۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞182
Good day sistahs.
Thanks for the breakfast and extra coffee Donna and LK.
Had another FIL episode last night.. sorry we weren't home to answer your call Sistah Judy. Hope all's okay with you.
Julie, I won't call it a chick flick. It's brilliantly made and I'm glad there are 'testerones' (like Kel) out there liking it too!! Lol!!
Cindy, I'm so happy you found extra fabric to do your sun dress. Hope there's plenty to do a little accessorizing. I had sent you a purse pattern too.
LK, besides your dad's stroke, being a diabetic plays double jeopardy on poor circulation too. Especially with his feet and hands. Diabetes disrupts the vascular system. And I have Diabetic Neuropathy-- but fortunate that instead of insensitivity, I'm at the other end of the spectrum. My feet can get icy cold even with socks on. Thank God I can still feel that.
And yes, he must get his feet elevated. Kel will remind me to do so every night.
Maid Marion, Audrey, Trisha.. Bon, Twyla.. hope you are all on the mend.
Audrey, glad to read you don't have to get extra fabric. Take care of that cough, or swig you some whiskey!!!
Poor you Donna!! Urrrrggghhh your poor guts!!!! Bless your heart!! Good thing you didn't end up in an emergency room. What a way for a good toxic cleaning...
(((HUGS DONNA)))
Kel and I sure wish Tristen gets her b'day cake!! Hmm.. she might want a saddle cake to go with it!
Some of you may know that Jax (Jsxtiger) sent me a pair of midget flopper stoppers.
I had posted this below on the Dish Towel Swap asking for ideas... and here are what some came up with.
The last was modelled by none other than the contributor himself.
BUT a different pic than the one on DTSwap.
1. Ear muffs (Drapelady)
2. Sling shot
3. Launch bowling balls when you have Carpel Tunnel
4. Start a craze.. use it as a hat
5. Remove all the padding, reuse them in quilts.
6. Store Bulbs (McGlory)
7. Ripen cantaloupes
8. In lieu of jock straps (FOTV)
9. Birdfeeder (JSXTiger)
10. Home for slugs (JSXTiger)
11. Kneepads (Jordankittyjo)
12. Neck Warmer (FOTV)
13. Neck Brace
14. Chin Support

Yep... look Maid M.. .still missing a tooth there!!
Susan.. Crissy.. don't that picture just make you both a l'il cheery at work?
Jaye, I have another idea for ya. How about a bowling ball carrier? LOL! Or as Elly may says, thats my double barrel slingshot!
Good one there.. yeah, we love to watch the reruns of the Beverly Hills Hillbillies. Double Barrel Slingshot!!! Lolol!!
Too big for bowling balls, but they might be perfect for golf balls.. you're right!!
Hey Jaye....how about an egg gatherer.....sling the straps over your arm and put the eggs in the "pockets" ! lol
Thank you Julie.. one with common sense. Sis Kathy will be able to gather PLENTY of eggs with her 50 triple Ds!!!
not nice to be telling my secrets sis jaye.
just got home from having my taxes done. michael is coming home tomorro3w evening to take me to the nuerosurgen friday morning.
Wishing you all the best sis. Please let us know what the neurosurgeon suggests.
Maybe surgery won't be the last solution?
no more surgery for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well in that case, if you want to help your back.... DON'T BE STUBBORN and try to carry 60# stuffs!!
You know we love you Sis. If you opt for no surgery, you might have to wear a back brace for the rest of your life.
Time for me to look decent for Kel :D He's bringing me to the 'beautimous shop'. This will be the first time for almost a year that I will get someone pro to do my hair.. the whole nine yards.. from cutting to coloring.
Wonder if she can undo the damage.....
Then we'll be off for a nice supper and crossing our fingers that his mum won't call.
See you all in a bit.
eat some for me, and have fun
Hello Ladies,
Had a graveside services to attend. Long time friend from bowling.
I just about had a hissy fit. UPS driver delivered my package to our neighbor. When I checked online this morning it said it was delivered at 3:06 p.m. to front porch. Well we do not have a front porch and when we left for bowling at 5:30 last night there was no package. Well when I left for Curves this morning I didn't see it, but then when I came home I saw it.
Jaye, I did get extra because you have to order in even yardage and I only needed 1 1/8 more, so I ordered 2. This dress is going to be my incentive to work out more to get to my ideal weight before my 55th b-day. Now if I just had a man to chase around the room, I could lose it a lot faster ^_^.
I got me a web cam today, so that Mike can see me when we chat. He is still planning on coming to Auburn, but not until April and he is going to stay for awhile so that we can get to know each other. Then I will decide if I want to travel with him. I told him that if I do, that when I want or need to be here that I will COME HOME. He said he is cool with that. He is such a cutie. Here is his pix.
Chuck is still working a lot and we chat every night for 10 or 15 min then he heads to bed. He gets up at 2:30 to go to work. Might go out this Saturday don't know for sure.
Oh fiddle sticks that pix is not good.

Oh Cindy...he is soooo cute.....and the guy walking him isn't bad either! just joking sweety...he looks like he has a nice body...the copyright is on his face.
LOL, yes Louis is cute isn't he.Yea I know the copyright is on his face. Yes Mike does have a slender build. I'll see if I can't get a better pix.
Had my permanent tooth put in this morning, now it makes the other one look bad. At the price I think that may be a long ways down the road. Need my teeth cleaned too, at least this dentist isn't pushy like the others I have gone to.
No rain came our way and looks like we will have some nice sunny days for a while. I should get out and do yard work, but I feel so lazy. Could use a nice long nap. I see DH is out there moving some things around, well just moves junk from one place to another. Just wish I wasn't so addicted to facebook. I'm getting a lot of exercise moving around my farms no wonder my little gal is slender.
My son had asked me if I wanted a web cam, but don't think that is a good idea. Don't want anyone to see what I look like sitting here in my jammies a lot of the time.
I literally have to have only one window open at a time or I get lost on Dave's and FB all the time....So I made a promise to myself that I get to play on FB as long as my other work is done but not before.....as for Dave's Garden? Well, as far as I am concerned, it is research! I am studying to become a botanist and make millions! ***hey it's my lie...go find your own!*** lol
Louis is too too adorable!!! So is his human!! Now Cindy, you got to find us a better picture!
Pegi, I agree with you, a webcam is just too intrusive!!! I'm always happy in my pjs too.
My family asked why I stopped using the webcam, and I told them it takes too much time to clean myself up plus tidy the area exposed to the cam.
At the hair salon today, we were chatting with 12 year old kids who are addicted to Farmville!!!! Parents thought that was cute as long as it's not school night. Don't think their farms would flourish if they only play once a week ;)
Best place for you to polish up on botany, Julie! Nice to pick up friends while you're studying ;)
I had to take a Darvocet an hour ago. So, I'll bid you all a good night..
Love you all!
Night everyone. Get a good nights sleep!
Miss Jaye, prayers going out to you tonight. Hope you are feeling better when you wake.
And yes, turning out to be some very dear friends showing up for my botany classes. Can't beat that!
Thank you all for welcoming me so warmly. But I hear that is what makes this community work so well, everyone's love for each other and the compassion to accept and understand what every one is going through at any given time.
HELLO all, rough day to day hollered at me ranting.. oh well. life goes on..lol. went got few groceries as suppose to have another ice storm and lots snow on top ,I'm hoping not. goingt to be really cold to.
Everyone take care.. happiness...
Jaye , thats why i put Faith at bottom of my post befrore this one. Our Faith is with him..
LOL, I talked on the phone with Mike. I was having problems with my web cam and he helped me. Let me see if I can get a better pix of him. I've asked him to take a pix of himself and email me. I think he has CRS too, lol.
Nice picture Cindy..nice bike too!
These are so Beautiful and calming,I love to watch and listen to them. They can put your mind in a whole other place.......... http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1313721157215&ref=mf

Interesting group of people on here....been spending some time reading alot of the boards and seeing mules and pea fowl.....carnivorous plants in aquariums....collections of old jars....lots of great recipes.....cake decorating.....geez...this place is better than the mall at Christmas.......and I only got through a third of it........You are all an amazing group of people...in case no one has told you lately!
I tried telling you that a long time ago........silly.
Morning everyone. Who has the coffee? Really need some badly this morning as my bod just didn't want to get up. Sun is out but it is a little chilly so I am not complaining. Rains is predicted by the weekend--I will complain then.
Hope everyone is doing well this morning!!!
Morning everyone! Coffee is on! Come and get it!
Holding out my cup.
With or with out the Bailey's today?
Darn.. just give me the whole bottle!!!
With, that is if there is any left after Jaye finishes with it!! Everything I start today seems to have a problem with it--that will change I am sure.
Don't worry Marion, there is plenty to go around. I am having one of those days also. My home desktop computer is not working, so I got the laptop out. It is working slowly, but it is working.
Maid M.. there's still some for you. I think I'm gonna uncork that vintage Cabernet :(
You too LK?
Since this morning it looks like anything that can go wrong, will.
Breakfast tested our patience. New waitress returned 3 X to confirm our orders, and mind you, it was all written down. Painful minutes later we heard the bell rung too often.. and you guess it.. our breakfast was served lukewarm..
Then we headed to the local WM.
I found out TOO LATE that all the fabrics were 50% off. The favorite VIP prints were gone. No more fabric department. Managed to get a bolt of a one way design rooster print.. hmm.. placemats?
The most frightening thing was we could almost lost Lola!
Lola always accompany us on our trips and will wait in the truck when we're in the stores.
But when we got home..Kel was in a rush to use the bathroom , and left me to haul our purchases back to the house and I didn't pay any attention to Lola, locking the door behind me.
Moments later we realised she's been missing, Kel looked for her-- poor pup was sitting by the box truck which was parked down the dirt road outside of our property, and not by the regular truck which we drove in and was parked in the yard!
Now what if a passing hunter or a farmer had picked her up?
I cried for an hour!!!
My wants to do a block is gone.. as now I have NEW pains. Pain in the back of the right thigh, the right knee and the right foot. Hmmm..
think that Cabernet will help if boosted by a painkiller?
Tonight we're supposed to do another run.. think I'll just spend the next few hours in bed with one of those Chicken Soup books... maybe put myself in better spirits.
Thanks Jaye, things finally got sorted out here so I don't need any after all. I guess I just didn't have my mind on what I was doing this morning.
I am hoping to work on some of by quilt block tonight but there again, that remains to be seen.
Sun is out and it is beautiful today!!!
Take care of the pain.
Waving to everyone.
Trying to get myself moving around, another one of those days. I just have too many of them and so much to do. I missed my weekly outing to thrift store and I think that is what put a damper on my week. Neither one of us felt up to par and I just know I missed something good. LOL
A few months back I found a chicken soup for the soul cookbook, at the thrift store of course for less than $1, and never sat down to look at it. One of those put it on the shelf until later. 101 stories with recipes from the heart. Just glancing through it now there are some yummy recipes. I often wonder why people give away books like this, but if they didn't I wouldn't have a chance to buy it.
I watched that video, Synda, so peaceful, so beautiful.
i'm taking a v5 minute break. went grocery shopping, got spaghetti sauce simmering, dusted the whole house, did laundry, changed the bed, and threw a lot of junk out.
