You are absolutely right, Sherrie! You MUST have both the time and the patience, or you have years of frustration later! Your Puppy is doing GREAT!! You clearly have put in lots of time and the training is impressive!!! I had said earlier on that I had always found 2 dogs to be easier than one. I still hold to that, but having never had 2 puppies at once with no adult dogs, I cannot now say that having 2 puppies is easier than one!!! LOL
NE forum pets 3
People need more knowledge. in all sorts of neighborhoods, especially on spay & neuter. wouldn't it be nice if difficult to find pets?
That woman's an angel---couldn't face what she does daily---
Love the last line of that article, I actually teared up.
Yes - very touching.
A forum family member had to put down a pet. Please keep him/her in your thoughts and prayers.
will do that.. hugs to the person it is
Thanks.
Thank you both..... that would be me. One of my Chinooks has been having problems with one of her legs, it turned out to be cancer and she went down hill fast.
I ended up taking her into the vets on Valentine's Day to have her put to sleep, I couldn't stand another moment of her being in pain. She and her brother Jake are almost 10 years old and have never been apart, to say he's lost is an understatement.
I have a black Lab thats 13....I have been mentally preparing for her to pass so this one was a shock and caught me totally off guard.
R.I.P. Jade
Jcoats123: What a beautiful family portrait. She is so pretty with her babies...Is this site just about dogs as pets or pets in general. I have 3 cats and one dog. Here is a picture of Jade that I adopted last year with her Easter kittens. She was abandoned and found refuge on my porch while I was away. My husband felt sorry for her fed her then we realised that she was an expectant mother. I brought her in and three weeks later she had her kittens on Easter morning four of them . She was so exausted that I had to help her with the last one.The kittens were adopted by three different vet techs including my grand daughter who is also one. We kept mama and named her Jade for the color of her eyes, my husband call's her marble. Of course since then she has been fixed and get's along relatively well with the other two cats and Josh our Lahsa Apso Who think's that the world should be at his feet.... Also a rescue from the D.C.shelter.
aaaaaaawwwwww what a nice story
ooohh another tea cup.. I have a few.. but not that one
I bet yours did not come with a cat that thought that was her new home....
I'm so sorry Celeste. They are our family and loyal companions, making that call can be excruciating. My sincerest condolences.
Celeste my condoleances, it is so heartbreaking to lose a pet . They are a part of our lives and they are hard to give up, and hard to replace. They all have a special place in our hearts....

Anybody watch the Westminster show last night ? Watch it with Baby boo (my grey cat) the only show that he sits and watch all the way . Go figure
I watched it-I look forward to it every year! I was pulling for the Puli to win BIS b/c my family bred Pulik years ago--wonderful breed. If anyone is interested, last nights show is repeating on USA channel right now--just started.
Oh, I'm so sorry, Pixie----she was such a pretty girl---her brother will miss her terribly. Orchid, how ironic you posted your Jade after Pix's Jade---it is certainly a "Circle of Life". And I did watch Westminster---had met the airedale who placed 4th. My cousins, DH & I all went to Westminster 6 years ago---very memorable---BIS was the newf who had a coat like velvet---MSG was sold out, & it was a racous bunch, stamping & whistling for Josh, the newf.
I thought of you when they showed the Airedale--LOL! I remember Josh--he was amazing! I live near a site on the major AKC show circuit that hosts several shows a year, and even get to meet some of the dogs on occasion. Even had a judge take a quick unofficial look at Phoebe once--She coulda been a contender! LOL!
So sorry Celeste.
Love the teacup shot, Orchid.
Big, big hugs to you, Celeste. I can't tell you how sorry I am and how much comfort I wish you all. Hugs to her brother too.
I'm so sorry, Celeste. Jade was a very sweet looking girl.
It's tough to lose a pet as we all do. Perhaps you could concentrate on the good home that chipper had, lucky dog!
Celeste - hugs from me and the cats.
Celeste, so sorry to hear about your loss. Sending hugs your way.

Thank you ALL very much for your kind words, wishes and hugs...they are much needed right now. So far Jake has had 2 anxiety attacks, we had to medicate him on the last one, hopefully there wont be anymore but time will tell. Brian & are taking turns being with him, one of is is home at all times right now. He's very needy and has turned into an extreme nervous-nelly so we take turns leaving the house to do errands, ect...
I'm hoping to take Jake for a walk today, it should reach 36 and the air will do us both good. However, since Jade died he has no interest in being outside.Wish me luck :(
best of luck to you all Celeste
I'm confused, that link was the screen sign on for gmail.
Love the color of that sink! My bath needs a whole do over, but I keep spending the money on plants! Sorry to hear about Jake, Pixie---when our male airedale died, his sister mourned for months---she lasted 18 months without him.
I copied the link and posted it.Just enjoy the Organized cats.
Huh?
Celeste, so sorry for your unexpected loss. It puts a lump in my throat thinking about how Jake is taking it too.
I have a brother/sister duo who are getting up there in age - funny, his name is also Jake (his sister is Jordan). I had a pure bred American Eskimo who had the sweetest disposition, so I was thinking about breeding her. I live in an area where neighbors are few are far apart, and there were no male dogs within miles. Wouldn't you know, just when she was old enough for breeding, one of the neighbors about a mile away had visitors for a week who had brought their un-neutered pure bred miniature black schnauzer. They wondered why he was hyper and unsettled and kept disappearing. Despite being what I thought was careful, Ashely got away from me and hooked up (literally) with "Spike" (what a name for that rascal). Ended up with a litter of six absolutely adorable pups. I kept Jake and Jordan, and the other four went to older family members and friends who had recently retired and had just lost beloved family pets - what timing. Every one of those pups became the center of their lives and were wonderfully coddled. Ashley (nearly 16) passed away last year, and two of the six pups passed away recently. Jake and Jordan are now 13, and I don't even want to think about it. Jake has always been a challenge - neurotic, yappy, and ornery, and Jordan is the best canine friend that I've ever had. But, they have been together since birth, and I wonder how either will react when the other goes. Well, this was long winded so I'll wrap it up. Sending you hugs... Terri
