41°, windchill 36°, wind W 7mph, sunny (with some snow coming tomorrow, Yippee!)
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 62
Cold & clear. We were comfortable enough grocery shopping as the wind had died down.
The extended light is definitely noticeable now!
31 and clear.
Reached 4.2 kW on my solar today!
woo hoo.. bring on the light!!!
Yeah - I'm lovin' it!
I just saw the news....boy are you guys south of me going to get whalloped!!
Philly & DC could see up to 30"!!!! My sympathies!!!!!!!!!
not looking good that's for sure.. but they are still saying either we are getting walloped or not so much
Can't even conceive of that much!
Oh i've seen it and it ain't no fun!! I remember one year my brothers had to crawl out of the second floor windows because the snow was that high. We could not open the doors with out jumping out the 2nd story in order to shovel. That stom lasted 3 days........those were the good ol' days. ^_^
I freak over 6 inches.. this might put me over the edge
Sounds fun! Chance of more snow on Tuesday!
Storm is predicted to miss us. Hang on Mid-Atlantic & points west. I know it is traveling the other way but easier to visualize.
I can't wait.
I bet, as we used to say as teenagers.
We're on the edge so we could get 6" - 20". I'll let you know Sat. night. Was shopping today and thought of Wha and the blocked aisles and chuckled to myself. I've never seen so many seniors in there. I know, I know, what was I thinking, but I NEEDED milk and braed. and picked up prescriptions for mom.
Wow - big range, Jan!
I know. That's what living on the edge will be.
wow pretty
Thanks. It's nandina.
Interesting, my nandina is still covered with red leaves, no berries.
How old is it?
Dont know, it was 2' high when I bought it in Sept. Maybe it has to get adjusted to the seasons...
Trying to remember how long it took mine to get berries. I recall it was not a long wait - the first or second year. This photo is of the species, not any of the smaller cultivars.
Mine is Nandina Fireworks, maybe it doesn't put out berries. I'll find out next winter for sure, it will have been in the ground for a year then...
Pretty shot !
I have a couple of Firepower for about ten years - never had berries.
Very pretty shot. There is a thread on beginner landscapes(I think) they were looking for a winter landscape pic...I'll have to link them to that one.
28 now .. high of 32 well so far they are guessing we are getting 8 - 12 inches tonight.. and supposed to start at 7PM.. lets see how wrong they are this time
19° No snow predicted for our area.
Thanks, Jen!
25 and partly sunny. Should not be too bad here tomorrow. A few inches.
14 here
nice nandia shot victor - mine has white berrie's - think it is the species as well
boy do i wish we were getting that snow here! At least it will be on the weekend for those not wanting it.
Nice berries and snow shot Victor.
Good luck to all of you in Jersey, hope it goes more south and you only get a few inches to deal with down there.
Temp here is 22 degrees with partly cloudy skies and a light wind from the NW. Should get up to around freezing for a high temp and so far no snow forecast for this area. This does not make me unhappy at all.
We have 'flurries' forecast----it better not turn into 6" of flurries, am entertaining many folks on Sun. for Mom's 95th, & don't need the mess snow brings! Hang in folks to the south of us!
Wow - wish her a wonderful 95th! Amazing.
35°, windchill 31°, wind W 6mph, cloudy
4-8" predicted here, we'll see...
i second that - 95!!
Send her Birthday wishes from here too and hope the weather holds up for all.
Happy b-day to your mom!
They are labelling the Mid Atlantic storm an "epic" storm
