Here is the design discription of the metals.

Consistent with the sustainability philosophy of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Vancouver 2010 has announced that the medals will contain recycled metal recovered from end-of-life electronics. Each medal will also feature work by Canadian artists Corrine Hunt and Omer Arbel, and are laser-etched with a unique design meaning no two medals are the same.

The wave design of the medal is said to represent the 'ocean waves, drifting snow and mountainous landscape found in the Games region and throughout Canada.' Translation? 'Oooh, shiny…"

The designer of the metals wouldn't say how much was from recycled materials.

Seems to me I read that the Gold Metal is worth over $500 but the Bronze Metal is worth $3.40!

Tonight is ice dancing, Bode Miller is skiing in the super G, men's and women's skeleton finals, and ski jumping on the large hill. Should be exciting night!

If you watched figure skating last night, Lysacek got the gold metal and deserved it. Plushenko is causing a stink because he wanted it, even though his jumps weren't as clean. He jumped the quad, so what! Their score is based on their whole program. Plushenko is just being a poor looser!!!! He even go his prime minister in the mix.

I missed it, been in bed early every night but kept waking up at 1 or 2 AM! argh!

I had a problem after I was really sick and I would wake up then. When I was sick I was awake alot. Finally got back to my regular sleep.

I haven't been watching O. that much. Saw Bodie who got Silver and saw the Gold Metal guy.

I need my mind a little more occupied so I have been sending photos and stuff while the TV is on. I miss Kitty and I am sad. It has been just Kitty and me for the past 3 1/2 years. Before that it was Momma Kitty and me for 15 years.

If I am correct, Apolo got a Gold for 500m and then the Bronze for 1500m.
He has 2 more races today and I don't know what they are.

Too much dust from kitchen remodel I've had my computer shut down while DH is working in there.

how is it coming along JJ? we just figured out how we're going to configure the bathroom & closet. I wanted to tear out a wallover the weekend but dh wouldn't let me till we had our layout planned out.

JJ, didn't you say you had some of that fancy lemonade that tasted like peach juice. Anyway, I found the nutrition facts of it. I guess one bottle is one serving and figure this info is on the bottle also. But I was just curious of what that drink was.
