oooooooo, I AM LOVING those begonias!!!
so I am taking cuttings for you??
Um, let me think?????
YEAH!!!!!!
LOL
^_^
Each post gets shorter! ^_^
They always do a great job. So you guys are getting them growing inside. Maybe I should have done that.
Ronnie, I like the one in the back that has the dark edge.
nice to get them early.. if you want to do cuttings Victor...like I don't have enough already
:)
LOL
Those begonias just shone!!!
ok.. question.. what do I do with the bare root hostas from eflower???.. pot them up inside.. plant them out.. or keep them in the bag until it warms up?
no advice????... come on.. I know one of you has to know
I would suggest planting them up, only because I myself have never gotten around to planting bare roots in bags in the past. Lol, it gets way too busy in spring and they always get pushed to the end of the list! So I would pot them up just because I know they would end up dead if I didn't! : )
Thanks Robin : )
My Pickering order arrived! I am so happy! The roots on these plants are huge! I can't beleive it after worrying about the fact they listed them as reduced price due to smaller plants. Man what do their regular sizes look like!? : ) I have them soaking in water until I get back from my afternoon run. Then I have to disenfect some pots to put them in for now. I am going to be cautious as last year I had a bad experience with planting a rose and it later showing signs of mildew which I guess can soread to other roses. I had got it at HD so now I will never buy Roses from them again. PLus I am worried with all the talk of Rose Mosaic virus - I figure I'll play it safe and not put them near my other roses until I've seen them grow well for a while. : )
Hope every one has a wonderful day! : )
and keep them in ya think?
I was going to say pot them and keep them in until the ones outside are showing more.
onewish1, I plan on potting mine up and keeping them inside until early May when I will harden them off and then plant. I got them from him last year and they did great. Patti
Jen the coleus in the back with the dark stripe is Saturn's ring and it's my favorite...I am hoping to try my hand at some cuttings.
Allison I was going to suggest you plant out your hosta...some if mine are starting to show little tips. I don't think at this point there will be any more real hard freezes.
I was going to suggest the same thing...hostas are very hardy...don't believe I've ever killed one, & the dale digs up some of the clumps, & it never kills the whole clump...by the way, you are the begonia queen!
Yes with the weather we've been having your ground must be workable enough to plant them right out! Good idea. I am so used to there still being snow outside lol. : )
i am potting mine up :)
thanks!!!.. good to know everyone is on the same page
LOL....it's going to be in the 70s next week....everything gets to go outside, even the passiflora & lemon tree.
ok here is my damage from the christmas tree shop today.. don't yell at me for the vines.. I am going to try them in containers

Looks good Allison.
I went but it was packed today, may go back on Monday. I don't like crowds or waiting in line.
I am guessing people still have not found the new one in Rockaway yet... it wasn't bad at all .. for a weekend
Can't wait to see the roses in bloom.
me either
:)
Just placed a large order with Classy Groundcovers. I need to cover a slope about 150 feet wide. I didn't want it to be just one type of groundcover because I thought that would look boring. So I got a mix of the following:
1000 vinca minor
3 different colors of creeping phlox - lavender, candy stripe and white (24 plants of each color)
12 blue junipers
24 variegated liriope
Don't know when I'm going to find the time to plant them - but I need to keep the slope from eroding into the street! Fortunately it's an area that they can spread with wild abandon without my worrying that they will end up where I don't want them.
that's a whole lot of planting.. will look beautiful when it's done
Yes. I hope to convince my niece and nephew that they need some summer cash...
Thanks to luvsgrtdanes, I have now discovered Rosy Dawn. Oh my. Another $100 spent :)
I'm done now. Really...I am.
sure.. I said that in Feb too
:)
The groundcovers sound great! I said I wasn't ordering any plants this year! Then I said I was done after my roses. Yesterday I placed a Daylily order! Now I am done. : )
until tomorrow...
groundcover sounds interesting.
I recieved an order from Brushwood just as the nite temps hit 16* they are staying in the livingroom until tomorrow when it will be much warmer.
