We're back up ! (?) - system issues here, please

I still have the problem this morning of having the "skip to new" take me to the blank box, not to the last message. I know this isn't going to be helpful, but this doesn't happen with every thread. Still, I've had to scroll back up several threads.

Hmmm. Can you try clearing your browser's history and see if that helps?

Is anyone else experiencing this problem, and if so, what browser are you running?

My "Skip to New" is going straight to the newest post. I had that issue a few
days ago but it cleared up. I'm using Firefox 3.6.

How and where can I go to to clear my Browser (Firefox) History--please???
I did a Disc Cleanup 2 days ago. would that have done it?

In your browser's toolbar, look for a link called "Tools" - click on it, then select "Clear Recent History"

I'm a seller on the Marketplace. I used to get an e-mail as soon as someone ordered something. Since about 10 days I don't get an e-mail anymore in this case.

Terry, I wonder if I could ask for a favor? The list of names for the daily Birthdays has been showing up a lot later in the day, and those of us who do the birthday greetings find it a little difficult to get them done before we leave the house for the day.
Could we please have it come up earlier if possible?

I just checked my blog, corrected a misspelling I noticed and the page comes up with " Back to Viewing your Garden Blog: 2008" link, when I clicked it, I get this:

Tried it twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
Is it the same for you? Not sure since it's from My Tools that you would get the same.

Not that I recall, unless I was checking a member's reviews but I don't remember visiting that one. I am not interested in hydroponics.

Hmmm, okay. That's really odd then. Let us know if you see any other incidents like that, and try to remember to include what you were viewing on the site just before you had the "twilight zone" experience ;o)

Just cleared my recent history going back 4 hrs, did another edit, same hydroponics link. Yep, wonky!

Okay, I just added a note to my blog, clicked on teh link and it took me to the home page. We'll put in a bug report that the link back is NOT doing what it's supposed to. (Whatever it IS doing is a little random...)

Since I commented earlier about speed issues, I just wanted to let you know that, while I've not been online a lot the past few days, when I've accessed DG, it has been working quite fast. No problems noted.

mine was sluggish for a few days [painfully slow - like Dial-up days] ... but then did the re-Fresh and cleared my cache ... and all has been speedy since.

It's Saturday. Anybody home?? It's slower than slow this morning. At one point, I got the dreaded 'timed out' message. The "skip to new" function either doesn't 'skip' at all or lands willy-nilly anyplace at all. It didn't work at all on this thread. Then when I used the scroller on my mouse, it jumped back and forth all by itself. Clicking on threads is equally iffy; sometimes it does and sometimes it just sits there.

It was slow for a few minutes for me, too - but it seems to be running okay right now. I'll be around off-and-on this morning. If it continues or worsens I'll sound an alarm ;o)

Saturday and some "trouble in Paradise" here too. Very slow loading and
difficulty in moving between threads.

I thought the same thing when I got on around noon apparently missing all of the slow time. By that time things were sailing quite smoothly here.

I didn't see a solution or answer to Josephine's question earlier. Maybe it was missed?

Sorry - I typed a reply but must have moved away before I hit "send" - I will check with the tech guys and see if we can change the timing of when the birthday list refreshes. Have you noticed when - approximately - that takes place?

Still painfully slow on some Forums and just noticed that the Thumbnail doesn't always appear but if you go into the thread then out again it is there.

I'm have slow loading times.

Everything is running fine for me.

Not sure, but I think it is around 9 or 10 central time.

Almost 8pm here in Central time. Running fine for me.

It's very slow here. Took the banner forever to load. Earlier today I noticed that the forum names were underlined links. Everytime I try to look at a new thread it takes forever to load up.

Just now tried to view some photos in the Bird Watching Forum and it would load about 1/4 of the image and then stop. Did this on 3 separate photos. In the What Camera are you using Thread.
