What are YOU looking most foward to??

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i planted a separate patch for them - they still break the rules and eat out of both then love leaving the once bitten fruit on my deck railings to mock me

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

I am still laughing about Victor getting an all over tan! lol No wonder why those peepers in long jackets are by your pool!! ha ha

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Another great grouping JoAnn. What a colorful garden you are going to have, not to mention how fragrant with all those pretty lilies. I am looking forward to the pics you will be sharing with us in the next few years .

Love Tiny Ghost

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I was given 'Tiny Todd' and 'Tiny Athelte' last fall my a lovely DG'er, I can't wait to see them bloom.
Actually I got a great package last fall....I had been offered to pick up a few Martagon for me that I wanted, all I had to do was send the money and postage. Well this wonderful DG'er figured she'd stuff my box with as much as it could hold since the shipping would be the same. She stuck in a several bulbs from her own garden and I was like a kid in a candy store when I opened it!
I believe this was the contents of the box......might have forgotten one or 2 as I don't have my notes handy.

Pink Giant
Serrano
Robert Griesbach
Tiny Todd
Tiny Althelte
Martagon 'Moonyeen'
Martagon Noid because I can't remeber at the moment.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Okay JoAnn your collages and specially that last pink and white mix, are making me really, really want spring to get here fast.
Pix that is a lovely thing that the DGer did. Gardeners are so great and what a nice list.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Well Pat, you prob. don't want to know what I just ordered.....add to Faraway Flowers.
My 'San Pedro' is out of stock so I substituted it with 'Dark Sensation ' then I added.....

Chiara , Santa Rosa , Vandella

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Oh not fair! Now I have to go look them up except for Santa Rosa which I have already ordered. I cannot order anything else! Going off to drool only. ^_^

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Okay those are lovely choices, drooled all over the place finding them. Are there some that are new because I don't recall a couple of them or missed them when I was ordering. They do have very nice lilies.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I thought the 3 different tones of pink along with some dark purple & white phlox mixed in would be pretty.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

The picture conjured up in my head is looking very nice indeed.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks everyone
They are going to be border lilies and interplanted with Hostas.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i applaud you folks and your lilies - i do not care to fight the little red devils - nice to see your pictures!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I have thrown away both gardening catalogs that came in the mail this week. Too much temptation right now.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Well I cannot wait to turn the clocks ahead again. It's only around 40 days away, then St Pat's Day with corned beef and cabbage, it will really seem like spring to me.

South Hamilton, MA

Yes, It is still dark early mornings.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

The cats are at the windows looking into the dark. The last time they did this I found deer tracks in the lawn.

Geriatric insomnia is a real thing.
I have tried to stay up later but it just doesnt work. The wee hours is when I do the collages.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Well, it's time for the Bud Shoot Out on TV. One more sure sign that Spring is not too far away.

How about that snow in the mid-Atlantic? OMG! I feel for them!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Thanks Candyce.

DH is looking forward to playing in the snow tomorrow with the grandkids. He wants to build a snow cave to rival any snow cave ever. (Hope they appreciate his engineering skills)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Ohhhhhhh!
Post pictures! That'll be awesome to see! Please?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great thread!

I truly look forward to the warmth of the sun on my face and one of my very favorite things is to have coffee in the morning on the back deck. But what really gets me excited, is seeing the first green shoots coming out of the cold ground in the Spring.

This picture was taken mid April of '09 and it is the first shoots of Lady's Mantle.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Oh ya the first day you can take the coffee and do the garden walk through, with the birds singing their spring songs and the sun just rising up in the sky but the warm is already getting started for a lovely spring day. What could be better than that?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

could only be better if someone would pull the spring weeds for me!!!... but coffee in the yard is what I could count days for

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

me too.
I was walking to the mailbox and the sun does feel as tho its getting closer.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

The sun does seem a bit stronger, now. It's just not any warmer - yet.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I'll wait til after it's made. I don't want to pressure him or anything. He's going over this afternoon. hee-hee. Don't tell him I told you, but he and another engineering buddy built a big wooden box to hold something (I forget what) and ended up having to cut it in half to get it out of the basement.

Ooh, a cuppa joe on a walkabout in the garden sounds great. Maybe I'll have to cut some forsythia branches and bring them inside.
