Oops, Marlon Brando parodied himself in Freshman. Penn was classic in Fast Times!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes to both!

Brando was very good in his first film role - as a returning vet who was paralyzed. Called The Men.

Godfather 3 was horrible!!!

Robert Duval has a survival plan for his career. He doesnt get into the Hollywood scene and yet he is still working.
Some other actors who live lives of relative sanity are
Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick
Ed Harris and Amy Madigen
I love The Actors Studio and have seen interviews with Ed Harris and Kevin Bacon both live elswhere and keep away from the Hollywood scene as much as possible.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

I love the Actors Studio too.

I like to listen to any creative person ,talk about their process.

I hadnt thought about it like that, but now that you say that, I think thats why I nerd out on the Book TV channel too, to hear authors talk about their work. There use to be a series on PBS called Masters something, cant remember, about different craftsman and their creations, like glassblowers and woodcarvers. It was great!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I liked the Masters series too.
