TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Jaye.... (tapping foot..........)
1. I do not "talk funny" I talk Canuck, so THERE!!
2. Are you trying to butter me up for some reason? "Sistah.. you'll still have the sweetest voice on the planet ;)" hmmmmmmmmmm m'thinks there's something afoot!!
Jaye - go to the "bad girl's corner" until I cool off!!!!!!

Susan
(refusing to put music notes around my name!)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Mario, glad to hear you have the bright yellow spot shining!
I bought some pansies yesterday, and made a hanging basket with them, sure hope they fill in later?
Susan, how are you doing? Not too busy I hope?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

♥►►►►►► Bad girl corner.. (move over Marion)

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Cindy that would make me mad too. Just like my Dave here putting everyone in front of me. I thought that the wives came first, then family, then friends. I know you aren't married or anything but you should definitely come before friends, without a doubt.

LOL!!! Susan you talk something, I talk CA with a Southern drawl and was told that I sound Northern, like New York Northern. That was very odd.

We were overcast most of the day but we went to a luncheon anyway, it was delicious by the way, so who cares!

Dave has been building a veggie garden and he was so sore when I got home from work last night he couldn't even walk, so he took the day off from it and there's 70% chance of thunderstorms tomorrow, so he might get two days off from it which wouldn't be a bad thing.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Has everybody gone to bed?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

♥►►►►►► Bad girl corner

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crissy, I am glad Dave's keeping himself occupied. Good boy Dave!!!
I wish Kel has some time to start a vege bed for me. I know.. no more gardening.. but veges are good for my health right?

Hey there Sistah Deborah!!! How are you? Most are watching the Olympics.
I'm here.. in my bad girl corner.. Don't understand why Susan's mad at me. Told the truth about Canucks. Or is it Canyucks???

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Hello Deborah, when are you coming to the other building? Been missing you!!!

Welcome to my world Jaye. Susan, she is right you Canucks do talk funny! A? LOL

That is okay people say we talk funny also but who cares. Besides I now have company in my corner--neener, neener, neener!!!

Haven't done much today as I am tired from my trip yesterday--I am getting to old to do this all in one day any more. Oh well, not much longer and my time will be my own again.

LK I didn't get many pansies--not many left but I did get out in the wonderful bright sunshine and enjoyed every minute of it!!

Off to check other places......

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you Maid M.. but this corner is mighty comfy. Love your sofa ;)
Susan... Kel agrees with me too!! That redneck is having a hard time understanding you!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thank you much--would you like some fresh mint tea while you are here? Just made some today--that is about all I did.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Why, thank you, Maid M. Certainly I'll join you in a cup of tea. How about some warm buttered scones?

That reminds me. When I was in Cairo, somehow.. my request for jasmine tea got lost in translation. This 5 star hotel's restaurant boast of tea in every flavor.
So I told the waiter.. "Jasmine tea". He nodded his head and a few minutes later, in front of me, he placed a cup of hot water with ONE mint leaf floating in it.
Apparently he translated my request to "Just Mint" .

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I can see the look on your face even now! LOL When I was in Palestine, it didn't take the waiter long to figure out I loved mint tea. Every night when Ross and I went down to dinner they would have the pot of tea on the table by the time we sat down. Oh I miss that attention!!!! I still love mint tea as you know.

Hope mine made it though this winter, if not, guess I will need to plant some more.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

The weirdest thing was and still is.. in almost every Cairenese garden, there's the prized jasmine bush. Yet, they haven't learned to dry the petals and use them for tea like the Chinese had.

Nothing like fresh mint tea though for that great "Ahhh" destress!!

Goodnight ladies. See you in tomorrow.. sleep well

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Hope you sleep well in the Bad Girl corner hmmmmpf
Kel - you can go to the BAD GIRL corner TOO - anyone who wears an apron and says I talk funny deserves to go there, too......... even though you have the lowest voice here!!!!! On 2nd thought....... you and Jaye are too cozy....... so you go to the Bad Boy's corner on the other side of the room!

Susan

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh LK, that would be so awesome if you could come. There is a motel right down the road, about half mile, with no turns to get to my house and of course, rental cars! We're equal distance (about) from the Dayton airport and the Cincinnati airport, so either one would be great and it's definitely not hard to find my house from there either!

Anyone else getting excited yet?

Deborah, so glad to see you! You aren't going to miss coming to my house are you? You're one of the originals, so you HAVE to be there!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! OK, you all have had enough time out in the corner, it is time to say your sorry, and come out!
Breakfast is ready, we are having french toast, and bacon today. Coffee is ready!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Nope, I want breakfast in my corner. That is my story and I am sticking with it!!!!

Me, me Cookie--getting excited and counting!!!! Just working on getting this festival over with so I can concentrate on something else. Brain only handles so much at a time. LOL

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

I thought I would take a walk to the other building but found I needed to be invited. I feel left out!

I am officially a retired woman! My last day was last Thursday; had a party and everything. Since I don't usually work on Friday or Monday I wont feel any different until Tuesday rolls around and I don't have to go to work. Well, I move in less than 3 weeks now so that should keep me busy and off the streets.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh YAY, here comes another Buckeye Mama!! ^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Nah nah nah... I'm NOT sorry. I spoke the truth!!
Moreover, the corner is where I can observe you all better! I think Maid M deliberately misbehave so she can stay in her corner!!!

Janice, I have just sent you an invite. Didn't invite you earlier, cause you've said your internet provider will be a different one...duhhh... March.. not February.
I better get my gear going and invite Stacey too, if not, she'll think we all have abandoned her :(

Hi Cookie!! Decided on a pattern yet?

No breakfast.. thank you.. we had pizza after church and now ready to do some zzzzzzzs.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

zzzzzzzzzzz

Ya'll are hilarious!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

shhhhh don't tell all my secrets Jaye!!! The corner is much, much better to observe and see what is really happening in this world.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

My Granny used to say, "you can learn a lot by just sitting still and listening".
Janice, so glad to hear you are now officially re-tired! After your moved, what will you do with your time?

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Janice I was thinking about you the other day and realizing I hadn't seen you around for awhile. Congrats on the retirement! Where are you moving to?

I think this is the thread where someone said there was a deadline(March1) for the Downy quilts? Mine doesn't say anything about a deadline, and the lining is included with the kit. Did I get a different one from everybody else?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

No Audrey, that was in Betty's thread.
If you're in the contest of the most quilts sent, than to enter by March 1st.
All backings should be included, you provide the batting.

Woke up in time for AR!! Love this show!

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the info!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I'm looking at the beginner..."Picture Frame". I'm corresponding with my friend that owns "In the Niche" quilt shop. I hope I didn't get in over my head!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

YYAAAYYY Janice!!! Congrats!! I want to retire but they tell me I'm too young and haven't been working at this job long enough. Poo.

Here's what I did with Jaye's fabric. Thought I'd add a narrow gold border and then I'm not sure what else....

That is so pretty, thanks for posting. How big is it going to be?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

It's about 36" square right now but I don't know what i'm adding for borders....

Raleigh, NC

(waving hello - not feeling good, but wanted to say hello.....overloaded on Olympics...)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Bon, how ya doing? Love the skaters tonight, so elegant!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I can't get into figure skating anymore.... sad.. ain't it? But we did watch a little curling, LK. I remember years ago, when it's only old folks that were in the competition. Now we see more young kids.
A very non aggressive sport.. I like it.

Sorry I've been MIA. Been a very busy day today and have only 2 hours to myself this afternoon :(
Will be another busy day tomorrow again. Vets' and doctor schedules.
I know I'm doing better, but to make sure my sinus is clear. Been drinking more water than usual.. that should be good for sinus too right?

Bon, have you checked your email?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

It's snowing AGAIN!!!! We are expecting 8-15 inches today and tomorrow. I'm ready to go find a cave... No wonder one of my favorite colors is green...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I don't know Jaye, these Olympics are boring me for some reason this time. I think a big part of it is they're doing way too many interviews, I don't remember when they would show 15 minutes of some sport, then commercial for 10 minutes, then a 20 minute interview, then another 10 minutes of commercials, then another 15 minutes of a sport. And the figure skating isn't what it used to be, a lot of it is boring to watch now. Last night they were pretty good but we were more interested in watching Mobsters on the Bio channel. We're not going to have that channel for much longer so we're getting the most out of a good thing LOL!

Water's good for everything. I love water!

Southern AR is expecting snow again today, hopefully it will stay down there!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning!!
Breakfast has passed, so here are some cold cuts for your lunch. Sliced Virginia ham.. some turkey breast and good ole fashioned roast beef.
Just white bread and mayo as condiments. No pickles, sorry!

Lolol Barb!!! Green so happens to be my favorite color too. I love the connotations green offers... spring green.. growing green.. dollar green?
We're still having downpours here. Cold and damp are not conducive to one's well being... but rather the rain than the snow.

Crissy, I know the judges are trying to be as fair as they can and have newer guidelines to follow when it comes to figure skating.. but.. the crowd still could sway their decisions. But I'm glad the Canadian team won, and prove it's not all about gymnastics!!! Grace is much more difficult to master.

Hope everyone here have a wonderful warm day.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Jaye, my best friend says green is her favorite color, the color of money! 'course, she likes anything that grows, too!
Quilter, see how borders of a brown, to match the square in the block, and a peach, to match the other one, looks. I think it would be pretty as borders!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'll give it a look Audrey. Thank you for your suggestion..
