Cindy, perhaps your dgd need to see another doctor?
Poor kid should be playing by now.

Poor little angel. I'd think of a new doc too if she were mine. How long has this been going on now?
This is week #4. We are waiting for results of blood test. Yes, daughter said if they don't find anything they wiil seek a specialist. My son-in-law was sick a lot when he was Taylor's age. He now has Crohn's Diease & bad allergies.
I was sick a lot because I had a major bladder/kidney issue. They can spot that now with ultra sound and dye tests they didn't have back then.
Well they are doing extensive testing on her blood work to see if it is Mononucleosis. If it is........I will be spending the rest of the school year babysitting her. Everyday between 12:00 and 1:00 she runds a temp of 103 to 104. She gets tired aftera little while of just sitting on the couch coloring, then lays down and falls asleep for an hour or so.
One thing about this babysitting job, I'm getting lots of crafting and sewing done. But it looks like my flower gardens are going to get neglected big time. Weeds are so tall again I can't see my flowers. I would do it over the weekend but I have a b-day party and bowling to attend URRRRHGGGGG!!!!! LOL, oh well I will do what ever it takes to help my daughter and grandkids.
Daughter is taking DGD back to doctor today. I pray they find out for sure what is wrong with her.
My daughter gave me a real scare yesterday. I didn't mention it because I was still shook up. But she had told me that they were testing Taylor for EB virus titer, which is a uncommon child cancer. I had gone to webmd and had looked it up. And when I read what it said my heart just sank. Cristina got on the phone right away to find out and that is when they said no that they were testing extensively for mono.
So my Dear Sistahs, I need lots of prayers for Taylor today. Ok gotta go now.
LOVE YA ALL!!!!!
so sorry to hear this praying for taylor dailey.. prayers for you and her family to..
Hello everyone.. blessings.
Cindy, mono is bad enough, I will be praying for a good Dr's visit today. Hopefully they can give her proper meds, and get it all cleared up!
Prayers for sure....love you!
Prayers for Tyler
Prayers for Tyler that whatever it is, it's NOT life threatening.
God be with you and your family Cindy.
Love you too.
Energy sapped and I was complaining of the cold :( Too hot here now!!
Well they are pretty certain it is just mono. But they are sending her to a infectious diease specialist but not for 10 days, urr!!! By the time Cristina got back home with her she was running a fever again. She is now sleeping. Her fever's are every 24 hrs. antwheres between 12 noon and 1. So it looks as if I will be here Mon - Fri's until this is cleared up. My poor gardens are going to feel neglected, lol. Guess Doug will be lerning to garden real quick like because that is what I am going to be doing on the weekends. And if he wants to see me then he will have to come to my house, lol.
Cindy I am so sorry, Mono is nasty stuff. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
I have a feeling that Doug would be more than happy to come over and help you in the garden.
well mono is not great...but it is far better than some of the possibilities....
LOL, yes Crissy I think he will be. He gets bored sitting around his place. He has been looking for work since Dec but being overqulified for some of the chef jobs around Marysville he is having a hard time getting a job. He did pick up a side job doing some cement work and painting a house.
Cindy I hope today finds your DGD feeling better and on the mend.
I lost y'all! Allergies have me BAAAAD! Trip to the doc yeaterday and a shot and antibiotics have not helped. The shot usually helps by morning. I have a call in for my nurse to come to see me today. I need more than what I have so far. This is the worst yer. I know it's the pollen from the pine trees, it's all over all the cars in the parking lot!
This is the worst pollen in year, Dave had dizziness and vertigo for 4 weeks from all of this pollen. It's crazy.
It's hard to find work for everyone right now, this economy really sucks. Dave's looking but can't find any Expeditor positions, and of course my mom calls every night harping about why he can't find work, guess being retired for 12 years has done it and for some reason she doesn't understand why there are no jobs, even though the economy is down. Drives me nuts!
Hope he finds something he can do!
LOL LK my house is spotless, the gardens are gorgeous, the lawn is mowed, and the cat is spoiled. I wish we could afford to keep him home and jobless LOL!
Well, if he needs something to do, you have my address! LOL!
Pine pollen been washed away.. thank God for the rain last night!!
I know how miserable you are Audrey. Rinse out your sinuses.. ask the doctor for one of those rinse bottles. This does help some.
Crissy, jobs are hard to come by everywhere. The older population are hanging on to their jobs instead of retiring early, as the economy is just too tough right now! We know of college grads doing yard work and working in gas stations!
The young man who helped me in the garden last year, works for a building contractor. For two years now, he's doing anything to supplement his income since the slump in the housing market.
Looks like many have to reinvent themselves just for any job!!
Hey LK.. have the hives went away?
Cindy, sure hope Taylor is not reporting any fevers today.
I'm a not so far past college grad and working as a secretary for $12.00 an hour and I should be making $30.00 an hour. She doesn't think about that, you just have to be working and nothing else is acceptable.
Barb, I had to laugh when I saw your kitchen. I have the same chairs with my dining room set. If you every decide to get rid of them throw them my way. I have never seen anything like them and when I went back to the store they were "out of business".
The garden guys at the complex I live in came around a put brand new black cedar mulch down. the dog is still on a chain and we are working on training for the electric fence, so she tracks in all the mulch and drops it all over the light beige carpet the covers most of my house. I feel like I am vacuuming daily, and I am! Thanks goodness the sun room is her room and it is solid surface.
they did a great job of landscaping the place but it is mostly bushes and trees. I am keeping an eye on the sun/shade areas and will plant some perennials this summer and bulbs this fall. I miss my blooming things.
Crissy, you know how hard Dave tries. That's all that matters. Just shirk off what your mother thinks.
Janice, so you've finally settled in? Have you made new friends at the complex? Any with the same interests as you?
Will you be going to Cookie's.. questions, questions.. just anxious to see you again!!

Go here, and look at Chris's GD Kailey, she is growing so fast, and so adorable! Scroll towards the bottom.
LOL.. LK.. I love you, Lady!
Everyone, she got on to me and said show some pics on SI! So I find the last thread I can and 3 threads later... she's beat me to it LOL..
Kailey makes my world complete.. she was the bright spot in a very bad year, as some of you know (most of you actually) I want to bring over what my DD has to say on Facebook about Kailey's name..
"My name is Kailey Lola Bell. When my mommy was pregnant with me, Daddy lost his Great Grandma Lola and mommy lost her Daddy Campbell, thats how mommy and daddy came up with my middle name. They say I am the last piece to the perfect family puzzle."
That made me cry the first time I read that.. :) DD loved her stepdad..he was more of a dad to her in the short time we had together than her real dad had ever been. Such a shame, but it's a truth she's learned to deal with.
So, here's another pic for everyone :) Not that I like showing her off or anything LOL
edited to add: ( and FYI: Russell's Great Grandma passed away just 3 days before my Glen did..he passed away on the day of her funeral.)

Janice, why don't you plan on driving down for the Ohio River Valley Gardening group's RU on June 12th? We'll fix you up with some perennials!
Kailey is adorable!
Good morning!!
Oh my.. how adorable Kailey is!! Elle est tres belle!!!!
What joy God blesses you and your DD with. And she is indeed the PERFECT last piece in tribute to the man, your DD considered 'father'.
Thanks Chris. I hope you'll continue sharing with us more pictures of her. We here are never tired of babies gracing these threads.. right Thunder?
My furbaby is Lola Belle btw.
Hello Ladies,
I am home. I went down to Doug's Thursday night so that he could take me to Chico to my lawyer's to sign papers. We had a nice windy ride, yikes. I hate it when the wind comes at you sideways. Then came home this morning as I am taking mom to b-day party. Taylor is now having side affects from the mono. Her ankels are hurting her and the doctore said to watch them and if they start swelling and turning red then they need to get meds so the she doesn't get a bone infection. They are also watching to make sure she doesn't get rheumatic fever. She will be out of school for one more week.
We having winter like storms comimg in tomorrow and Monday. Then will be in the hight 60's the rest of the week.
Hope ya all have a good weekend.
Cindy, why the lawyer? Everything OK?
I sure hope the meds work fast on her, and make her feel better. She must feel pretty bad! What about her school, she is missing a lot of classes.
Since we are all in our own condos here it is harder to meet people. There are 4 of us that are moving in from March thru May so I think we will all get together when everyone has made the move. The two families I have meet are very nice. One is my next door neighbor and the other happens to be the parents of my DIL's best friend.
I am coming to the RU at Joyce's house in June with Stacey. She should know the sex of the baby by then. I am going to make a trip back to Lansing in late April or May and pick up some of the perennials from my garden. Stacey also says I can "shop" in her garden for some things; most them I gave her anyway.
I did take a run around down my street )dead end) today and several of the houses have lots of bulbs blooming. They look so good and mine will look like that next year!
LK, as for the lawyer, I had to file bankrupty last year. My husband hid a lot of things from me. He (with the help from his mom) got some credit cards. The statements were being sent to her house, but then after my hubby was killed she told them to send me the bills. Me not knowing anything about these cc's got stuck with the bills and they were going to take me to court and make me pay $11,000. Really sucks messed up my credit big time!!!
As for Taylor, they are getting her school work for her, this will be week 2 that she has missed. They also found out that another kid (plus his older brother) in her class is the one that spread the germs. So we don't know how many kids were infected.
Oh my goodness, sorry to hear he did that. Were they in his name, or yours? Hope you get it fixed soon!
Glad to hear they are getting her school work for her. That way she won't get behind.
Sounds like a lot of kids are/will be sick!
Have a good night!
LK
Oh Janice, that's good to know you're happy in your new surroundings!
Mono is very contagious, Cindy. I do hope the kids affected are quarantined like poor Taylor is.
So sorry to read your credit's affected. Hopefully, you'll be able to rebuild.
Church tomorrow.. so goodnight everyone.
Oh Jaye, thank you so much...and a big hug and thanks for my birthday card that arrived yesterday. You are such a loving and generous friend and sistah...can't wait to hug you and Kel in person in a couple months!
