Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks Pixie!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Nice bunch of roses. I am sure you will find a good spot them. If all else fails kill some grass. ^_^ I got the only two I ordered this year stuck in recently so I am waiting to see how they do. They are 'Black Cherry' and 'Honey Perfume', both own root roses.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Yes - all of mine are "own root" roses from Heirloom Roses in Oregon. Every rose I have ordered from them has been spectacular - and sooooo healthy. DH trampled on Abraham Darby and snapped it in half - but it recovered and grew again from the roots. Honestly - it must have been on rose steroids!

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Both of my roses I got from Heirloom last year have pulled through winter, great. I was worried about Sheila's perfume, because a nursery told me they stopped carrying them because they didn't prove hardy. That's why it was important to me to get an own-root. Hot Cocoa is a beauty!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Yeah - I had a chance to get Hot Cocoa at an end-of-season sale from Parks Seeds - but as it is for my grandson, I resisted. Instead I bought 6 Showbiz roses and one Tuscan Sun. Only three have survived. And when the roses first came, Parks sent only 1 showbiz - I had to call to get the rest. So three Showbiz survived - the rest are caput. And they developed really bad aphids over the winter. I don't think I will order roses from them again . . .

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

received my clems yesterday - need to get them in the ground today - while opening the bag one was not wrapped tightly and fell out of the newspaper it was wrapped in - should be ok, still moist and still in the plastic bag they were in.
