LK they are going to be so nice. I love all the different fabrics they sent out. I had two - one was fairies and the other was dalmations. Just need to get the bindings on....
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Visit with friends...
Tubby!! So glad you got all that sleep, that's awesome!!
LOL Betty I do get myself into jams, it's hilarious!
I have a question, I bought some seeds and on the broccoli packet the planting season is to plant Feb & March, and July & August. It says to start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost. I'm assuming that means 6 to 8 weeks before February? It's difficult to guess when the last frost is going to be, so I told him that a good time to start seeds indoors is the middle to end of January. Is that right?
Hey now-I was gonna come and make the announcement myself!!LOL Oct. 21, 3 days after my Bday is what they told me as a tentative date yesterday until they get my blood work back to find out for sure...
Stacey, news travels fast around here....^_^
apparently so-LOL
Stacey, you just know how much we love you and how exciting for you both...no problems I hope? Bet you are walking on cloud nine..can't even imagine the baby's room..between Janice sewing/quilting and you painting am sure it will suit a king/queen...heart is just racing with excitement here....
Now I'll have to think up something to send...hmmm
everyone is in a tizzy on what to make and such-I think everyone else is more excited at the prospect of a new project that I am-LOL. Except for being sick every night, it doesn't really feel real yet, ya know??
Then I have to find something the others girls don't do...if not sewing,if not painting ??? hmmm what's left...could be painted floormat with your theme or hmmm I'll have to figure that one out..can you think of anything?
Think it was Jaye's grandchild I offered to do a portrait of when she got to be a few months old but never got the photo...have to remind her..
LindaKay, those blankets are adorable..and they send you everything including batting? what group are they for? homeless?
you guys are so kind hearted..
I don't have any clue yet Betty. Right now DH is freaking out about the costs of furniture!!LOL I don't even have any clue as to what all we will need or want...I M totally clueless. What have you done for baby stuff so far?? Maybe that will give me some ideas. I do have to say that I will be making my first quilt for the little one. I think it is a perfect way to make my first one.
Of course I know who Stacey is, I just didn't know she was expecting! Congrats! No wonder you've been feeling poorly!
I'm feeling poorly, too, but not for the same reason! I stayed in bed most of the day yesterday and slept. I don't know yet if I'm feeling any better or not.
I have another Downy kit on the way, and I'm waiting for my walking foot to get here to finish this one. I've got to get better, soon!!!
Betty, the two quilt tops are my fabric I had here. Some will be going to the downy project, for kids in the hospital! Then I am sending some to Thunder, because she donates quilts to the sherriff department, for kids in accidents and such!
Audrey, so sorry your not feeling well. Get lots of rest, and hope your feeling better soon! I hope you get your walking foot soon!

Hello!
Thank you all so VERY much for your thoughts and prayers today. We sure needed them.
Pauls surgery took a bit longer than expected, but it looks like the injury is repaired....and now we wait and heal.
He has a "gas bubble" in the back of his eye, and has to lay face down for 15 minutes each hour.....and at night sleep that way. He can't lay on his back at all.....and no reclining in a chair also.
He has four different eye drops.....2 used 4 X a day...and 1 is 2 X and 1 is once. And those things sting! I feel so bad for him.
I promise...I didn't pop him in the head (YET) to detatch the retina! The weekend isn't over yet! His eye is so sore...and so swollen....and he is really uncomfortable. I do feel bad for him.
I will try and keep you updated....
Hugs to you all, your wonderful!
Debbie
Hugs To All.....
Popping in for a bit.....
Stacey! Congratulations! How wonderful !
Tomorrow should be high 60's sunny.....I have a LOT of errands planned so hopefully I won't be tempted to plant.... (Silly ...you'd think I was being tempted to smoke or something wrong!)
Dear MIL wants to go for lunch....
Hugs,
Mary
Good morning!!
Betty, So nice to see you had such a beautiful BirthDays!! It's fun to celebrate each day a little different isn't it?
...laughing at the cute jokes!
Audrey, Hope you are feeling better!
Oh Geesh, wanted to say Barb and Trisha, your crocheting projects are beautiful! Love the way your afgahn came out.
Liz and you too, forgot to post at how pretty your squares are...Have you made some more progress?
OH MY GOSH!! Thank you again for the Lemons!! Quite the wow reaction to this batch, lol should have taken a pic...
But, well I did pull the lemons I wanted to use for my pie. I did make it and it did turn out yummy! LOL, don't think I whipped the mirangue enough but the pie went pretty quick...guess it's all in the practice.
...so how is the de-cluttering coming along?
Jumping up and down here!! Woohooo, Congratulations Stacey!! How exciting your expecting.
Debbie, yikes so glad the surgery went well. Pretty wicked on the torn retina. Will be praying your DH heals quick.
A little hint of advice, make sure he keeps the drops well after he heals, once that is torn, my goodness easy to have issues later too...
The tiniest particle can be a big upset...
Oh Mary, how happy you must be to play in the gardens!! I am excited for you.
Crissy, speaking of which, meant to say, your Veggie garden Dave is building is going to be wonderful!! So I hope you both will enjoy working it...
Linda Kaye, Your quilts came out beautiful!! Nice job for sure.
Tubby, oh how glad I am to see you are getting in some Good sleep!! Waiving hello and sending hugs and prayers this continues.
Well, I have been busy doing a little research! This year is our 25th Wedding anniversary. So we have been reading up what we would like to see in Italy!! OH my so much to see and soo little time, only 1 week. All that I have read is way overwhelming, lol but it is fun to plan and discuss...Then after the week we will board the Cruise ship! Will be island hopping Greece! Will be in Croatia for 8 hours then visit the islands in Greece...Can't tell you how excited we are. So, now I am starting to gather items for packing. We have a pretty good list started...Less then a month now and that will go pretty quick. The best part is we will be on the Cruise for our actual anniversary!
So, i am trying to finish up projects started and won't be able to start anything new till we gt back...I have to finish the downey quilts, had to go and buy some batting. Which I finally did yesterday, wow it was fantastic to get in my car, no heat crank my music and drive and sing...been ages, nothing like a kiss from the sun to cheer a person up!
Sent Steve to the house!! He has been so antsy to get there too. lol He misses the Wisconsin, misses the house, misses his boat, misses the work!! LOL, packed him and said go, go have fun...Driving us all bonkers!
Most of the "work" he needed to do here he has done, including clearing his dresser!
Woohoo, sun is shining Bright again today. Think i will take a nice long walk.
Well, first have to get my kitchen clean...
Look at these delicious Fresh Lizlemons!!
And wanted to gie some yo'yo's a try!
Well, those templates cost a lot of money.
Was chatting with jaye about them and she explained how to make them with out templates.
Super easy, and fun to do with scraps...I now have three, oh boy three...lol I am so all over the spectrum
but sure having fun...
Betty, did you start your lap quilt yet? I bet you will come up with something stunning.
Waiving hello to all...Hope you have a glorious day!
Oh Judy, I love that! very nice! I need to learn to sew....I have two machines and can sew pillows.....I made my kids blankets when they were little....and both still have them. But, they were "cheater" blankets. Used a twin size sheet, and we picked out fleece fabric....cut and sewed them together.....and that was the extent of my "Martha Stewart" creativeness. LOL
I have a horrendous headache....new it was coming. I usually get one after dealing with major chaos....make it through the crisis...then crack. Been going non stop since December....or longer with Shannon....and I think I am starting to frazzle. Going to take a day and just watch movies....while caring for DH.
Already threatened him to pop him in the other eye this morning.....however I am happy his sense of humor is returning.
Stacy, I am SO Happy for you! Congratulations!
Debbie
((((((Tubby!!!))))) I hadn't seen you in "ever-so-long" that I didn't know you were back home! How are you, and Shirley??
gosh it's good to see you online again ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

Welcome to sunshine country..omg what a gorgeous day out there..it's only 3:30 and guess who needs an afternoon nap? Yes, I could do with a few hours of shut-eye...
Tomorrow they are calling for in the 50's..can you believe it? Better not be jumping up and down, winter IS NOT over yet..Mother Nature just teasing us of what's to come..
Debbie, am sure you deserve to put your feet us and enjoy a day of movie watching..Paul can't argue with that, he might even go for watching girl flicks as his thank you...most men don't listen to the Dr. - an hour out of his office and they want to be doing their thing, but eyesight, can't fool around with that..you must have been frantic waiting for the Dr. to come out and say all was ok?
Stacey, I'm just soo thrilled, am sure DH will get over the $$$ issue as soon as he sees the little one, yes they cost money but what a heaven sent gift they are (did I say that?)...sure I did...just think you'll have Janice nearby as well...she's as close to you as any mother can be....how close will she be living?
Mary, bet you are enjoying your gardens today?
Judy those lemons made my lips pucker up...I'm sure the family will devour the pie, you just left it in the oven a tad too long, you'd almost think you were taking lessons from me..lol
Judy, what a trip you'll have, didn't realize it was coming so quickly...make sure you've plenty of batteries for your camera, we need photo's!
LindaKay, both excellent places to donate your works of art..
Audrey, is it the flu you have or just feeling down? Hope as the day progresses you are feeling better...
Waving 'Tubby'
It's been quite a day, yesterday mom was to meet me at work and drop off all her left over wool so I could make more afghans (keep thinking of people who are on my Christmas list) Jim SF worked later than usual so she couldn't...
Got home last night after shopping at Fabricland/groceries and Cathy was here letting Sailor out, shared my chinese food and called mom off/on as I was going to take a run to Washago for a few hours of visit..hadn't seen all the work they had done at the cottage..it was later in the evening when I spoke with Jim (SF) who said he had dropped mom off at Rama Casino and would pick her up later..10:30 mom called..said they are up at 7:30a.m. so said I'd be there with Tim Horton's coffee at 7:30a.m. - she laughed but after 1 hr's drive I arrived at 7:36a.m. coffee in hand..she and Jim were sitting trying to figure out where to start..had over 20 windows installed and all the trim has to be done, big job! got a kick out of mom, here she told me she wanted to get rid of a large garbage bag full of left over wool, so I say I'll take it, she tells me this morning she had Jim stop at Michaels' last night and buy more just so I would have something to do...shaking my head, I've plenty to do...had a lovely visit, got spoilt as usual..aren't I a brat...
Took a photo of part of the cottage..it's 73' long - open concept..anyway, it's a mess with all the renovations but you'll see how pretty it looks showing some of the windows on the front side...
ooops posted on wrong thread..off to the correct thread..lol
Betty
Waving back at ya......
