Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

That video was only $2.99 to make and download to my PC and now I can burn as many copies as I want. And you can make your video up to 3 songs long.I thought it was a good deal.

Dellroy, OH(Zone 6b)

Yes loved the video....wondered where the purple sleeper was though??? I don't think he'd find it amusing!.....You should make one of those with your mom....she'd yell but I think it would do you some good.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Synda I really loved your video. That is a priceless gift. I should look at a video my sister made years ago, using VCR didn't have the easy way, starting out with my maternal grandparents and adding my mom, us 4 kids and our kids. We had to loan her pictures so she could do it. Turned out great and something I will always have.

Sorry girls, the temp. here was 74 and I had to go out and soak up some sun, they say it is going to cool way down next week with some rain. This weather is not normal for Jan., but I'm not complaining. Just wish I could store up the heat for later on. You all be safe out there and Faith better not climb that tree again.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Not so bad a ball game!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks Pegi,
I Want to soak up some sun !!!!!!!!!!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Well Ryan just left........I took a half a xanax,I'm a total basket case !!!!!!!!! All I can say is God PLEASE be with him !!!!!!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

This will be depressing, but I have to tell someone & my husband just shuts this kind of thing out...

Sitting here thinking about my sister Alice, has lung cancer, and is scheduled for her third surgery on Jan 18th... she's had it for 11 years. Started out being one of only 5 people in Canada to have it, so no meds available. Got them through the states, for $2k per month. No one would pay for it through any Health programs cuz it wasn't recognized in Canada. She's off that med now, and taking regular ones.

Sorry to be a "downer" today - I'm worried about her - she's so tired and this will take alot out of her, I know. She's 67, and lives a healthy lifestyle, but at this point she can't walk on a windy day, and can't walk and talk at the same time because of her decreased lung power from the other 2 operations.

talk to you later.

Susan

Raleigh, NC

Morning all! on my way to class - this will make 5 days of classes this week, so my first week's goal will be met!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

thank you Synda
((((((((((Synda))))))))))

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Ryand and Alice are in my prayers today for health and safety. I will keep them close...

Jaye, did I sign up for the lap quilt swap? I thought I did. If I was lurking that day, I hope it's not too late. Hope Kel is doing better and that everyone is finding ways to stay warm.
I hate to admit it but I guess I've had my head somewhere it doesn't belong. I completely forgot that most of you don't have a heating furnace and need creative ways to stay warm . Sending prayers that this cold snap breaks soon for all of you...

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thanks Barb.

I hope I'm on the Lap Quilt list ^_^

Susan

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

Susan,
My prayers and good thoughts are with you and your sister.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

(((((( hugs Susan)))))))

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Afternoon everyone. I am home from the hopsital and full of demerol, and feel no pain. She said it will take maybe a week for the steroids to work, so pray it works and removes all the pain?
Sending thoughts and prayers for your Sister Susan!
Sending hugs to Synda. He will be fine, but letting go of your baby is hard to do!
Barb, have you seen the fat quarter link above?
Well, too many typos fixed already, so I will be back when the drugs wear off!
Later
LK

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

((((Susan))))) keeping you and your sister in our prayers. Bring your thoughts and worries here any time...that is what we are her for.

Today is low forties and rain rain rain........

Finally got our leaky faucets repaired ...... and as soon as I can go out to Costco and pick up one of the new Dual Flush Water Conserving Toilet Units Tom will put it in for me. (of course I am paying for an upgrade to their property so they will install it for me for free). I get the leak fixed, get new fixtures and such, I may have to break down and paint in there....will be like a completely new room!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

LK, many Tand P's going out to you. Hope this takes care of all the pain.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone!!

Sistahs, I just got a dmail from another sistah asking for all the prayer warriors here to please pray for her.
It was a specific prayer that she can share only with me and the Lord, so when you do petition to the Lord, He who knows everything, will certainly know what was asked.

Let's call her Sistah Z-

Don't do any jigs now LK. Take it easy and let the meds slowly work for you. Pretty soon, you'll be walking like a teenager.. more bounce in your steps.

(((((((Susan))))))))) we're here holding you. Your worries, our worries too. We'll be praying for Alice's surgery and peace of mind for you and her family.

Kim, that's too funny!!!! Perfect wine rack!!!
I'm glad you're not out there working in this cold. Enjoy your vacation and take lots of pics! And tell Susan to come out of her darn shell!!!

Some of you should be getting your fabric today. Barb, I hope that includes you too.

Mary, (Marti001) would you like to join in? Don't have to send anything out. Use the fabric in your own design, your own lap quilt.

Audrey and Cindy, you both can also say yes. No gimmicks here.

I haven't mail out Susan's, Donna's and Nichole's. Need to find the right box for Susan. While Donna and Nichole, being new to quilting, I'll be sending extras.

New toilet... ahhh.. bliss on earth.. Trisha. That's what Kel would say, as he spends the most time in there with his magazines!

We missed the snow here!!! Hambone was so happy to be out of Kel's shed. Kel said he went straight for his buried porkchop outside!

If you're not a football fan, skip this paragraph!
Errr... I admit I called Sis Kathy at 11 after the game to utter those dreaded words... "Saban Nation". Had promised her that if Alabama won, I'll be a sport and admit he's good.
Well, Sis, he did get a good Gatorade bath!!!!
Best part of the game was the "Shovel/Shuffle Pass" which turned into a majestic interception and great Darius' quite graceful touchdown!!
Yeah.. how about those that complain SEC ain't a powerhouse?? 4 years in a row NFC!!!!!!
Geaux SEC!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Sis Jaye, you are a good sport, and a great sister!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Amen! :o)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Did I say that?????????? Errrr... must have a twin I don't know of!!!!!
Lolol... sorry I woke you up Sis Kathy!!

Hey Cookie!! Feeling some warmth yet?

Marion.. oh Marion... don't bury yourself in paperwork.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

hey sissy, little sissy went to the vet after we spoke. she had a piece of bone or something working it's way out of her leg. she got a shot and some pain pills, and he said she should be fine in a day or 2.
went to 4 different sporting stores to get my new shirt, but they were all sold out of the ones bama wore last nite in the locker room. they all have deliveries coming later today. but i did get me a hat

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Prayers going out Jaye...

....and while we are in Prayer mode please keep Laura in your prayers! I take her to Seattle on Monday morning for a job interview!!! They so desperately need the extra income and this job would be perfect for her as she could work from home and still be available for Sage!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

i was awake, but in bed because my back said it had enough

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Trisha, prayers have been going up for Laura daily. Kept praying for it to be answered asap... and then I kept reminding myself, He will do the best for us, according to His will and His time.
So I'll continue to pray, what's best for Laura. One can hope, this is it!

Sis take care of that back. You're being smart there.
I'm getting a cap for Kel. He was proud of 'Bama too.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh sorry, I am not buried in paperwork, I am snuggled under me "Kivvers" trying to stay warm!!! If this continues I might have to move to Florida--wait! I am suppose to be there already. Kim said there was sleet when she left for work this morning but it disappeared quickly. Did see another deer and had a moment of panic. Shucks, I was hoping for venison.

I just had the most wonderful bright spot in my day. I was looking at the back window at the lake and noticed this bright pink object--a perfect pink bud on my Knock out rose!! I can not believe this cold for the past few days hadn't set it back. Looked further and have a small yellow tea rose in bloom also. Promise of spring.

LK take it easy and don't overdo i. You too Kathy!! When the back says "enough" then listen to it.

Jaye, remember prayers for Lady Z. Susan have your sister on the list also.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

marion, all my roses are loving this cold. i had daffodills coming up 3 weeks ago. i hope they don't die. we didn't get snow accumulation, but got some freezing rain which is worse. still bitter cold here.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Hoping you all warm up soon!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I just was talking with a nurseryman who is a vendor at the festival. I told him about my roses and he said this was great for them--kills all the bugs. He said roses are tougher than most people think. I certainly fall in the category!! It was a wonderful bright spot in my day. Ohh, if the daffs make it, pictures please. I love them. There is a variety that grows well in Florida so I am told but I haven't had any luck so far.

Yes, there was some sleet here this morning but not much.
