Today's Weather in Your Garden - 66

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Still a very lively place, not my favorite beach here though, there are plenty of others farther out east which are much less crowded and if you have a beach permit for a 4x4, much larger as well. - Still Jones has the yearly air show and the fishing is good in the Fall, as well as an outdoor amphitheater where they hold concerts by popular performers.

Thomaston, CT

Sunny & 70s today...yay! I'm heading now to the brush dump.

Off comes the sweatshirt !

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

57°, wind SSE 8mph, mostly sunny

KENNESAW, GA(Zone 7b)

It is 76 at 5:30. I put some lettus plants outside that I started under lights in the basement. I am restraining myself. I know lasting warm weather is not here yet but this is fun!Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 60s. Iplan to do some cleanup and turn the compost piles. My Dafodiles are blooming and tulips are leafing.

Hey all. Just back from DC. Had a great time overall, but a few negatives, including the return trip today and losing my cell. Nice to be home. Weather in DC was horrible the first half of the week and great the rest.

Nice here. 62 and clear.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sorry to hear about the rain & cell... but glad you had a nice time anyway... hope you were able to get some good pictures

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks - I did. I'll be downloading them later. Will post when I can.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

cool

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

(Oh Ohh... he's back!) lol!

Hi Victor Welcome Back! ☺!
46° & clear here

- did you have insurance on the cell?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, WC. No insurance, but not new. May provide the opportunity to get an iPhone. Hee hee!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

A blessing in disguise! lol!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I just called to have it killed. Apparently not found since it was not used.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Victor, glad to see you back. Cell phone is a pain to lose as your phone numbers that are stored are lost. DH has an IPhone which is great, but we don't need two of them, so I have a very non trendy, but perfectly fine dell. I would love to get rid of our land lines, but not possible yet. Son lost his old Blackberry while living in New Orleans. It was stolen from him while he was focused on some gals who had jumped up on the bar near him. When he looked down again it was gone. I don't know if that was seconds later or hours! Annoying, but he had it password protected, so they could not use it except to call him via a message on the phone. He didn't get it back. He switched to an IPhone. He has no land line. DH has his IPhone protected too. Good idea.

I lost the only credit card that I ever use in NYC a couple of weeks ago....but it has not been used since I last used it in a taxi. I think I must have put it in the garbage can when I was cleaning out my purse that night. Dumb. I didn't know it was missing for a couple of days as I seldom use it. Prefer cash or checks. We didn't cancel it as that is such a pain. DH checks daily to see if anyone tries to use it. We have the same number on our cards and he pays almost all the household bills automatically with it. So having to change all those accounts would be a giant mess for him.

As for today, perfect day. 54F with a low of 35F. Foggy now. Partly sunny tomorrow and a tad warmer. All good. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Patti. Yes - the nuisance is the worst thing. No SIM card means manually inputting all the names and numbers. Ugh. Sorry to hear about the cc. That's a major pain. Had my wallet stolen once and went through that.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Victor, Can you down load your wife's list to shorten the task? We did that once when mine didn't load for some reason. I ended up with lots of numbers only my DH uses but it was a huge help. I didn't find any strange numbers on his list like Tiger Wood's wife would have found. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Only have a few on my wife's. She is not into technology.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

That is a shame. Lots to download. Plus just trying to remember who was on it is a chore. Patti

How about Butler!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Yay, Butler!! Hope they go all the way! I picked Duke in our family pool, but I'm really pulling for WV, and then I hope Butler wins it all.

Bummer, Victor!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

verizon wireless has the option to back up your numbers to the website.. get a new phone.. and just install the software and in downloads your contacts to the new one... the best feature it automatically checks for new phone numbers added and backs them up by it's self

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Welcome back Victor, sorry about the phone!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Foggy, but should be lifting by mid day which gives me time to do some inside stuff that I must do today, as I am heading off Island for a few days tomorrow. Patti

South Hamilton, MA

Malvern, PA(Zone 6b)

Sunny, warm and 74 degrees. Perfect day. I think I am dreaming seeing a few cosmos and zinnia from last year on the ground sprout and one of what looks like a sunflower seedling where it was last year.

Awe, what a sweet tradition and picture. ^_^

South Hamilton, MA

Whoops, should have indicated degrees. But they daffs are coming along, so could work up to that.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Very cute photo, Marilyn! Glad you had a nice day! I hope everyone else did also. It got up to 83 degrees today. Tomorrow morning while it's cool we'll trash the tomato and bean plants. They're done and we're starting to put away the garden stuff. I think it's almost the same weather in New England as it is here. Time to fly north! LOL

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)
