Judy, I 'was' a brunette when I saw you! LOL My natural color is a darker blonde, almost light brown with natural red in it....but I had just had my hair colored a brunette when I saw you. LOL I have been known to do "seasonal" changes.

Trisha, I feel so very close to you all in the USA that at the end of the 3rd period when you scored and tied the game I heard myself say, 'why can't it be left at a tie, why does there have to be a loser?' but there has to be...I'm Canadian and proud of our team but at the same time, my heart goes out to the USA team...

Lemon pie? you say..lordy Liz, you and Judy didn't even share your lemon pie with Debbie and I did they Debbie? I was shocked as well a few weeks ago Liz..was in Buffalo mailed a swap to Florida and one to Chicago and lordy it was there Monday morning..just don't know how they do it!

I did something quite out of the ordinary this morning..I always watch breakfast television, they were saying the have a trip to the Caribean for 4, flight and cruise I think for 10 days...you have to send a clip why you think you should win in tomorrow and Wednesday they'll pick one, thing is you have to be ready to fly out Friday..ok, me, Greg/Jeff and Melanie...you have to say why you deserve the trip..so in my jammies, with crochet and afghan in hand, I set up my video and said that here I was, bored as can be, doing crafts missing my boys who are busy working making a great life for their families, little time to relax and how fantastic it would be to win the trip...ok, didn't think out that if I won the video clip would be televised..yuk/yuk me in nightie, covered with paint colors, hair not done..wouldn't that just be the time to win....lol

ahhh working on the granny squares and trying to decide on a lap quilt pattern yep still uncluttering and I'm liking the space I'm creating! and i haven't even thought about garage sale yet.
ya post office amazes me sometimes how fast they can ship.

now kenny's son in Tennessee his bday is coming up he said he wants those long round salami rolls and frozen meat piroshki omg that will cost a pretty penny having it packed in dry ice and same day delivery shoot why didn't he just ask for money lol

Loved the colors of the afghan squares....I've 1 more to do and then hook gets put away till fall...oooh got to use my new bag I made this morning, lordy there's enough room to pack up a storm..

If I was sure I'm going to Buffalo in 2 weeks for the day I'd save my Spring and Windchime swaps to be mailed your side of the border...guess I can call up Diane and Rita and see if they want to go, best I find out though when our March School Break is so we're not at the border for 4 or 5 hrs. waiting to cross...

Think Linda Kay they view and pick the winner themselves...and yes, from previous contests they do AIR them..it's was just a lark and something I never do but thought why not..I'd be so embarassed though..laughing here, not embarassed enough to not do it and win a trip for 4...

Thanks for the compliments on the hair! I was trying to take a picture of myself and learning how to use the stupid timer on my camera, which I never did figure out. Betty sounds like you got someone who didn't know how to dye hair, maybe try it again with someone else? I've never had a problem.

Look at our veggie garden!

Oh Crissy, I wi sh we had decent soil here, for a veggie garden. Everything I plant, has to be in pots, or in raised beds! What veggies are you going to plant?

We don't have decent soil, we have red clay and rocks. Dave's buying sand and compost and mixing that together and putting it on top of the grass.

OMG, you'll have enough veggie's to sell Crissy..maybe that's a new line of work for you and Dave..roadside veggie garden..now don't you laugh, when my in-laws retired they did exactly that and made a good living, enough to spend winters in Florida...red clay, isn't it the best for potato growing..

The wood fence is the property line. When we moved here, there was no fence but David and Diana want to breed Rotties, so they put the fence up to keep the dogs in and other mean dogs out, as they lost two dogs to pit bulls that broke through the dog pin they used to have.

Well your garden would be safeguarded then...I love veggie gardens, always had great luck with them but right now I'm not willing to give up my flowers, beside what would I do with tons of veggies being on my own..I know, could open a veggie stand right? lol

Crissy...I am going to give myself some "me" time today...and going for a perm. My hair is now 1/2 way down my back, so the stylist will just love me! Takes her over an hour to roll it. I just need a change.

I am happy to report, bringing the garbage cans back in this morning....I glanced at the side of the house....and there are daffodils about 4" up! YES! There is hope for spring yet.

I have to take Shannon to PT for her leg today. Possibly back to Jeanna's house tonight or tomorrow morning.

While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch.
After finishing their meal, they left the restaurant, and resumed their trip.
When leaving, the elderly woman unknowingly left her glasses on the table, and she didn't miss them until they had been driving for about forty minutes. By then, to add to the aggravation, they had to travel quite a distance before they could find a place to turn around, in order to return to the restaurant to retrieve her glasses.
All the way back, the elderly husband became the classic grouchy old man. He fussed and complained, and scolded his wife relentlessly during the entire return drive. The more he chided her, the more agitated he became. He just wouldn't let up for a single minute.
To her relief, they finally arrived at the restaurant. As the woman got out of the car, and hurried inside to retrieve her glasses, the old geezer yelled to her "While you're in there, you might as well get my hat and the credit card."

Oh I am smiling here at Crissy, Betty and Tubby's joking around! So great to hear...and glad to 'see' you back on here Tubby !

Betty - and all.. well I suppose the Lord sent that very strange visit...when DS got back home...he was VERY apologetic...got his chores done...and started on Homework that was WAY past due... DS DID say....that Bio father and 1/2 brother told him not to join Marines....which I am NOT happy with....this is NOT the time to tell DS what NOT to do...he needs a PLAN at this point... ANY Plan...but I do think OVERALL...it was a good visit...

Betty - maybe you can 'garden' vicariously through us... although the jury is out on whether all planted will be lost.... I planted a couple more things yesterday...was just SUCH a pretty day...

Judy - Now I know one of the most painful things is to burn your fingers! Please be careful! Make DH do the fireplace !

My DH rented a movie that was "action packed"....I can't watch the "Bad stuff" the joke is I leave the room and do laundry while the "bad stuff" is going on...however...what I DID watch of "Law Abiding Citizen" was a pretty good movie... (sat with back to TV some of the time-during the "gory" stuff)

Trisha - Hello!!!! Was it a cross country type bike ride ...ie...several miles? I am finally exercising at a health club for the first time in my life...and I do find I am VERY sore if I miss 2-3 days...

Lucky me, oh, did I forget to say I bought the gift for ME/ME/ME...no wonder it's exactly what I wanted...lol..
