They changed out forecast, we were under anadvisorie till 10 am now it is to 4 pm with an inch of sleet and freezing rain called for. Gott love Winter. I wish I had taken up more Winter sports.

Susan We are north of Boston & I think warmer than south of it today. that is strange, but we are close to the ocean which may make a difference. Advertise your house with land for gardening? That may attract someone needing space for plants. :o

We are at 18 now, got up to 24! Should reach 31 tomorrow w/snow showers, not breaking freezing but it's better than now. ^_^
Flood waters are not receeding anymore due to the freeze. Cutters can't move it so the flood watch will stay in effect. Residents w/house on the river are to be on flood watch until further notice. :(

I postponed a trip to Portland (an hour and half away) until next Wed. because of the snow. DD and I are going shopping for her shoes, veil and accessories now that she has finally set a date ..... Sept. 5th, 2010.

I've known about this wedding for 8 months the dress was bought last summer before the other daughter was even up the isle. ^_^

We had a 90 min delay

Just started here a couple of hours ago, seems to be coming down in fine flakes...I like the big ones better. It's 12* now, supposed to get up to 29 today but im guessing it's going to be a slow climb!

Hi, y'all---got back from FL last night & woke up to SNOW! But the weather in FL this Jan. was the worst we've ever had---38 & sleet was the high for one day, but there were plenty of days that were cold or rainy, or, when the temp actually rose, we were under 2 tornado warnings. Most of the plants were brown due to freeze damage---pansies were nice, though. Here is a photo of our rental with our friends' house to the right. Will be catching up on the threads all week, I guess!
