Beautiful, WC! Looks like I'm the only one without RI's!! Have to remedy that.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Thanks, looking forward to seeing yours next spring!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Me too. Happy official spring to all!

Thomaston, CT

Happy Spring back at you! Found a few more crocus today, & I planted some violas that jumped into my cart at the market.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice! What a great stretch of weather!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Happy Spring Everyone, too, I was so happy to get home to see the reticulated iris and crocus. Not disappointed. Here are some from today, though I was so busy working in the beds that I didn't do a very good job shooting them. Sorry. Lots more to come. Though I may not be able to move tomorrow, I hope to take some wide shots. Patti

Happy Spring, everyone!

Nice pics! So many pretties.

Victor, you're not the only one without RI's. I have none myself. I would love some.

Patti, I may not be able to move tomorrow, either, by the time the day is done. LOL!

Nutsfordaylily, better order some reticulated ones for next year. They are so pretty. I am suppose to write an article about them this week, so maybe it is a good thing that I can't move. I might just sit down and actually write it. I doubt my body wants to do much yard work tomorrow, unless it is very nice, which is doubtful. My hands are swollen from pruning, but I can still type. Good thing as I don't think I could hold a pen. DH did more pruning then me as he attacked the big bed of Rosa Rugosa. He took a pretty big beating with all the thorns, despite his leather gloves. But happy to have the pain cause it means it is finally Spring! Patti

Yay for spring, for sure! I will have to get some of those RI's for next year. I just placed an order with Annie's Annuals and Perennials. Got a catalog from them today, and some of the things in there were so tempting. I had extra money this week burning a hole in my pocket, and I just couldn't resist. I picked a ship date of March 30th. Looking forward to getting some new stuff.

Wowzers Allison.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

you have to smell it when they are all open!!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I'll bet. I have some species Regals that make the bedroom smell great for about 2 weeks.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I did cut some of the shorter ones around the base... and gave them to a friend in the hospital... she asked if I had more when she came home

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Lilies are odd when it comes to people. They either love them or hate them due to the smell.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I can't get enough!!!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

In a room they might be overpowering.

love the colors

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I think this is a species Regal. I ordered Lady Alice from B&Beckys and this is waht came up. I noticed they have this in their new catalogue so thats what I named it.

sounds good to me

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Love that lily, Allison! Yes, that smell can be overpowering in a room, but in a garden it's great. When it comes to scented lotions and colognes, I prefer ones that smell fruity rather than flowery. For some reason the flowery ones are overpowering for me.

Oh, here's a pic for today. It's campanula 'Cherry Bells'.

nice patti! never thought i would like something with the name beatrix!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

My suggestion was to keep the thread going until we all have a decent steady bloom established.

Very pretty, Karen. I like the pink ones.

Nice lilies, ladies.

Yes me too, I just planted 8 orientals today, really have to get some more, I'm working up to it little by little to see where they look best in my yard...

Today's crocus

is that closer to orange or just the photo?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

It's neither decidedly Yellow nor Orange, it's closer to the color of Gold. The shade of color would change slightly depending on the light the pic was taken in; (am, pm, flash, incandescent, etc) in conjunction with the white balance your camera is set for.
