Gypsies have tools...will renovate

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good Morning Everyone.

Smiley, that is just too cute....I could have a pocket full of them....grin. Thanks so much for that.

Have a great day....raining here but warm....66 degrees.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Morning

What a night, DH got out generator all hooked up and power came on.
So he put it back in garage and power went off. Finally got everything going. Power came back on about 11.

No school today, not sure if I can get to work or not.

Such cute pictures everyone.

Dronfield, United Kingdom

Smiley,what a coincidence,that I log on during my lunchtime and see your photo of such a tiny new hatchling,Theodore says aaaahhhh:}
It's incredible that tortoises/turtles,hatch and can walk and eat the same stuff they'll eat all their lives,straight away.They're on their own too,unless they find a human Mummy,like T did.
Here's a pony for you,to say thanks for picture:}
Have a good day everyone,already 1.15pm here,how time does fly!!!

What I wouldn't give for 66°....
32° here so not real bad maybe the ice will melt

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Joy, Hi JJ. Hope things straighten out soon JJ. I think winter should only be allowed to happen in Dec and Jan, and then be over...grin

Pretty pony, Joy. Isn't that babyT just awesome? But then i have an affinity for turtles, frogs and lizards....grin

Dronfield, United Kingdom

Hi Moon and JJ,36f here and we've had a wintery sun out this am.Rain fore cast tomorrow,though.
Moon,I too love Reptiles and Amphibians,but,well,I do love most creatures.I'd like a lizard for a pet,but having to feed them live food puts me off keeping one.I've heard the singing Crickets in the pet shop and I know I couldn't send them to a certain death in a Gecko's[or anything's]cage:}
I've had lunch break now,so had better see what's to do.
Have a good PM all of you,
Back later
Joy

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I think that's even to long. Just a light dusting on ground in Dec. and should be gone by Jan. Then never get any lower than 50°.

Guess I should live in the South somewhere...lol

I will catch you later...need to see if I can get to work
Think if I can get car doors open and to the main road it will be OK.

Enjoy your day all

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Enjoy your day Ladies....be careful, JJ

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Add some vanilla to that paint can, Flowers! It will make the paint smell a little less icky.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Smiley.....How's your day going?

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Afternoon Made it to work and back. Main roads were fine but side roads are bad as are sidewalks. Almost has to crawl up to one house it was solid ice all the way to the door. sigh

Lord you are a good woman, JJ. Think I would have had to say NO. That looks so miserably cold to me. Glad you are home safe. We need to send you some hot air.....think there may be a bit of that with the Zoo-fari later.....have a warmer afternoon, Dear.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Its not actually as cold as it looks today. The air is above freezing but the concrete is not...so hard to thaw anything on the ground ice on trees melt and freeze when hits the ground.

Oh, JJ, that looks awful in your photos so it must be even worse than it looks! I know you will be careful out there and not take any risky chances.

The only time I remember experiencing it that bad was when I was in my twenties. I had to go down a hill, but not too steep, and it was about a mile long. I skidded and slided all the way! Can be really scarry. I guess other than that when there was ice, I was not on the roads.

Since I was having such a bad problem going to sleep, not until 5:00 or so, I decided to go to bed late at 2:00 and then I didn't get up until 11:00. I woke up at 7:30 when the school bus went by and I feel so sorry for the kids having to stand out not only in the cold rainy weather but also when it is so dark. I heard kitty at 10:00 then she came and woke me up at 11:00. So I had a pretty good sleep that I have had in a long while. Kitty wakes me up with little meows and she bites my arm, just a couple of love bites to wake me up.

I am not shaking as bad today but still shaking. I think it takes a lot out of me. I feel so sorry with people with Parkinson.

Can't wait for out zoo-fari!

Later!

Dronfield, United Kingdom

Venice,my Dad suffers from Parkinson's,you're right it's a really horrible illness.I hope very much that you're soon back to good health again:}
I guess your cat wakes you up when she thinks it's her breakfast time:}
JJ,that ice looks bad.We had it very icy here for a while,up until end of last week.The snow wasn't deep,but when it froze,it was scary!!!There were pictures on my local news programme of several people crawling across a steep road,as their footwear could'nt grip,neither could vehicles either.....dangerous!!!
Flowers,I'll look forward to catching up with your Zoo trip tomorrow,as it's 9pm here and I've a few things to do before I settle down for evening:}
Hope you all enjoy yourselves....and have a good evening
Take care
Joy

I'm here ready to play my zoo fari friends, standing by to see who is gonna show up. Ok heres the deal. We are all lined up at the starting gate and on my count down will race through the zoo. We all have three sticky flags to tag celebrity cartoon animals when we see them, the one that uses up their tags first wins a year of Big Wheel washing at Gypsies house of their choice. The rules are : There are none. Just have fun and document what you see and do on the way. We will have 30 minutes to cover 500 acres with a 10 minute picnic. Rev your engines Gypsies! Got your safari hats, anckle boots and long cargo shorts with T shirts on with Gipsie logo on the back. Make us proud!
