My dad's had it for over 20 years. Perfectly under control with the drops.
That's Entertainment!!
Get a second opinion--now. Don't wait for this other Dr to "figure out" what is going on or what to do. This is your sight at risk--If the second opinion is the same as the first, try a third, or, perhaps by then, someone will have a clue. At least get a second opinion--your sight is worth the $$$.
That's great Victor! If you start before it's too late you have a better chance! My DW just got her exam last mo., everything ok. so far her mom only one of family that has it, but she waited too long to get treated when it started, I don't even think she knew she had it until it was too late.
Yes, I would not wait.
i second the second opinion suggestion
I third it.
I would not wait another day.
neither would i - had a second opinion on my knee that was 180 degrees different than the first and glad i did - an eye is more important than a painful but still functioning knee
I'd go to an ophthalmologist I haven't seen, not affiliated with the hospital, some of those places that sell eye glasses have ophthalmologists on staff and I found most of them to be very good.
My SIL found out she had cancer of the pituitary gland from one of those exams when she went to get her glasses.
Avatar making people depressed.

give me a break
Yeah, really. In these times, who needs a movie to get depressed?!
What a bunch of losers. IT'S A MOVIE!! YOU FREAKS!!!!
Tell 'em, Jen!
This is a great video - only 1 mins 44 seconds.
As of this moment my eye is feeling like a 1/2 of a new eye! The drops he gave me must be working. Its feeling much better. Good grief I am not sentimental person but have to admit I was a true pussy. Especially having him proding at my eye with things. I think i was so screwed up in his office I dont remember 1/2 of what went on. I read the paper today and he has me as Glaucoma - Open Angle.

They should make an Avatarland were people dress up like Avatar people so they won't be depressed.
- hope everything turns out well!
glad your feeling better sherri - i would still get another opinion - doctors are like auto mechanics, there is a lot of trial and error and some are better than others
I think 'pussy' is only allowed on the cats vs. dog thread!
Cool video Sherri! I put it on my facebook profile page. And a 2nd opinion would still be a good idea, but I'm glad you are feeling much better! ^_^
It must be her new eye meds talking, Victor! LOL!
Sherrie, take care of that eye! Hoping you get this resolved.
Avatar depressing? Maybe those people need to get active in their lives, which are probably the real cause of their depression. I think the Earth is a very beautiful place if you just look. Think about it. "Pandora" was concieved and made right here on Earth in someone's imagination. Anything is possible.
That makes a lot of sense Sofonisba.
WC--thats a good idea about an Avatarland people can visit. Maybe they should buy the video game:-)
Wonderful video Sherrie! Glad you are feeling better.
I liked the video!!
I saw the video ad and it does look way cool.
Great video Sherrie, I hope it comes true.
American Beauty is one of my all time favorite movies and Kevin Spacey's best, although he was great in The Usual Suspects too. How bout March of the Penguins as the most captivating documentary?
I'm going to have to make it a point to go see Avatar in the 3-D theater!
I have to retract my statement about American Beauty, I was thinking of American Pie, which had a sequel.
Yes! The Usual Suspects is one of my favorites, but anything Spacey is in, works for me, even K-Pax, and especially The Shipping News.
March of the Penquins was one of the better docs, but then anything Morgan Freeman narrates is a hit.
Yeah, Kevin Spacey is great in that movie. Well, it's hard to think of a movie he's not great in. March of the Penguins? Yes, it was captivating, almost too painful to watch. Anybody see Farce of the Penguins?
You'll love Avatar Louise!
I've seen the second half of The Shipping News twice which is not the same as seeing all of it once. Liked what I did get to see. Where did he go anyway?? I miss him.
Haven't seen Farce of the Penguins. Is it satire?
Loved Usual Suspects. Great movie. Anyone see Spacey as Bobby Darin?
No, but I second that about usual suspects, love those types of movies, like film noir and stuff!
Absolutely! My favorite genre.
LA Confidential, another great one he was in.
What is it about Morgan Freeman's voice?? It's like silk slipping against skin.
Yes - great voice.
Mmmm, love Morgan Freeman. It's not just his voice for me.
Yes, Farce of the Penguins is a satire.
I'd rather hear that Gillette girl they used to have in between the boxing matches when I was a kid, you know, the one that said take if off... take it all off! Weeeee! (lol!)
Never saw 'Farce of the Penguins' sounds too intellectual, not enough 'spacial energy' to really get lost in...
LA Confidential was really good.
How about Seven?
When we used to see grown up films....Face Off was a real good one, I like Nicholas Cage.
Seven gave me nightmares!
I don't get it. How can visualizing a Utopian existence or shangri la be depressing? To me, it should be uplifting, something to hope for, and a wish for mankind. Not every scenario has to end as the old Twilight Zone, "To Serve Man", or as Sir Aurthur C Clarke's, "Childhood's End".
What is depressing is that most of our technological breakthroughs have been in the pursuit of wars and the intolerance to difference, which drives them. Ric
Shawshank Redemption for lots of Morgan. Arlington Road for lots of Tim Robbins and Jeff Bridges. Isn't there some kind of game that links actors through their movies?
It's been decades since I read Childhood's End. I need to read it again, great book.
