Fuji no Monet NOT. This was supposed to be Fuji no Monet, but did not produce the white spokes. Apparently it reverted back to a solid purple bloom. Large blooms and a lovely vine despite it NOT being the elusive Fuji no Monet.

Mutant Blue Needle Leaf Nanding. I have no idea why it has this name. LOL!

Joyce Cobb I. purpurea. This species will produce lots of seeds and can throw mutant blooms of solid white from it's seeds. So no telling what you will get!

Rebecca I. purpurea. This vine will produce this color of blooms as well as some with more pink/reddish colors. Very beautiful vine!!! But again ... a big seed producer. Be careful where you plant any of the I. purpureas as they will produce lots of volunteers!

Cardinal Climber. I couldn't find any of my photos from 2007. So here is the PlantFile link:
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/662/

Indigo Feathers is a multi-split petal I. purpurea. It can also go by the name of Indigo Hige or Purple Hige. It will produce split and complete petal blooms.

Deb and Phyllis - Gorgeous blooms on your vines! Thanks for sharing a photo of what your seeds may produce! :-)

BTW - Some of my seeds are from 2008 and 2007. Though those seeds are a couple of years old, they should still be viable for many more years to come, if stored properly. MG seeds will remain good for years! :-)

Wow! They are all so beautiful!!! I just got through making labels with photo for all of Becky's seeds. I am especially excited about the Indigo Feathers and the Keiryu. I love the Cardinal Climbers. I managed to snag a few seeds at the local nursery last year. I think their leaves are so pretty.

I've quickly scanned through the many exciting seeds. Can not wait to look through all of them. It's going to take me a while....

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Nicole - Keiryu can also produce blooms like this one on the same vine, as did mine. :-)

Good luck with all of them! :-)

OK. thanks for the warning. I posted both photos on my label, so i won't be confuse. You know how sometime you think you will remember something and then 3 months later, you're going 'what?'

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Nicole - Let me warn you further ... any of the seeds I sent to everyone could be crosses from the bees, hummingbirds, butterflies, or ... me! LOL! So just be aware that there is a possibility that any of the vines may not have blooms that look like my photos! :-) But most probably will!

I decided to check to see whose envies were delivered today ...

All were delivered today except to Helena and Marie. A notice was left at Ronnie's home to pick hers up at the USPS. Apparently she wasn't home and they wouldn't leave it. So ... hopefully we will hear from everyone else to confirm this! Helena and Marie should get theirs on Monday! (I hope.) Makes no sense why they would make it all the way across the country to CA, but not make it to MS or SC. And I am sure that Eliz hasn't received hers yet either since she is in Canada. Fingers crossed that if you didn't get them today, you will next week. :-) I truly hope none of the envies take several weeks to receive. It does happen and I have NO idea why! The USPS service drives me nuts! :-/

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

Ok. no problem. All my seeds are open pollination too, but here are some photos.

Well, if haven't see my pink no id, warning, it's invasive!!! Both of my seeds packets have photos on them.

Here are the other seeds. It's a Japanese MG, large flowers, very pretty. Oh, it should be the purple one on the bottom of this photo. I believe it's Akatsu no Murasaki. The seeds I sent you would already have a label with photo on it.

Nicole - Pretty blooms! If you lose your labels, you can always come back to this thread to see what you planted. :-) Your pink no id looks like an I. purpurea vine? And the other (purple) one looks like an I. nil? What was the label on that one?

Debra - Beautiful blooms, too! I am wondering if you would mind going back and editing your first 3 photos and adding the species/cultivar name. (I know you were tired when posting them.) That way everyone will know what seed pack they are in. I know the first one is Setosa (Brazilian MG) which is such a cool vine! :-) You shared a really nice assortment of seeds/vines! :-)

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

i love all the blooms, i love the moonvine seed and am so glad I got some more to plant. You girls
are real (oops!) TREASURES in yourself. The blooms of these flowers are so beautiful, You all are Great!

Charleen - "treasons" ??? Did you mean "treasures"? LOL! LOL LOL!

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I need spell check.. OM goodness. I am a mess .
I am so sorry.LOL
Yes, Treasures, for sure.
I should edit it, huh???

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Do you think??? LOL LOL LOL You sure made me laugh when I read that! LOL! Yeah, they do need an automatic spell check on DG. :-)

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I corrected it. don't want to be chased off .
This is looking out my front door. It is a mes. Haven't got the old vines
off yet, but they will be removed for Spring. Got to man MG not too☺
It is sort of foggy and cool, but a beautiful day. It is 50 degrees.

Charleen - This is sad for me to say, but ...

I'm south of you and your yard looks better than mine!!! That killing freeze we had for a week sure made Florida look awful! And unfortunately, many folks here grow tropicals (well duh!) and we probably lost many of those plants. It looks like I may have a clean slate in my yard again. (sigh)

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

BTW - What is that plant you have growing up your arbor? Looks nice even half gone. :-) I like all your garden art! Very cute! That's what I need to add to my yard too. More whimsical stuff. :-) You'll have to share a photo come spring/summer so we can see just how beautiful that garden area is when green and in bloom. :-)

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

The vine is a clematis, I am trying to get out of there. Part of it is The Autumn blooming one. It has a cinnamonie spell. It pops up everywhere. The longears don't even eat it. What a piece of the clematis? Can't tell you what it is. It has bee there a long time. That little shrub arching over the side walk is a St. John's Wort, has yellow blooms.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Charleen - I have been warned about Sweet Autumn Clematis. I currently have two growing in pots that I LOVE!!! I have plans for them to grow up a pergola that I hope to build in the near future. They are one of the very few things still green in my yard. They bloomed for me this year and what a treat! But I have heard that the seeds will pop up everywhere! LOL! Good luck here. I have very few volunteers in my yard every year because of the nematodes. So I think the SAC will do just fine here! :-) I love how lush it appears on your arbor. That's exactly the look I want here. :-)

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Here is my trail to the woods.
I read that if you planted Marigolds, it will help get rid of the nematodes in your soil.
It wouldn't hurt to try.
The clematis is beautiful but just pops up everywhere. Just pull up the babies when you see them.

Hey! That's not fair! You still have some green grass! LOL! Mine is brown, brown, brown...

You have some nice property there, Charleen! I wished I had a bigger piece of land! :-)

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I guess it is the rain still not enough grass for 4 hungry Longears. Have to buy them hay.
But I love it here.
There is no flowers in this one, but that treeover by the ladder is my Persimmon tree. It has some
very nice persimmons on it. There are hardwoods and pines, cedars in the wods. I'll have to get you some pic.
I don't want to take away from the Beautiful Morning glories.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Hey! start a new Charleen's garden thread! :-)

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Do you think I would get any viewers??
I may do that; but it will be better when
Things get to growing again, don't you think???

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Oh! I would certainly look at any thread you started! You could post your winter photos now and then add the spring/summer photos to it during this new year. :-) Debra and I both have threads about our gardens. I don't see why you couldn't do one too! :-) I like seeing all kinds of plants, not just MGs. So I'd definitely be interested. :-)

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

sounds like something I need to do ,doesn't it?
I know I enjoy looking at your and Debra's pic.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Go for it, Charleen! :-)

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

oh, I have some SAC too. Love their fragrance. This is my 2nd summer with them. And I too have been warned about them, but I have New Dawn on one side, it's a house eater, so they'll both have to duke it out. But my arbor is pretty big, so it should be able to hold both.

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

the sign is right to plant today
but don't want to plant too early.
Aren't those blooms gorgeous??? I love them.

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

we have lots of rain today and it's expected to get cold again the next few days. very windy tomorrow and Tuesday. I am going to start a few MG's today. Last year, I just plant them straight into a container, but I'm thinking for a few of these 'valuable' seeds. I'm going to start them in styrefoam cups and then transplant 'em.

Cumberland Mtns, TN(Zone 6b)

happy sunday! i was wondering, I keep seeing 'moonvine'. is that the same as moonflower? it blooms at night and has big white flowers? also, i looked up my pink climber and its called Phyllis Bide. haha its got good initials =)

be back later....I sold my old car!! only its raining and now I have to go empty all my stuff, etc. , find the title. woooohoooo my neice's boyfriend asked me to hold it for him and i just KNEW he was going to back out because he hadn't mentioned it in months and months.

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

That's those nice fat seeds you got.
They are larger than Reg. MG, but so pretty when they bloom, nannie.
This is going to be great. I have one set of moonvine planted. Just waiting for them to come up.
They are in peat pots. I don't like peat pots, I am going to tear ogg tat neeting when I repot them. That is what I don't like. The netting. I think it restricts the roots from growing.
