second grade!
cute!
Do you remember anything when they were just a few years old that they told you about from when they were younger? When my son was 2 or 3, he told me things he remembered from his crib.
My son says he remembers nothing in school until 5th grade! And I was his 4th grade math teacher! Debi...that's amazing about your son. What a smart little guy you have, Victor. I took the girls strawberry picking today....Anni asked after EVERY berry she picked if it was good enough for the basket...notice it was after she picked it.
Yes, they did remember a few things, Deb.
Funny, Robin! I don't remember much before about 4th or 5th grade.
My son has an incredible memory, when I was taking out my sons old baby toys out of the attic for my daughter, he started reading one of the baby books in the same sing songy way I used to read it to him when he was a baby.
That's great!
I'm sure he doesn't remember it now but back then I was surprised at the things he would tell me.
We were stopped from turning into our court yesterday because they were paving the intersecting road. The guy said it would take awhile to dry. My 8 year-old said, 'But our home is there!' It was so cute.
cute
adorable
Awe, I know how he feels, there is nothing like the sanctuary of HOME!
Oryanna has been coming up with some doozies lately.....
The other day out of the clear blue while playing with her dolls she says:
"My Daddy works hard, he's a good man." and keeps right on playing. I just had to hug her!
Most of you know I have a handi-capped son, I don't know if you know that he doesn't talk really. Well, his vocab. is limited to mostly names and he really doesn't say much......so when Oryanna yelled to her Mother yesterday that Uncle Justin wasn't talking to her, we about busted a gut!!
Celeste she is a doll!!!
The girls slept over last night and I usually just let them konk out and carry the to bed...well Sophie, still awake at 10:30 said she was like a bat~"tired in the morning and awake at night"
OMGoodness, where did she ever hear such a saying? I love it but must confess, thats the first time i've ever heard it!!!
What a cutie.
That's funny, Ronnie
Pixie, that little girl sounds like she provides lots of entertainment!!
I spent last week babysitting for my grandson. Needless to say, I got an earful of new material. He was only allowed to stay with me for two week days and of course the weekends. The remainder of the week days he is in daycare. One day he came with a song that Josh taught him.
"I see your hiiiiiineeee.
It's bright and shiiiiiineee.
You'd better hiiide it
Before I biiiiite it!!
When I ask him to do something that he is not really fond of, he mutters under his breath "OK Miss Mezbick". When I ask him who she is, he tells me that Ethan is the one who really knows who she is because he quietly calls the teacher that when he is annoyed with her.
I responded with "OK Mr. Mezbick" and it really set him off, but he did stop calling me that.
Too much other stuff to post right nowl

My son has an unfinished 3rd floor in his house that will eventually become the girls' bedrooms, bath & study...the other day HayHay said she's painting her room Cotton Candy pink....Anni said she was painting hers Candy Cotton blue...HayHay said there was no such color, & when I said there was, she asked Anni if she had Mom's permission. Oh, yes, Anni said, Mom said I could paint any color except black....no black bedrooms in this house, said Mom. And at age 3, mimicked her Mom totally.
My daughter was playing with my son's car carrier truck with some cars on it and she's talking to them, then I hear her say
" we're going to New Jersey, yes I know it's a most disgusting place, but...." ROFTL
Hee hee! She'll be mentioning Jimmy Hoffa soon.
Very cute!
I told my daughter we have to go to Lowe's to pick up some mulch and dirt, she replies "hey they're my friends"
I say "hey mine too!" high five.
Yesterday I was outside and didn't see the dog in the backyard, I ask my daughter thru the open window if she let the dog in...she replies "yeah he was stinkin' hot!"
nice jen
That's cute.
Kids are funny!
They just crack me up sometimes
Im just 'snooping' around and found this site. Thought I'd add one of my fav's from my first grandson. Andy (4yo) an his mother lived with me for a while. When they came to live they had a dog named Jack. Jack was not allowed in the house. I came home one day to find a broken dish. I asked my grandson how did the dish get broken. Jack did it, grandma, bad dog! I asked him how Jack got in the house and he replied, "I don't know grandma" I asked him if he was lying to me, and he responded yes. He would blame Jack the dog for anything that may have gone wrong, but when asked if he was lying, he would say yes. He would tell these amazing 'stories' and then when asked would admit he was lying. Never came right out and admitted he did it, had to blame poor old Jack first. Jack was one amazing dog, could open the refrigerator door, the cookie jar, the door to let himself into the house, knocked stuff off tables, and scattered stuff everywhere,he was just an amazing dog! I'm Lying.
My 4 year old GD, Anni, lies about everything with a smile on her face.....blames her brother for everything, but once he is able to defend himself, she'll have to find another scapegoat.....
Politician in the making!
OMG...I hope not!
I was making my son's halloween costume and I told him to take the pants off...I hear him say to himself "naked like a plucked chicken"
oh my!!
