GYPSIES: THE SEARCH FOR LOST MARBLES

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Good movie, Cowboys in space (Clint Eastwood and James Garner) on AMC. If it comes on again watch it. Started to watch Miss America, but glad I didn't now Venice. JJ you did good, he would be on my list for a good week lol. Lynnie will catch the menue Monday. Have a good Sunday ladies. Good Night.

(Zone 5b)

good mornimg!!! Smiley you up?
When you said you were heading out last night did you mean to bed? I haven't headed out at that time of night since I was in my 20's *grin* ok maybe 30's.

We had blackened tuna appetizer with some kind of cold crabmeat on it, kinda spicy it was really good. I'm not a fan of rare fish but this was very pink, but still good (hopefully I don't get hepatitis from it, feel ok so far) *grin*
then I had a delicious pasta dish with vodka cream sauce, lobster, asparagus and brie cheese. I don't normally like cream sauce or cheese on my fish, but this was awesome. I ate half because mama needed some chocolate. For dessert, a bread pudding made out of croissants, custard, and chocolate.

This place was built in 1700's has quite a history and is supposed to be haunted. Here's a link.

(Zone 5b)

my eyes are still closed over here, I misspelled morning.

JJ did you rest up from that wild goose chase yesterday? I would have been cussin' like a sailor *grin* next time make your sister go with you for company, then when you can't find the stuff you go out to lunch and then buy yourself something, a book, a plant, a pair of red high heeled boots *grin* Take one of us with ya, you'll forget all about those lights. I hope he fed you at least!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good Morning Lynnie...my goodness you guys were a longwinded bunch last night....grin took a while to catch up. Okay, here goes:

Smiley, no one ever suspects the quiet ones, grin. They always say, Oh I can't believe it, she was so nice and so quiet....You go girl!

Dixie...maybe they were fresh Zombies. Edward could tell you for sure....grin

Flowers, I love your bermuda shorts...That big red hibiscus on the back side made it east to keep track of you in the snow...grin

Lynnie, Now you see why WOW rides that motorcycle....love the boots and the fruit topper is to die for...Meal sounds wonderful...all except for the crab...I would be a zombie if I ate that...grin

Seed, party sounds great. I think you and Lynnie have b'days really close together. My DD's is Feb 2nd. Your project was so sweet. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a smashing good time next weekend.

Venice....just think of everything those girls have missed...bet you wouldn't see them on a BW . And Heaven knows they would cry if they saw what Lynnie got to eat and still be a size 2...grin

JJ, I think that falls under the heading of "It is okay to smack a DH when he sends you to buy something and won't answer the phone" Look it up...not a court in the land would convict ya....honest...grin.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Morning Lynnie,

Sister was home with sick DH....a real baby so she couldn't go.
I was putting the sailor to shame..grin.. and came home and ate popcorn for supper.

I wasn't talking to him...probably would not have been nice.
Just gave him the bill. His $46.00 light cost $100.00 and the $2.00 wall plate was $8.00 found one I liked better.
Don't think he'll be sending me anymore..hahaha

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Morning Moon,
I wasn't in the smacking mood more like killing.
Butter would melt in his mouth today and last night he was almost running up the stairs with those boxes. LOL

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning all. I was up at 7:00, but no one was here yet, so I moved over to my messy desk. Just got done, I can't believe it took me 3 hours to clean all that up! had a ton of papers all over, a couple of mail surveys (I used to like doing them..) and had all of mom's mail here. She's losing track of that, I told her to just save it for me. I'll bet that was the bulk of my time.

Lynnie, we would be dangerous in a restaurant ~ that all sounded good to me!

Good morning Moon. yeah, they say it's the quiet ones you have to watch out for. I remember when we told our group of friends that I was pregnant with DS, one of the guys actually blushed. I guess he didn't think I did that (after 10 years together???)

Flowers, I saw Cowboys in Space, good movie.

JJ, I can imagine... don't even want to go there, you must have been fuming. With good cause, especially if he wasn't answering the phone. DS does that sometimes, it's your loss, buddy.

Venice, I remember when I was younger, watching Miss America was a big TV deal. Now after seeing what they go through as little girls... There's a really twisted little movie out there called "Little Miss Sunshine", not a real story, don't think it would be your type, but really funny. Lots of 'F' bombs, about a truly dysfunctional family that supports each other. The little girl wants to be a beauty queen, but really doesn't have a chance.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Smiley...I love Little Miss Sunshine...Toni Collette is one of my favorite actresses...and Steve Carel is just very funny...along with Greg Kinnear.

I liked Space Cowboys too..sometimes the old guys DO know better....grin

JJ, the only thing that keeps my hands from DH's neck sometimes is the thought that I don't like orange as a clothing choice....grin

Y'all have a sweet day, hope to get a chance to log in again later today.

(Zone 5b)

my computers got infected with a virus or spyware, only one not infected is crappy laptop. With nothing else to do, sent dh for donuts. I only ate one. I had to sit in front of monitors to close the "not fit for children" pop ups going off like fireworks lol they are almost fixed and we'll see where the virus or spyware came from.
I'm still hungry....donuts aren't fillling at all. think I'll throw some bacon on.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Morning all!

I had an odd breakfast this morning, cottage cheese on Wasa, a little apple salad, and Teddy Grahams.

Yes, I saw 'Little Miss Sunshine' on TV. Cute movie.

Little warmer today, 20 degrees, and the sun is out!

I have Man vs. Wild on this morning while I am doing other things. The things he does are quite amusing. Like when he shows how something is good to eat and then he spits it out. Or when he drinks his on u . . . . ! Or when he eats a bug and he screws up his face and can hardly get it down. Or when he says it is not as easy as he thought!!!

I am not even dressed yet! So I better get busy. Later

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good and peacful Sunday. It's been a lovely sunny, crisp winter's day here, about 34f,so compared to most of you, quite mild :}.Went out for a walk with Sam,as I so often do on a Sunday.Beautiful day for it.We walked by a river for most of the time, called the River Wye,which flows through part of the county of Derbyshire, where we live.

Venice,it looks a lovely,green,healthy little baby:}

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Beautiful countryside Joy. Even I wouldn't mind walking if I could look at that.

Nice little baby venice.
Hi ya Lynnie. I have decided I need to come stay with you... I would be a size smaller by the end of the week...grin..

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

JJ, that is a great idea! I should come leave with Lynnie for a year so I could get back to my skinny self! Eating all the right stuff and exercising just like she does!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Well I won't be eating much so there will be plenty Venice...grin...
Just don't think its the right stuff for me..lol

I am sure you are a VERY GOOD cook Lynnie..just so everyone knows that isn't why I'm not eating much.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

JJ, is it because you don't like all the fancy food she fixes and you prefer plain food?

Dronfield, United Kingdom

Thanks JJ,it is lovely countryside,we're very lucky to have beautiful places so close to home:}.I read on the past thread about your awful Saturday,I hope you're recovered and have had a peaceful Sunday.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Joy, your area is certainly lovely. Sure wish there were beautiful areas to walk in around here.

(Zone 5b)

Hi Joy, beautiful pics!
ok Venice & JJ are you guys making fun of me? *grin* I made roast chicken the other night and I'm making a plain & simple meatloaf tonight. With butternut squash.

Dronfield, United Kingdom

Thanks Venice,as I say we're very lucky, even the nearest city to me,Sheffield,is surounded by countryside.
I'm off to relax a while now,as it's already 9.15 here,so I hope you all have a good evening.
Take care
Joy

Dronfield, United Kingdom

Thanks Lynnie,have a good evening:}

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Lynnie, as for me, I am just jealous! Have you had spaghetti squash? I had it once and just couldn't eat it.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

No Lynnie I am not making fun of you..did you not notice I said you were probably a very good cook.

Venice is right I prefer plain things...you might be cooking plain old meatloaf.... had to throw in that squash didn't you... but if I remember right you don't like it...

I wish I could learn to eat and exercise the way you do I would probably feel a million times better most days. Just don't have the right tastebuds I guess..

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Yes Joy I have recovered thanks.
Can't say the same for my DH though..hehe

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I like butternut squash with brown sugar and butter. Lynnie, I bet you don't fix it that way! It is just that spaghetti squash that I really can't eat.

(Zone 5b)

I've tried spaghetti squash and I don't like it either! I like acorn squash with butter & brown sugar, my new favorite way to eat butternut squash is with (JJ cover your eyes) butter and just a tiny shake of ginger. Even one kid and dh like it lol

Meatloaf is pretty plain, an egg & breadcrumbs, a few spices (thyme, garlic salt & basil) and for hubby I smother the top with onions and peppers & bbq sauce. I use ground turkey. Everybody likes it but me. I just hate meatlaof, would rather have a burger! I'm going to make brocolli, too, I think I'm craving veggies after dinner last night and a donut this morning.

hey JJ guess what I saw on overstock.com...tile murals. They were really pretty. Check them out. I was looking at the river rock for my bathroom. But they had beautiful murals for kitchens too.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I fixed meatloaf the other day and this is what I put in it, dried bread cubes, green pepper, onion, Kitchen Bouquet (I like mine to look darker), bouillion granules, pepper, bbq sauce, milk, egg, grated carrots, and bbq sauce on top. I just don't use all the spices you do in anything. I have brussels and cauliflower in the fridge. I will fix them in the microwave then put salt and tiny bit of marg. on the cauliflower, same with steamed cabbage. I think you fixed other things with more spices also.

(Zone 5b)

I eat broccoli with only lemon and pepper.
your meatloaf sounds good, but I don't think the little one would eat it. She's a picky little thing. Won't even eat mashed potatoes.
I don't like cauliflower, I just don't like the texture.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I like caulifower on the mushy side.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Those darn gnats! They are like little dive bombers. You see them and when I try to hit them, they are gone!!! I am going to start spraying everyday.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Got it Lynnie thanks.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Roast , pot and carrots in the crockpot.....

(Zone 5b)

I'm going to cook my roast in the crockpot as soon as I remember to defrost it lol

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Wish mine would get done I'm starving..

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

mmmm..... all that food sounds good! we're ordering subs. yup, a turkey club for me. this sub place has good subs, but not much variety.

(Zone 5b)

I used to love Italian veggie subs with mayo, oil & vinegar....yum!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Where's the meat???? LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

LOL!!!
