Betty the pics are WONDERFUL and, I am SO glad you went on the outting !!!
There was a time when we all ice fished here, but, never ever did have a 'hut' .. which is probably why it didn't last !!!
Linda, if you'd like I can send you an invite. I did join , but, as with many (if not most of us here) I am sorely lagging with posts to that site .. I find this Daves easier to navigate as I am familiar with it .. with me, it's the 'change' thing .. if I can stay where I'm comfortable, know everyone and it has remained the same , re format, then I will likely only go to have a peek.
The service for Tim (Lorna's boss) was absolutely fabulous. Largely attended and extremely well done. The crowning glory was the singing of 'Halleluliah' (sp) (a la Lenard Cohen/KD Lang) by Tim's 2 nephews .. both about 25. One is a singer and the other plays an acoustic guitar .. there was nary a dry eye in the crowd .. it was BEAUTIFULLY done.
Lorna had a hardtime with the whole thing, but, at the reception afterwards she was treated like a Queen .. so, all in all a good day.
Today is 'catch up day' re housework etc. The weather has been incredible here. +7c daily, or more .. sun, sun, sun !!!
Probably watch some of the Olympics as well.
Take care everyone

What's Happening in your neck of the woods? Friends...
Glad I went to the site it IS changing , and, for the better. There is more 'definition' to the site now .. mayhaps even a bit EASIER to navigate around in .. my only excuse not to go more often is .. time .. I was convinced I'd have LOTS more of it when I retired .. NOT !!!!!

I lurk, but no time to say much except: the days are getting longer, and winter is getting shorter:) Hang in there everybody, we will soon be digging in the dirt!
that we will...have the front door open, omg what sunshine filtering through the screen door...as I sit to do the edging of my lap quilt by hand, I'm seeing so many people with strollers, people walking dogs out this morning..everyone is taking advantage of the sunshine...
Hope you are as well....
