Coffee Break #31 - Super Bowl Edition

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Uh oh. I'll have to check this out.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Did you guys do this while logged OFF DG?????? That's what you have to do.

South Hamilton, MA

Found some of my comments--didn't know that I spoke Korean.

South Hamilton, MA

Only one garden journal entry glad that I stopped. member page did not show. I thought all this was private!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yeah I thought all this was private too, what's the deal? Someone want to ask admin?

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Like Victor said, if you log out of DG then do it you won't see everything

South Hamilton, MA

Saw my 'journal ' that way. did not see any member information.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

my journal, diary, and zazzle stuff comes up

South Hamilton, MA

I would say book reviews & the files are open to the public. My one entry journal is not, plus other comments. I think we all are mostly careful what we write, but private entries should be that way.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Are you logged off, Allison? I have not logged off because I don't remember what password I used! Duh!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

no I never log off

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That should be why you're seeing it.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I just logged off and my member page came up....hmmm

South Hamilton, MA

They had my user name on a Facebook. So I clicked on it & they said could not fine the page. that is very good as I am not on Facebook so why would it say so in the first place? I am not happy with the situation.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

I just logged out and it came up as the first on the page!!! i goggled my name and daves.

Jen I deleted my profile info here. I'm getting ready to delete my PO box in addy exchange.

My name has came up almost since I started here. I had the same nick on Sci-Fi and it popped up from there also. I dont worry about it as I have nothing to hide. What I dont like is if you have a regular phone number you type that into google and your address comes up!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hmm. That's a problem. I never took part in the addy exchange.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I logged out and could see every single entry I've made in my blogs. Ugh! I thought blogs and journals were private to subscribers.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Harper I think there is an option to make them private.. I will see if I can find it

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

ok the journal has a setting link

Selecting privacy levels for your journal
Your journal is currently marked as public.

This means that other people may view your items, entries, and images.

You now have the option to change your privacy level. Do you want your journal to be private or public?

To change your privacy level, select the box you desire below, and then click submit.

No, please don't let anyone see my journal.
Yes, I want others to be able to see my journal.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Oh, God. I must've had it public all this time! Aaaaahhhhgggh! Thanks Allison.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

not seeing options in the diary

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Allison, where did you see the option to change journal settings? Is there one for the blog? That's the one I'm more worried about. I've always known that whatever I type here is practically public anyway. I probably know about 2% of all 7200 subscribers. Undoubtedly, a few of those are here to get our information only.

Diary, blog and journal all have private settings. The member page is public and always has been. This is all from Dave.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I couldn't find it in the diary / blog

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I never had any of them, so I can't help personally.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ugh - just went to remove the trap from the attic and found a dead squirrel in it! Apparently there were two! I stopped checking the trap after the other one got out. Guess this one was trapped after that.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yuck.. better hope there no babies

I guess the old Diary / Blog entries can not be marked private... just new entries

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Caught 1 mouse yesterday, hubby said there was another in the other trap this morning...HOW MANY ARE THERE??? ewwwww

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Teach Wall-e to catch them instead of cute bunnies!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Dealing with a $#$!#@!-ing kid today who keeps running through my garden and ringing my doorbell. I drove around the block and found him earlier today and warned him. Unfortunately, I had my son in the car so I did not really let him have it with all four letters. But he appeared to be scared. Well, he came back again and rang the bell. My wife called the cops and went around to some of the neighbors. He, and some friends, have been doing it to a number of them, including throwing a stick at an old man's house! I am worried about what I might do if I catch him. Have zero tolerance for that crap.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

be careful Victor... I know it's hard dealing with things like that... might be a 6 foot monster behind the b@$*%rd child... hope someone catches him and gives him a firm talking to before you have to

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

On my walk this morning I came across an empty egg carton and some cars that got egged. Why do kids do this?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Good question, Deb. We were no angels but we were never destructive. My father would have killed me.

I strung some fishing line where he runs through to the next property (I have to replace the missing fence this spring.) Next time he'll get a faceful.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

no clue.... it's a real pain to get that stuff off when it's cold

Fredericton N B, Canada(Zone 4a)

I know You consider it rude but I can;t help wondering How Victor ca nspend so much tome on line.Ignorant canadian

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It's called multi-tasking, aged. Now please, get off it! I'm losing my patience.

South Hamilton, MA

Usually when you are on to kids, they stop it. If there is a bunch they are probably 'daring' each other. If parent complains about fishing line, 'Oh, I was just marking where the fence is going up'. Some parents can't see that their little darlings are bad.
