Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

they were a few weeks ago.. I cut the spent ones off now... but they are still alive

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

taller.. the normal 2 foot... that photo was when I bought them in spring last year.. but I know in the past I lost so many AGs... figured it was worth a shot bringing them in... they were already potted up

It says there are hardy to z5 but they don't last thru the winter for you? Wonder why?

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Beautiful lily Luvs. I miss their fragrance in the air.
JoAnn another really nice combo of plants.
Keeping their feet dry is the biggest thing with those western agastache I think. They sure are pretty.
Pixie that DL is really bright and sunny just like a sunrise. Don't think we will see one today so very nice choice of pic to share.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I did plant one out last spring in the garden Pixie.. will have to wait & see what happens.. the ones I planted in fall in the past didn't make it.. even though they call me zone 6.. I swear I push 5.. esp last year

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

ngam is right they like it a it dry.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I hear you on the zone, they say we are a 5a but we border on 4b some winters.

Pat I was thinking british morning's are rainy more often than not so this one would be appropriate but i like your thinking better!!!

Another MG (i didn't post yesterday Victor^_^)

Nice blue color. Gorgeous MG.
Here is a lily, not sure but I think it is 'Conca d' Or'. Anyone know for sure?

Not positive but it sure is pretty! Wish I could smell it. ^_^

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Looks like mine.Its anyones guess.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Thanks, yes it is a stinker. Can't wait to get those new ones from Faraway. I think I have had spring fever since the first snowflake fell. This thread helps a lot.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

It does look like Conca d'Or. I agree with you, Pat, and also can't wait for my order from Faraway Flowers. The bulbs are so big and healthy and Ramona is such a nice person and so helpful.

Lovely shades of green!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Nice bonus Bill. They certainly look very happy there. I have a patch of my own, they don't flower but still spread out in an effort to take over the world. I love the soft leaves and silver green color on them, have to pat them when you walk by.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice agastache, Allison. Love the smell of them and they are so easy.

Nice assortment, Jo. (See - you ran out of plants by not following the rules! ^_^)

Beautiful DL, Celeste. Great shades.

Nice backlighting on that lily, Pat.

Great foliage combo, Pirl.

Nice wide shot, Bill.

I'll stick with another combo.

i have another batch pat that i bought!! that doesn't flower either - it is a dry area so i've always thought that was the reason

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

There are some that do not bloom and some that bloom very occasionally. Mine is 'Helen von Stein' and has never bloomed in the eight or so years here. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/38357/

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Great shots everyone, nice combo Victor!

I'm going with a red hydrangea today, (to warm me up because it's so cold outside! lol!)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

my purchased bunch bloomed only the first year - thought they would when i dug up the whole bed and amended the soil and cut out all the tree roots from the first few feet of soil - nada

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

nice wc - do you do anything to the soil to keep them red?

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Lovely pink combo Victor. The different flower shapes really look good together.
WC that is beautiful. Wonderful lighting as usual and what color, very nice.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks. Great lighting and great shade, WC. My combo actually looks like a closer 'match' in person.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

we inherited Lambsears that have grown into the lawn over the black plastic landscapers edging. Its in DD's garden so I cant do anything about it. She even leaves the blossoms. Yes she knows better.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

they can be aggressive - i yank a lot of them out and find babies all over the yard that get weeded out. they do have some impressive root systems

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Thanks everyone, no I haven't done anything to the soil wha, I bought them a few years ago I think maybe the shade has something to do with it and maybe the tree that is under (Juniper), guess it must be getting the right ph in the rain, maybe...

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Pretty colors in the combo shot. Love the red Hydrangia!

Petunias are one of my favorites

Love the new plants, JoAnn
Victor, nice pink combo
That is a pretty petunia.

Warners, NY

Raining, January thaw and will put on poncho and freeze my whatsis to see what is going on in the garden. Can see iris reticulata tips from the porch but I don't know if they will bloom again., tried them once and they went to leaves, this batch bloomed last year and the year before so may bloom again. No sign of species tulips, must check the snow drops!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Speaking of hydranges. I have Pinky Winky and want to know if anyone has it ?Do you trim it?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i have it and have not trimmed it yet - two years in the ground
