Crissy, you need to get some! They are GREAT!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Since I've spent more time in the other building I've missed out on a lot here. Think I might have gotten lost going around the block. Any way, that is what every one says, that I do get lost going around the block. I've tried laying a trail of bread crumbs, but even that doesn't help.

The rain that was forecasted didn't happen, not surprised at all. Nice sunny day so I am going out to try and get rid of more weeds. I'll be at this for ever, the more I pull the more pops up. DH said he would do some weed wacking, but now said he didn't say what day. Grrrr

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I know!!! I'm going to go look for her!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

(((((((((((Twyla))))))))))) you blessed, sweet lady. Family can be "interesting" and you have to take care of yourself, as well as your family. You have a big job on your hands, and you deserve the best.

A sweet lady here sent me a fridge magnet that says "Friends are God's apology for Family"....... so true (thank you, Jaye!).

God loves all his children, no matter what, and we try to do the same but we are human after all........

Bless you, Twyla.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That's our Jaye. Isn't she a wonderful Sistah!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

She is, indeed!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you, but don't think I'm all wonderful without the support of wonderful sistahs like you all!!

It's finally SPRING!!!! Tradition here has been to plant after Easter, so no cause to fear of unexpected late frosts.

This year, we'll be focusing on EASIER to care for plants.. more camellias, lilies and irises. Was thinking of adding a couple more fruit trees... got blueberries, apple, loquat, pecan, grapes and persimmons.. wondering if I should get a pear tree.

Not totally giving up on brugs, but will only add the more 'rarer' ones.

Perhaps this will be a good year to just take care of the hardscape.. since doc said to stay off wet grounds!!

Have a beautiful Saturday y'all.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Have a wonderful Easter, my friends and sistahs.

Cindy, thank you for the compliment and I'll be happy to take care of anyone that wants to try for themselves!! ^_^

Busy, busy out in the yard. I transplanted 3 butterfly bushes yesterday, and was waiting for the rain that the weathermen assured me would be here for a good portion of the day....no rain...just a few sprinkles. Guess I'll be watering those plants today.

My peas are finally poking their little heads up and they need a drink, too. They are calling for rain again tomorrow, so I hope that will be the case.

Hope you all do just what you want today. Remember, he died for us.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sorry I wasn't here yesterday.
I'm back... Crissy, you have a good day at work.
Hmm.. breakfast is over, so I might as well fix some ham and cheese sandwiches.

Got real busy again this morning, but did find some time to stop at a craft store where everything sold is from recycled items.
There were even handbags made out of recycled tires!! Beautiful aprons from scrap fabrics and chain mail purses actually made out of soda tops.
The store offer classes.. might just learn tie-dye from them.

Hope you ladies and lurkers have a great day today!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Morning Ladies,

I keep forgetting to share this info with you all. Last week I went to my hearing doc to have my hearing aid cleaned. She asked me if anyone had talked to me about a Cochlear Implant. Of course no one had. She told me that I am a prime canidate for one and should have it done. Come Oct I will be able to have Medicare, so I am going to see about getting this implant done. Medicare pay 100%. I will then be able to understand what is being said on the tv, radio, phone and in lage groups of people. I have always wished that I could hear better, now there is a way that I can. It takes about 1-3 hours for this surgery, then there will be lots of follow up appts. to get adjusted etc. I am so looking forward to this.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Congratulations Cindy. For some reason I thought this was only for children....

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh no, it is for people of all ages. They gave me a DVD to watch. It was of four different people from infant to an elderly lady who had this implant and it was very interesting to see the results.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Miracles of modern medicine!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Yes, and I could have had this done years ago. None of the other doctors in that office even mentioned it to me. This young lady seemed very pleased that she was able to talk to me about it.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Good for you, Cindy! It will be wonderful when you can hear as well as the best of us!!! ^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Amen!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready! Pancakes, and crisp bacon also!

Hope you all had a great nights sleep.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

What, no sewing?

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Been so busy with weeds and such. It is so fun to watch all the things waking up in the garden. The hostas peeking up are one of my favorite things!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Your quilts are so fantastic Barb! They will be your grandkids' heritage, I bet.

Crissy, I know you're proud of your solitary dogwood bloom. I love dogwoods.

Wow Barb, I love your kitchen. I've seen those quilt ladder thingies before, those are cool. I need a small one like that to display all the dish towels, I'm getting from Helene's Towel Swap.

Crissy, I'm jealous I can't get outside to work because I'm taking care of my DGD. Was hoping we saw the end but nope ran another 104 temp yesterday afternoon.
