Best/Worse & What did I learn today..visit with friends!

Remember too, my pay has "been cut" $400.00 a month because I'm having to draw my medical insurance now instead of his, which is way way higher.

Scotty is doing better. Got him a hospital bed and a walker and looking into other things to help him. Medicaid quit paying the premiums for Rick's meds which cost $36000.00 a yr., so Disability is taking $200.00 off his check to pay for it. Thank God he still gets his meds. He would die without them. They paid them for twenty yrs and this thing gets worse with age. This world is going to H!!!!!!!!> HUGS BEV

Bev, was fretting, when you weren't posting I feared things were not going well for both of you...I know you all don't want to hear about having a medical system something like ours but it sure would make things easier for you all I'm sure...thank goodness some of his insurance has been picked up..

Right you are Crissy...I'm hopping mad..left the office and we had light coat of freezing rain, then mixed with temps dropping and snow the roads were treacherous..when I got off the 400 to Hwy 93, 1/2 way mark to home a plow/sander was in front of me doing about 30, that's ok, making our roads safe, coming out of Orr Lake is a long hill, kept looking out my side mirror and didn't an idiot pass about 5 vehicles and pull in front of the plow..shook my head, but then here comes a lady, right in the middle of a hill where you cannot see what's coming over the crest pass me and no sooner was she side by side with the plow was there an oncoming car that had to take the snowbank and luckily kept vehicle on the road...I was so angry that this woman could have killed those poor unsuspecting people in the car..I got off a Vasey Road and going to beat the devil was the lady in the van, as I was turning left she was turning right, I sooo should have made a right and followed her hom and tell her just what an idiot she was, how she could have killed someones entire family...but no, thought better of it..I'm hoping that the plow driver might have got her license and call OPP...

Need to have a bath, get into my jammies and calm down...

Geeah Betty, looks like you have crazy drivers up there too? So many drivers just don't care. Glad your OK!

Road Rage!! Oh how I know it well, I get mad at someone every time I drive. Here they're not used to the traffic and they're really retarded, they do things here that in CA you would get shot for doing, seriously. There is a 70mph speed limit on the interstate and someone is doing 65mph in the fast lane. Someone will quickly catch up to them and ride their bumper. In CA they speed up to get around the vehicle then merge to the middle or slow lane to 1. be polite, and 2. get out of the way. Here they slow down or speed up to go exactly the same speed as the vehicle next to them so you can't go anywhere. They'll also speed up so you can't pass them. You NEVER know when someone has an emergency of some sort, plus that's just extremely rude!

People will stop in the middle of the interstate to wait for traffic to pass so they can change lanes. How safe is that to stop when everyone around you and behind you is going 70+mph!?

OK, enough of that rant! LOL Betty I feel your pain, big time!

OMGosh! Betty i would have been just as mad! I hate it when people do stupid things and risk the lives of others doing it! Grrr!

Betty, Maybe someday I can talk Hubby into making another "Rocken Hose" but I have such a list for him already, and no money for materials.... so it might be a while :) As for the decorating of the horse... I was supposed to do it, but ended up that he did it for me :o) He used stain and varnish and wax. Was honey oak stain for the body and walnut stain for the mane. and then a redwood stain (more like a paint) for the handles and saddle. I was going to paint eyes, but we elected to just put the googlie eyes on it instead. But my grandson sure loves that Hose! LOL! and wont let anybody else near it! Mine, mine, mine! LOL it really was a fun project to do, and alot more fun to see his face when we gave it to him :)

Amazing how quickly they learn 'mine/mine/mine' lol - something he'll cherish and will pass on to his children..something to be proud of for sure.. you'd be more than welcome AnnMarie to visit, love showing off Georgian Bay - we call it God's country to visitors...just don't make it winter time..lol..you'd not be impressed!

must have been tired, after I posted, got some quilting books out just to breeze through them, my way of relaxing, fell asleep just after a few pages and woke up during the night and headed for bed...there wen't Wedn. night...this morning had to fight with myself to get up..weekend can't come quick enough..don't know why, do more on weekends then I do during during the week at work..

Let Sailor out, almost thought it was raining, what a mess that would be..

Tiga that rotten spoiled cat kept me awake most of the night! This all started when Dave came to bed at 3am. She kept putting her lips on my cheek, not licking or touching me with her nose, but those little furs that are just above and below her lips, man those can cause some major heeby jeebies!! Every time I dozed off there she was, back touching my cheek. Dave got up at 6 and switched beds, as soon as he got up she went to sleep beside me. Of course I get up between 6:15 and 6:30 so I got next to no sleep last night. UG!!

How adorable, just wants your complete attention..Riley who really is an outdoor kitty wants nothing to do with anyone during spring/summer months, come winter he wants to be affectionate..has a habit of kneading by back 1/2 the night ..lordy that hurts..then between Sailor snoring it's much like having a hubby..lol..just kidding!

That's the way Tiga is, and it's Dad Dad DAAADDDDD!!! He's building a garden area for veggies and she was outside with him almost all day yesterday, guess she was still hyped up, or more likely hungry and 'didn't want the dry food.'

Tiga snores, groans, and grunts when she's asleep. And we can't forget a big twitchy kitty!! It's gross though, when she's dreaming she'll open her eyes.

Yesterday, i went to MIL's to help wash hair and straighten up house.

It's a little hard to see her this way.

I have one more major errand to take care of this morning, then I think I'll be good to visit daily again.

Lets, I finally finished the hand sewing on the Honey bee (not my best blind stitch) lol, after the 5th one i just wanted to get it done.
Also finished the Basket. That one gave me a few snafus, But i enjoyed it, I think I'll make a few more of them...Oh, Also learned the Butterfly...Talk about something learned! That one was crazy, found myself scratching my head, and walking away from it alot! But it is pretty, should i make more, think I'l rework how it goes together.

Oh Betty I know what you mean....but I do have a snoring husband...and a snoring dog....often can't tell which is making more noise....some nights I wish I had ear plugs.

A lot don't, but Betty I would take your medical system in a heart beat! The ones who Don't want it are not among the huge number of us who have no medical coverage of any kind. I spent almost four hours at the ER with Laura last night to get a days worth of Antibiotics and Pain meds to get her through today....she gets the tooth pulled at nine tomorrow morning. I will leave it here , you DO NOT want to get me going on the US Health Care (Read lack there of).

Church Ladies are meeting at mom's for lunch....all of them need to be on a diet the same as me....what is heaviest of the group (who is supposedly on a diet) bringing as the main course! This horrendous, giant Salami, Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza!!! GRRRR!!

But for a cheery moment before I have to leave I see my favorite little grey Squirrel is at the Bird feeder....his way of telling that DH is not keeping the Squirrel Feeder properly filled.

Hey there Betty!!! Glad you're safe... there are inept and very inconsiderate drivers out there. I always say, if you want to kill yourself on the road.. just get off the car and let someone run over you.. but not taking innocents out!
Once there was gal that swerved crazily in and out of heavy traffic. We watched her from a distant and I prayed that she wouldn't cause a wreck. But she did. Her little Toyota did a side swoop on a Cadillac Escalade. An old gentleman was driving it.
He wasn't hurt, but we were witnesses to her erratic driving and gave testimony to the police.
The girl said that she's late for work. Apparently that wasn't her first time being late for work. At first she was on the defense saying the Cadillac 'swerved' into her lane... (she's in the wrong one)... then after me and Kel contradicted her, she admitted guilt.

I see that you still haven't receive your package. But when you do, ask Barb, LK or even Judy what to do with it!

Judy.. prayers go out to your MIL. She is so blessed to have you.

Barb... the deadline is for the special competition I think. If not, then the 4-6 weeks grace for my quilts will not be valid.

Bev, amen for Scotty still being able to get his meds. It' a harsh world here. We are living in a civilized society, yet the sick are treated like criminals, unless one is Donald Trump :(

Look at that adorable squirrel..I so enjoy when sitting on the chesterfield looking out at the birdfeeder..squirrels' eating the food, the cat is watching on the ledge for birds and poor birdies, they sit in the tree dreaming of the treats they are not getting..

What a wonderful day..unbeknown to me, Jeff arrived at the office just around the noon hour, spent the entire afternoon, of course some of his time was business related..guess he's getting into partnership to own same business in different location, he'll hire, too busy to work at it himself..he spent the afternoon acting like a bafoon, all were laughing, playing and having a great time, even a few of the clients...



Greg also called, must be 'call your Mother day'! was nice...Greg said he drove by last night and they were going to stop in but all the lights were out..got to stop going to bed just after 7 right?

I decided to go to Fabricland tonight rather than tomorrow..everything was 40% off for members..now how can you spend $100 when there is nothing you need in the first place...did get nice shades of green/gold as I'm thinking of making myself a quilted table top for the dining room table.

Then a quick stop to Radio Shack for headset, that way I can watch movies at work, have sound as loud as I want and not disturb the workers...I was watching a movie this aft. and Paul said for me to enjoy my movies now because once he opens another 6 offices I won't have time to watch movies...bet I will!!!

Grabbed Chinese food on my way home so now it's bath and jammie time, eat and call it a day...

Snowing and blowing tonight, wanted to stop and fill up but completely forgot..shaking my head here, let's hope I've enough to get to Midland in the a.m.

Crissy - Dave just sounds totally stressed without a job and taking it out on you....I hope he finds a way to lessen the stress so you don't feel the burden of it...I know when DH is stressed we go through the same thing..... and I definitely know I take out my stress on him... Why must we all be so stressed out in our lives! Not the way to live....

Was talking to Jeff yesterday about FB, said same thing, as long as you use it to communicate you are fine just don't join groups or venture off for games, definately a no no he said..for him to tell me stay on it, just follow those guidelines I know I must be ok..check on it here and there to gab with sister Sharon and other friends but they know they can find me on msn all day so mostly that's how I communicate...

Have several stops this morning..gas/walmart/bank/post-offce..all which can be done before 9am so off and running..

I'm sooo looking forward to this weekend...got a list a mile long but know that it's all things I'll get enjoyment out of..

LindaKay, how lucky you are, I'm sooo envious..I was in a valentines swap and Emily (CapeCodGardener) was my buddy..she sent me a lovely box filled with goodies and 2 pkgs. of seeds, well this morning when I dropped into the post office there was another envelope waiting for me..2 pkgs of seeds..

both having 'chocolate' type flowers and highly scented..am excited, will early sow and hope they survive...

I go for 'stress test' March 22nd..no more pains, not sure if it was just a passing ailment or because I'm doing nothing overly strenuous that I'm much better...

Ohhh this headset works great, watching 'did you hear about the Morgans' easy to take off when the telephone rings..lol

so I'm watching movies, sewing some blocks together..got all my running around done this morning except once I receive Canadian Tire Flyer is there is something that calls me to their store home I go..

I'm going to do the techique for my table cloth where it's done all in one, machine quilted as per the link above..wish me luck on that..nope absolutely nothing that takes a lot of energy...

Thought I might even cook up a pot of spagetti and invite Greg and family over Sat. or Sun. if they can't make it, know Noah has mega games and it's Winterama weekend in Penetanguishene and weekends left to snowmobile are few left then I can freeze and my meals for the weekend will be done...

Will do LindaKay..when I was at Walmart this morning in Barrie, much on sale, they are just about ready to open Superstore..last week there was a fabric area, this morning NOT...they do have a section with about 40 fat quarters, that's it...sad really..only places left are these high priced quilt shops or Fabricland...

As I got everything done this morning, think I'll drop in to a quilt shop that someone told me about which is on my way home, just to see what they have..not that I need anything..best I leave my wallet in the car, locked up..lol..always nice to browse though and get ideas...

Road Rage!! I had Road Rage this morning!! I had just got onto the interstate to come to work (2 lanes on each side in that section of interstate) and there is this Faulk box truck, that SOB was going 55mph where trucks are allowed to drive 65, but he was in the right lane and I was in the left lane going my usual 75mph in a 70mph zone, right before I got to him he started driving right down the middle of both lanes so no one could get around him in either lane, and he slowed down even more! When he saw a State Trooper parked on the shoulder he decided to merge back into his own lane, I was just about to call him in to the law too. I politely called him a Loser when I drove by.

Dave's building a veggie garden, so he's been very busy doing that the past couple days, can't wait to take a picture of it! He was wiped out last night.

I kept having a nightmare that I was in the backseat of a taxi cab en route to somewhere and the driver pulled a revolver to his head and pulled the trigger! Every time I dozed off I dreamed it until about 1am, the bang of the gun would jolt me awake every time. I think I'm going psycho!

I hate when that happens...just can't shake away a bad dream!!! really sucks, I find it happens to me when I am really stressed, and I watch anything on tv, just before going to bed!!!!
