Coffee Break #31 - Super Bowl Edition
Oh good. Then I want mine for only two weeks please.
Good luck w/that! LOL I've been pretty steady at it for about a year...it's worse if something's on my mind!

LOL
Harper, you are starting the no sleeping & hot flashes early...i'll be 50 in a few more months!
my mom started real late... and it lasted forever
:(
Yup, early. I felt sad when the doc first said so, but now I'm fine with it.
I've always got stuff on my mind! Usually it's whatever project I am working on... I make lists in my mind. If I can't sleep, I write them down, but my mind doesn't shut up! LOL
I still haven't slept. I'm gonna try to go for it.
Maybe that means mine will be short? My own mother wasn't early. My sisters are 5 and 7 years older than me and they haven't started yet. Hmmmm....
I've spent the last 4 nights waking up around 3 and not going back to sleep til 5-5:30. And I like to get up between 5:30 and 6. It's not menopause for me, just had some things on my mind. And once I have one night like that, I usually have a few in a row.
I'm planning on sleeping all night tonight.
my mom refused to take any of the meds to help... I told Randy if mine is like hers.. just get ready to leave
I've been having symtoms since I was 44, just started w/sleepless nights and temperture control problems about 6-12 months ago. I take no meds which should explain some of my outburst this past year, for which I am truely sorry if I offended anyone. :(
I do not do well on any type of medication for some reason and i'd rather not take my chances with the side effects associated with hormone therapy.
that's what my mom said too... put my thryroid hormones wacked.. and her hormones wacked.. together.. and boy watch the sparks fly.. not to drag my home life into public but I ended up moving out because of it
and I don't ever remember an outburst that offended me Celeste... you are good in my book
My Mother...it was her temper, scared the crap out of me but I was a fast runner. LOL
under normal circumstances I would have done that too.. but add my whacked out hormones.. and it was just an invite to a fight
Well in my Mom's defense...she had 6 boys, then me when she was almost 41. At 50 whlie she's going thru the change...I was a 10 year old brat. LOL
I was 21 at the time she went though hers.. bad news too.. know it all
maybe they should change the bloom of the day name to these three peoples blooms of the day... LOL
Isn't that weird.........or is it??
don't know.. I look everyday... and those few names kept ringing a bell
Did you start your coleus already from seed? I think i'm going to start some this weekend
yeah I got ants in the pants and started early
YUP, getting antsy. LOL
There does seem to be a small number of the same peoples pics that show up. Maybe they are the only ones to vote on PF. They are also good photographers and have blooms that are during the winter months or are more unusual. I do not know how it works but maybe they should be a little more diverse in the selection.
The symptoms do eventually diminish or pretty much go away, but it takes a while. I took no meds but make sure you get your bone density checked so you can deal with bone loss early. The whole thing is not a lot of fun but knowing what it is helps you deal I think.
I was looking though seeds and deciding which ones can handle being in the house longer.... my friend the coleus can take it!!!.. I started some of my petunias too.. I can honestly say... what the heck was I thinking buying all those types of seeds.. way way way too many petunias this year.. if they all make it.. you guys will have some nice plants too.. LOL
density is important in some cases!!!
Love petunia's! Bought 'Merlin Blue Morn' again because they were so stunning last time I grew them.
pic please? I'm suggesting lots of tunias for Capt Kirk--he seems to prefer deep, intense colors--jewel tones etc.
here ya go

I can't find mine at the moment...mine was deeper than those in PF I think.
^_^ Thanks Allison!
Whoops, posted this on a different thread...not 'Blue Morn' maybe 'Pink Morn'?

Pretty! I used to be a garden snob and not grow "weedy" petunias--now I love them! And so many pretty ones!
try these 2 links for some beautiful photos of petunias!!!!

These are all so pretty. Alas I must put them in pots and up high or the critters get after them here.
Had to sympathize with the menopause stories, but ,in fact, my symptoms only lasted a few weeks---I had 1 hot flash, took a few doses of an herbal remedy---end of hot flashes. Those petunias are beauties! I'm growing them again after quite a few years---I chose Rosy Morn, & I 'd better start planting them!
Wow! Those are gorgeous! And btw Robin...yer out of the club! Only one hot flash--geeze! Not fair! ^_^
