snow has not started here yet - we are on the edge of 4-8 & 8-12.
Blizzard conditions coming today and possibly 2 more feet of snow! What the heck! Hopefully my Pizza shop will at least make it through lunch...economy is bad enough now mother nature keeps punching me!

Flurries just started about ten minutes ago here. Shouldn't see much action for a while. They have no clue what this storm is going to do hence the big snowfall allowances. Probably at least 6". That would be okay. High temps for the next week are supposed to be over freezing so it will go away faster than if we were in a deep freeze. Just hate when it sits there for weeks and keeps getting deeper as more snow falls. Present temp is 30 degrees and wind has turned to the NE as required by a nor'easter. Still light but should get a bit blustery late this afternoon into evening. All gone by tomorrow morning, good.
Flurries since 7:30 and now starting a bit more. I have to go to Boston tomorrow, so I hope the roads are clear in the morning. Wishful thinking. Patti

The snow here is still light---my driveway still has bare patches---the birds are just starting to feed---supposed to get 8-10, but I'm hoping for a whole lot less!

DW took the day off so we're staying inside in these blizzard conditions. Light snow started at 12:15am. So far five inches on the ground of wet, heavy snow, at least double that expected by the time it ends later tonight.

Looks like about 5" but can't really tell because it started sleeting and packing it down, the wind really picked up. Sleeting right now but they are expecting it to switch back to snow and another 12"
Yuck Jen. Those heavy wet icy snow sandwiches are the worst to deal with. Snow flurries have ceased for the moment here. Temp holding steady at 30 degrees and what little wind is from NE, mostly calm however, the one before the storm I suppose.

29*F and near whiteout at times. Holly put on my neoprene chest waders to fill the feeders, she was thigh deep where yesterday there was bare path. There are flocks of cardinals, jays and small song birds feeding and using the junipers for cover. Ric
